The reporter is a passive-aggressive bitch whose on-camera technique is demeaning and/or provoking others. Being bitchy is funny sometimes. Its no wonder she's funny here & there. Otherwise, she's a full-out hack interviewer.

I don’t get why people think that. As a foreign interview for people who probably don’t know this man, mentioning his wealth especially cuz he’s probably a billionaire is customary, it’s what draws people in much of the time. Also thought she balanced other questions and topics in well

not really. they were honest and interesting questions. jerry says strange stuff sometimes. I would have reacted like the interviewer. and it takes bravery to do that, against someone so big.

@sfairraid 13 Yeah, I must be, freak. That is an interesting question. For comedians, not cursing is a pretty bold decision. Because curse words/dirty stuff are really easy ways to get laughs.
got to stop you at 1:05 - do some research, the laughter is not fake, it was always filmed in front of a studio audience.

Thats what I was thinking. Pretty sure they had the behind the series episodes that showed it was always studio audiences and they refused to put in fake laughter if I am not mistakened.
Yes, that ruined what was otherwise a pretty good interview. Although I also found the reference to Jerry’s “deep pockets” off-putting.
She was talking about the laughs from the actors
I once got into an argument about the show. He said it wasn't funny and what really put him off was the fake laugh-track. I couldn't convince him that the laughs were real. Reminds me of a scene from Seinfeld. "Jerry couldn't afford to have given his father a Cadillac. We've all seen his act."

Came here to say this. Why did she say that? Sometimes when they were recording in front of the audience, the audience laughed so much they couldn't use the best take because you couldn't hear the actors.
Jerry is a class act - he's honest almost ad nauseam - I love it.
Jerry is a unique person. I remember when Seinfeld started. It was often the best time that day watching Jerry with his friends.

Very disappointing response by Jerry to a sincere and heartfelt compliment... I guess a Billion dollars in the bank and constant ass kissing, has stained his soul with an unsightly egotistic canker.
I love how jerry treats the restaurant industry. He knows he's rich so he wants to hook up anyone who helps him. Also I think he said in the Sarah Jessica parker episode in coffee that its always a story for the server when a celebrity comes into eat. Anytime they tell the story people are always gonna ask " how did he tip?" I love that jerry recognizes that and wants to make a great experience/story for all who's involved.
His dedication is extremely admirable

Production trivia: They filmed her close ups after the interview. There are several giveaways throughout.

That's standard practice for such interviews. They have a conversation while someone nearby listens and writes questions. Then they film the interviewer asking the questions.
All of the scenes that were filmed in Jerry’s apartment are in front of a live studio audience. So the majority of the show were real genuine laughs from live people. What a dopey reporter.

I saw him in Victoria BC in 2013 or 2014 and it was an amazing show. Great energy and laughs from start to finish.

@@MrAAAusername Some scenes were set up in a way where it couldn't be aired under a live audience. A laugh track was used for those. For example, scenes taking place outdoors. Scenes that were on stage and not filmed at odd angles nor with blue screen were filmed with a live audience, such as scenes at the diner or Jerry's apartment.
I love how ornery he is in interviews, especially when he feels cornered by a question. So funny.

I was always told it’s tacky to talk about someone’s wealth.
When a person reaches this level of wealth it is common for people to talk about it. His responses are gold though.
Asking one question would have been sufficient. I was somewhere around the midway point I think, when I accidentally exited out, and it seems like it is all she was talking about.
Jerry is exactly like the the character he played on Seinfeld. Arrogant, self entitled and straight up mean. He probably didn’t have to act all throughout the series. He just had to be himself smh

Seinfeld on DVD is reliable. Doesn't require internet, a monthly subscription or sitting through ads. Most episodes have behind the scenes interviews about the episode that are less than 10 minutes each and are PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY fun to watch. Seinfeld on DVD > Seinfeld Streaming

The issue is that people used to separate public and private life. With expansion of social media influence and technology, people blend the two and now nobody has any respect.
Take a second or a minute or an hour to think. Jerry is one of the kings. Such an amazing human.

I thought that she came across as far too aggressive. He handled her brilliantly.

I was just thinking, how hard it is, especially in these times of social media, and every little thing a celeb does being posted online, for a comedian or anybody in the spotlight, to have a successful career coming up and paying dues, with his stand up, then create arguably one of the top 3 or top 5 tv sitcoms of all time, AND end it on purpose while on top. Then after getting married and having kids, start a side project to stay busy, and for fun, (comedians in cars getting coffee) turn into a huge success and get purchased by Netflix, then go back to your roots as stand up, and sell out shows all over the world, along with material that's still really funny, and clean. All that money and celebrity, and he still tells it like it is, his fans, other celebs, and especially New Yorkers, absolutely adore him, and no major scandals or weird celebrity crap. That is one heck of a feat, Jerry is one heck of a guy!
I still watch the episodes on TV and i have the DVD's. Love the show!

Yes..everyone loves Seinfeld. I had all episodes on my pc and it's on most days. When i'm gaming, it's on the other tv above my desk. Or at night to go to bed with. Seinfeld is everywhere. I just started watching all of the Comedians in cars episodes for the first time. (don't remember ever hearing about when it came out)

She was over interested in his wealth because Jerry's estimated wealth of 870 million would be extremely unique in New Zeland. That would actually make him the 10th richest person in New Zealand. In comparison, there are 560 billionaires in the US.

I like Seinfeld for being blunt and honest. but he has said in many interviews that "I don't need them (fans, audiences), they need me". I think he is missing the point that fans are the ones that actually paid for his shows, DVDs, web series and... fans watched Seinfeld series and made it so commercially successful. So it's a two side road like all jobs! you NEED customers/clients/audiences to make your hard work pay.
I understand how sick he is from paparazzi, crazy people on every occasion forcing themselves, losing privacy and... but It's a part of the deal. no popularity, no car collection for a comedian.
