Find an active club that hosts CMP matches. You'll find lots of competitors who can help you get those sights squared away. They'll help with position, sling use and they often will lend you equipment if you don't have something. Probably need to move the front sight to the left a bit if the rear is centered. Does your range have any rules? Arent you supposed to keep the rifle pointed down range at all times? They ok with you literally pointing the rifle down the firing line?
