- SO MANY TACOS! Delicious Authentic Mexican Street food challenge in Frisco Texas (Dallas Texas area), featuring a large number of street tacos, a torta, gorditas, and some shrimp tostadas! By the way, did I mention we are eating in a Gas station? Yes gas station tacos are popular in Texas and luckily Rudy's Kitchen had the hook up for some great fresh food and house made salsas, meats and ingredients ! For this challenge we had only 30 minutes in order to get the meal for free, otherwise we were facing a $50-60 price tag. Will we be able to eat and defeat this giant Mexican food challenge? There truly are legendary, food sales at gas stations, convenience stores, and dives. Even food trucks that sell gourmet eats in various neighborhood hangouts.
Taco Factory off McDermott and Custer in Allen. Tacos in a gas station. Way better than where you are here! Pozole, Menudo, toratas, lengua, barbacoa.....Amazing.
That's my favorite part of Texas, Mexican food at every gas stations, you need to try their breakfast mmmm

My favorite taco is cachete (cheek) of barbacoa will salsa verde is out of this world most savory and the tostada made with shrimp just as delicious You have a great appetite 👍you are amazingly happy whenever you chow down 🌠
Welcome to my home town. Hell yeah the best real street food is Texas is at gas stations. Working people food always good top it off with a Coke from Mexico nothing like the US version

Here in Charleston South Carolina we have a place called Raise the Roost. Its a chicken joint. With all pieces of a whole chicken fried. Tenders. Wings fried. Seasoned fries, wedges, Mac and cheese, mash potato and gravy, green beans, corn, Cole slaw, burgers, chicken sandwiches. It is very very good and they have a lot of sauces that you can get them fried in or as a dip. I think places like this and the one that Joel's at are the best. You can get snacks, scratch offs and gas along with food.
The bread for the tortas is called bollilo and can be found in most latino bakeries. I make tortas de milenesa(flattened, breaded, fried chicken breast) and sometimes sell them to the constriction crews who work in the area. Moat of them are Mexican but there are some from Guatamala and Honduras.

my favorite taco is taco de Tripas. "fried intestines". adding pico de gallo or just cilantro with onions n add salsa is one of the best flavors for the taco de tripas.

My Hispanic boyfriend that grew up in Texas can attest to the Mexican food or Mexican street tacos in gas stations there. He is all for it. It's almost like an authentic food truck anywhere else.

In the intro, watching the carnitas and green chilis being cooked together made my mouth water.
It is very common in the southern US to have BBQ and/or fried chicken in gas stations. Full smokers outside the station. I have even seen a full local restaurant inside a few gas stations.

Bro gas station tacos are the absolute best here in Texas. They are seriously incredible. There is a Valero down the street from where I live that has the best breakfast tacos.
Shrimp prawns and chicken taco are my thing.... nothing else... I only eat seafood and chicken...Great job

Setting up at the house and making tacos on the spot is huge in SoCal and probably many other areas. It’s a huge business. We’ve had catering like that about 9 times now throughout the years and have attended family parties with the same idea.Last year we had a taco vendor cater our fantasy football draft. They made them to order.

There's quite a few gas station Mexican places in Cali. I'd always stop by a few when road tripping up Norcal. They are surprisingly suuper good and great for the road! Those gorditas looked great. I love that they had plenty of variety as well.

My favorite kind of taco is any taco! lol! Fish, beef, chicken, doesn't matter. Love the sauces that you can add to them as well. Nice work taking this challenge down.
