Been looking at getting my first bike and I keep gravitating back to the Rebel 500. Love the styling. Like how it's a neutral riding position as I don't want a crotch rocket or a chopper. I like how the Rebel is light and maneuverable. And now knowing that should I become comfortable enough to take it on the interstate where the speed limits are between 60 and 70 mph, I could keep up with the flow (without trashing the fuck out of it) rather than be the dork on the proverbial 45 mph scooter holding up traffic.
that has to do with European license laws. You can get a license for max 15hp, no more than 0.1kw per kg and max 125cc(petrol) no cc limit for diesel at 16 or A1 motorcycle license max 48hp and 0.2kw per kg at 18 or A2 motorcycle class. So a Duke 390 doesn't fall under it as it is too light for its power. Then at 24 (in Germany) you can make an unlimited motorcycle license (simply A license) or you can upgrade your A1 or A2 to the next class after 2 years so you can also drive without restrictions at the age of 20 if you had prior riding experience. Some EU states allow direct access to the unrestricted A license from the age of 21 although that is too early in my opinion as most men (most riders are men) aren't fully matured at that age.
thanks for the mph video instead of kmh, just rode the 300 for the first time yesterday and it lacks in highway power, i only rode 50miles already want to trade it in for a 500, and i have never in my life drove standard or 2 wheels, well i will wait until the title comes in in three weeks and trade it the 500 looks perfect for me
In my opinion, a bike need power for 120kmh is good enough for long ride with 80kmh. More power, higher average speed require more on biker's mental, physical fitness.
Those are just some aftermarket ones. Look up Honda shadow vlx mirrors and those should fit. And he used a relocation kit those are simple just type it in.

If you haven't gotten one yet, you might wanna consider the Honda 650R. Sounds like it's a bit better than the MT-07, and I personally like the speedo on the Honda more as well as the overall design. Unfortunately, the 650R is closer to the price of the MT-09.
Meant to be same top speed, governor meant to restrict both to 100mph, 1100 would be way smoother though, and both could be modified with a megasquirt to find the true top speed
I'd like to see more practical, less expensive 500cc street transportation bikes that can easily keep up with freeway traffic, have a relaxed seating position, smooth ride, and a conventional motorcycle look, not a fan of rakish motocross, racing styling, or "blacked out" "stealth" looks. Such bikes might not sell well enough with today's youngish rider tastes.

15mph difference between the 300 and 500 , I expected about 108-110 from the 500, but it's a Rebel so, seems legit.
i can't see your tacho when you're doing 100 mph but if you're redlining it you could increase your engine sprocket by 1 tooth bigger than the stock.

Benelli 302S is your answer its 300 motor but doing around 95mph/150km/h you don't need faster bike. They also have 500 cc version.
