Doctor gives 4 drinks to lower Blood Pressure

    I had too many side affects from BP meds so I researched foods that help. After only one week of eating beets (pickle them with apple cider vinegar), cantaloupe, oatmeal, odorless garlic pills, magnesium, potassium, drinking 64 oz water daily, deep breathing exercises though out the day, more leafy greens, only 3-4 eggs a week (used to eat around 8), decaf coffee, dark chocolate, salmon, less salt, pomegranate juice, bell peppers, drinking green tea, almonds, walnuts, yogurt with flax, white beans, cinnamon, pepper. Been doing this for 3 weeks and my BP is in the normal range. My Dr had me on 3 different meds that were not working. They made me dizzy, shaky and my hair was falling out. Can't wait to see my Dr next month to show him that "Food is Thy Medicine". God made us food to keep us healthy. We need to eat more natural food and less processed foods. There were no TV dinners or fried foods in the Garden of Eden. (wonder why my Dr didn't suggest I do this?) cause they make $ off prescribing and know little on nutrition. Another doctor told me this.

      That is true and most doctors are not nutrients,so they don't know. Most good doctors would see you to a dietician or nutritionist.

    1. Water, Lemon & garlic
    2. Beets, cucumber celery lemon apples and coconut water (smoothie)
    3.warm water ginger, garlic and lemon add acv and honey
    4. Pomegranate juice

      why us it my pressure spikes, sometime it goes to 148/67, at times can be 118/66 OR 128/56. How do l normalise the reading?? appreciate yr explanation.

      @@ngfongkhoon7775 BP does fluctuate throughout the day according to activities and aggravation. Do some research about when and how to monitor it regularly in order to get an average for normal.

    Works amazing on lowering bp, tried drinking garlic, ginger, lemon combining with deep breathing for 3 days and it lowered my BP from 160/120 to 110/80, amazing! Thank you so much for this helpful video 😊

    Thank you so much doctor. God bless you. First time in 2 years my BP came down from 160/110 to 125/89 in just 2 days of Lemon-garlic water. So now continuing that and also eating beets in the form of soup, smoothie, salad, juice. Vinegar-garlic-ginger-honey drink (bought this at a store and poured a teaspoon in 250 ml water and drank it as it's very strong). Also eating pomegranates. I never took medications for BP in life although doctors were insisting on it. But a recent change of doctor told me not to worry about my BP, instead take Menopace tablets as many of my other symptoms were due to peri-menopause and not due to BP.

    I am called Lovet from Cameroon, West Africa. Thanks a lot for your channel Dr. I just stumbled on your channel bc I had an argument that really stressed me out and increased my blood pressure to 170/95. I was going through ytube to see if I could have something to drop the pressure and I stumbled on your channel. Just the breathing exercise that I took, after thirty minutes, I am ready to go for work and my pressure currently reads 119/65. You are truly a blessing.

    I lowered my blood pressure 40 points by stopping a drink. Coffee. My 30 year habit of 2 cups per day stopped cold turkey. 2 months later a surprising 40 point drop.

      What about decaf? I switched to decaf about 6 months ago. I suppose it's better? I only have the morning, weekend Americano from Starbucks.

      @@pinkfreud62 Decaf eliminates the majority of caffeine. There is still a tiny amount. But to the best of my knowledge it will not take away the acrylamide content.

    I do garlic and 1 table spoon raw honey and lemon 1 cup of water. I don't mind the taste at all. It doesn't bother me one bit. I do it every day I don't know what these people are talking about smelling like garlic I never smell like garlic

    My dad was from Malta and fruit and veggies are abundant in the lovely rich soil and long hours of sunshine! He adored pomegranates and oranges...he lived until he was 89 and was pretty active and mentally still very sharp almost until he passed. Pomegranates will always remind me of him and yes there was always a bit of a mess peeling them left behind lol! Thanks for these great tips!

    I asked my doctor if there was natural ways to lower blood pressure and he told me "NO". I don't like taken meds due to allergic reactions. So I have been trying your ways which happens to match another doctor I follow as well. Thank you.

      my dad had blood pressure for years and he said an easy way to drop your blood pressure fairly quickly is to simply skip one or two meals a day until you get out of the red zone. of course, you then gotta make sure whatever you eat during the day is healthy.

    I just squeeze organic lemon and orange mix together in a glass, peel a small organic garlic clove. Swallow the garlic clove as if it was a vitamin tablet and drink the juice, this way no garlic breath.

      @@jemreandeau3583 hello, one medium lemon one medium orange squeezed and mix together, no water. swallow garlic glove(small) like a vitamin tablet and drink the juice. if you like you can just have lemon juice or just orange juice.

    I do beet juice almost every day. I still take meds but was able to cut the dosage in half.
    As you said beets are high in nitrates which the body converts to nitric oxide which reduces arterial pressure. 20 point drop. I’m now 110/70. I’ll try some your other suggestions too! I can’t always access my juicer. Thanks for the great info. I love pomegranates and breaking them up in the sink along the natural membranes reduces mess.

    I juice organic:
    3-4 celery stalks
    One medium beet
    Table spoon ginger
    Cabbage
    Carrots
    Make 12-16 ounce of this. Take potassium/magnesium and garlic leaf pill.

    do this yoga posture or breathing technique, breath in slowly from left nostril and breath out slowly from right nostril, do this at least 100 times a day every morning and see the effect on your blood pressure. you can also do this before sleeping, it will release any accumulated stress.

    Humm.. I'll have to try them... I found out that carrots are more nutritious than beetroot, I make smoothies with carrots, beetroot, spinach omega seeds, walnuts and a banana or apple.... But going to try the ones you mentioned for sure...... The pumpkin seeds are apparently good for the prostate...

    I blend garlic. Itea spoon in a tea cup boiled water drink after few minutes on empty stomach.it really helps.brush after no worries. Thanks dokter.

    Every morning I blend beets,lemon,water,ginger,and honey,it has lowered my blood pressure significantly .For my beverage during a work-out or hiking, ,green tea,ginger,curcumin,black pepper,honey,water,and apple cider vinager.I also surf 5 times a week,or hike miles on our beach if the waves arent good.I feel that cardio helps me alot.Im 64 and my blood pressure is below 120/80 always. ..

      @@sandraredmond4812 one good sized beet,or two small ones raw. Cut in cubes ,leave on skin,but wash them.Place in blender with clean filtered water.Blend for one minute,strain out the pulp.Wash blender,place strained beet juice back into blender,and add other goodies like pineapple,mango,or papaya,ginger,or 1 tablespoons honey.Blend once more,enjoy,,,now your ready to do your cardio.Pura Vida desde Costa Rica.

      @@sandraredmond4812 Hola Sandra,I've never prepared beet juice by cooking them so I don't know.Preparing them raw in a juicer or blender is faster in my opinion,but the point is beet juice no matter how you prepare them is a super healthy way to get nitrate oxide into your bloodstream fast.This opens up your circulatory system,and lowers your BP, and gets you more oxygen to your organs.If you do lots of cardio like I do with surfing,and walking it really helps.Im 64 and very active. Pura Vida...

    I love garlic myself and I've heard that parsley will absorb the allicin from the garlic so one doesn't get the "after effects."

      I love garlic, too! I eat raw cloves with almost every meal..............unfortunately it started to affect my esophagus, so I quit eating so much! I HATE parsley but guess I'll start eating it after garlic! :)

    I drink all of these, especially I love beets! You can drink it in the morning BEFORE you shower. My routine is Pre-morning prayers (3min), b/p, brush my teeth, drink my concoction. Then, Morning Prayers (5 min), exercise/meditation THEN shower. Soap does wash off any garlic you have on you. But if you know how to press it ...you won't have to worry about a smell. Worried about breath odor? Swish and swallow vinegar and water. 1 teaspoon of vinegar with the mother to 6 oz of water. Not only do you get more fluids in you...but it is also an appetite suppressant for me. The vinegar will also help lower your BP. Another way to"mask" the smell is to place garlic in a watery warm broth and drink it! It also will give you a "full" feeling and you might decide not to eat that heavy breakfast! Pomegranate powder is a superfood and is sold in the Mid-eastern stores. It has a fruity sweet taste and it makes any smoothie taste great! Speaking of smoothies...I am putting peanut butter like you said in my smoothie today! With a touch of Dark chocolate...which helps with BP! REALLY!! LOL! I will be a good girl and not overdo it!     I am on blood pressure meds, but I love tea made with a scored clove of garlic, and some fresh grated ginger, and a sprinkle of turmeric. I love garlic. I think this tea could be medicine for colds, and flu as well. I like the taste.

    Garlic tea is very good. I grate a clove of garlic using a lemon zester then let the garlic sit in the coffee cup for about 10 minutes undisturbed. I then add hot water, lemon and honey. Makes a great soothing drink for a sore throat.

    A delicious garlic spread can be made by grinding your favorite cheese with cream cheese and fresh ground garlic and spread it on either bread/crackers or if you don't eat grain, just roll it in crushed walnuts/pecans/almonds and chopped up dried cherries and just eat it on your fingers!

    Pomegranate, top and bottom it, slice through the skin along the segments, then break the segment and remove the seeds in a bowl of cold water. Drain, squish them up drink the juice or make ice poles out of it.

    Hi doc, lovely nutrient dense tips
    I'm phd from Rutgers in Nutritional science of Clinical medicine, a liitle tip in one of those drinks, honey shouldn't be heated on any account .
    Any fruit that u freeze or even refregirate when cut for more than an hour looses it's Vitamins n Minerals, fruits are best had immediately after been cut..

      @@justinamusyoka4986 just do it. Just dont drink the acv straight like they said. Over time it will destroy your esophagus. Add 1tsp to 6-8 oz warm water. If you need to, and 1 tsp raw honey, if you can get it. Never, ever drink vinegar straight.

    I take diced garlic everyday, chase it down with water, I eat apple or , parsley or celery to get rid of the smell. I started this since 1988, I don’t have a cold, I don’t have headaches, diabetes, & no heart problems, but I also colon cleanse. I’m okay, I felt like a 20 year old full of energy. I’m turning 80 years old in 3 months. The only thing you have advice your doctor/dentist if you are going to have a surgery, so your doctor can tell you to stop taking garlic a week before surgery ( to avoid) hemorrhage. Garlic thins your blood. Garlic suppress your appetite. They use garlic to detox drug addict. I use garlic as antibiotics.

    I watch your channel all the time. Blood pressure is a big one for me. Among other methods you present, beets is one of my favorites. I make my own beet kvass and drink a glass every night. I can watch my blood vessels expand within a few minutes and my BP goes down.

    All this does work and also I take flax seed( people swear by that as well) and there is also Black seed oil or Black seed itself and u can get that at any India food market.

    Best suggestion given by another angel is take deep breath and release, take deep breath and release... This process for 5 minutes and check your pressure... You will be surprised....
    This is not to negate what this doctor said..
    But only another option, to try...

      I have to do the 5 minute breathing one, its stops the whooshing I hear when laying down for bed, it works well.

      This didn't work for me. Neither did any other home remedy. There are supplements available that have ingredients that look promising, but they are over $60 a bottle and I cannot afford that.

      @@deborahszafraniec4829 I agree; i will try the home remedies to help overall, but I need to take my medicine. My doctor convinced me when he said, we have to protect your heart. So, when I lose that excess weight and IF my BP goes down significantly, only then will I give up the meds. However, I hope to lower 5-10 points with the home remedies. But I'm tired of the deep breathing advice on the web.

    That's funny, the chiropractor that I go to always smells like garlic! This guy is the best chiropractor I've been to, except for the garlic smell! This guy worked on you until your back was feeling better! At times I was there upto a half hour! The guy is one of a kind!

    I eat NO fruits or vegetables, zero -- with the exception of lemon (in water) and about 8 spices including onion, turmeric and garlic. I have NO discernable "body odor" so much so that I do not use (or need) underarm deoderant!
    By the way, it's poMegranate . Also, most of your drinks have sugar.

    Wondering if I can make a vinaigrette with lemon juice, fresh garlic, olive oil and use as a salad dressing over the vegetables that you mentioned and throw some pomegranate seed on top of salad? Would I get the same benefits or does it need to be lemon, garlic and water? I remember doing deep breathing before I would get my blood pressure checked while getting my post cancer check ups. I think the nurse may have thought I was a little crazy, but it worked.Thanks for the information.

      Dont worry. Great advice from this doctor. Beets are often referred to as a superfood. Great for both high bleed pressure and diabetes.
      Beetroot is full of folates, potassium, and other nutrients that are good for your health in general, but research shows that beets may be especially beneficial for people with diabetes.

      You can buy a bottled pomegranate juice without added sugar, and it's expensive but good. Can't help the natural sugar though.

    Hey Doc, I quit smoking 7 days ago. Hopefully, my last time. Cold turkey. I am doing very well, mostly. Sometimes cranky. Cravings not too bad. Tonight I really want to smoke one but I won't. This is the first day the urge is strong. What can I do when this happens? I smoked half my life. It affects my blood pressure and worries my sons and husband. I don't want to go back.     If you lightly cut the skins on pomegranate, fill you sink or a large bowl with clean water. Submerge the fruit and pull it apart. Seeds don’t take on the water and this is an easy clean up.

    Its funny about how strong the garlic can be going through your system. I couldnt believe this. One day I was in the pool swimming laps and there was a man in the next lane swimming beside me. I raised my head to take a breath and I could smell the garlic on him. Unbelievable....Thanks for the tips about the B.P. drinks. Will try them!
