Yooo, thanks for taking a look at my entry (#5)! I didn't put any UVs on it whatsoever, just straight from Zbrush to Marmoset with polypaint and polygroups to tune the materials a bit. Plasticky feel didn't bother me at first because I saw it as a figurine made after the concept. But now I see how it's possible to take it a lot further than I did. Furiously taking notes, I'll make the next one better!
Hey J, great Video, but for your point at around 7:20 about the coating, I can not agree with. If the creator intented it to be a kind of metal, for example aluminium, the kind of coating he chose sure would be realistic as there is a progress called anodizing, which can put almost any color into the surface of aluminium. Also the scratches not having the coating is exactly as it would be with a real object threaded with this method
Thanks J! I learned a lot from this. Maybe next time, I would like to see you showing us some examples those are done correctly relative to the mistakes.
Amazing video as always! I really appreciate your insights. Would you consider making a video discussing the current issues in the game industry? It would be great to hear your perspective on the challenges and problems developers and studios are facing right now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
@@artofjhill Thank you so much! That’s awesome to hear. I’m really looking forward to your video and hearing your perspective. Thanks again for taking the time to address this topic!
Great insight man! thanks for making these. small tip, in ruclips.net/video/X0ZGmTz7ht0/видео.html better to not rotate the lighting with the model there. the one causing overexpose is the rim light.
