PLEASE NOTE: this is a PARTIAL campaign (partial campaigns always have [PARTIAL] in the name of the playlist). It ends just a couple episodes short of getting to the victory screen, but was _very_ close. Unfortunately, mod + game updates became incompatible and it became impossible to continue even with reverting to beta. Total episodes: 57 The partial campaigns were: Malus, Snikch, Imrik. Timestamps: Skip intro spiel - 3:58 Gameplay start - 5:38
7:28 As I recall, in the Darkblade comics, every time Tz'arkan started whispering into Darkblade's mind Darkblade would tell the daemon to shut up. Usually in those precise words - which is a pretty ballsy thing to say to a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh. Then again, Darkblade generally has zero fucks to give. 44:28 Which is probably why they're so ornately dressed, to be honest.
It was the same in the books - as I understood it telling it to shut up was a part of Malus trying to assert his own will and maintain sanity. Haha, good point re lowborn overdressing to compensate!
Little piece of advice for Malus' possession: Instead of turning Malus into Tz'arkan, but instead replaces Malus with the Daemon, resetting his health to max, I am unsure however if the same applies to any buffs and debuffs he is affected by. It is basically a good ability to pop when you are close to winning or if Malus is in big trouble
Yeah, I noticed that when he got damaged there. It seems like it is best to duel with him until he gets hurt and then panic-activate daemonpower. Basically what he does in the books anyway.
He is the most untrustworthy narrator, haha. Doesn't work out too well for him when Tzeentch comes to play, though, I doubt Khaine/Slaanesh are going to be much different.
Good call! I tend to spam buff replenishment on every lord I can, fortunately, as I have a tendency to never build siege and take unnecessary casualties to save turns.
Ah, the Dark Elves, pretty much the only Warhammer race that I can't really attribute a real world culture to, for most of the races have somewhat clear real world influence. Empire: HRE Germany Bretonnia: Arthurian Legend/Post William the Conquerer Britain Dwarves: Scots Norsca: Vikings Wood Elves: Militant Hippies High Elves: Atlantis? Vampires: Multiple Tomb Kings: Ancient Egypt (duh) Lizardmen: Atztecs, Inca, Maya etc. Chaos: Vikings and demonology.
Atlantis is about right for Elves I think. Between their gods and a bunch of lands in Ulthuan having the same names as Greek territories, they seem to be Classical Greece. Plus a bit of that Hedonism. Dark Elves just seem like a rebellious analogue (maybe with some Norse lore Dark/Light elves thrown in). I have heard of the theory that High Elves are the post-colonial British Empire and the Dark Elves are the US - but that's more of a historical thing and has no relation to culture. The Skaven kind of stump me more than anything re culture.
I'll be running a vote for the next campaign when the new DLC factions are done away with. As I recall, SFO does let you recruit cultists when you build a Chaos fortress.
Vect feels a bit more like Malus than like Malekith, I feel. He's got enough sass to match Tz'arkan and went from lowborn nothing to ruler of Commoragh. I wish for the reverse - Dark Elves should have an equivalent of Drazhar.
@@hydradominatus3661 Yep! But it's not the 'master of blades' thing that they both have going that intrigues me, it's the mystery. Tullaris is just some guy. A fanatic, and lethal, to be sure, but not really a puzzle. Conversely, nobody knows exactly who or what Drazhar is - and if he was in fact the Fallen Phoenix, he's effectively immortal and one of the oldest (living?) beings in the galaxy. It means he likely existed before the Fall, and we have no way of knowing for how long (the ancient Aeldari being somewhere between long live and immortal in the first place). At least 10-15,000 years (and not warp years, either). The multiple references to his armor possibly being empty may also indicate that unlike all the other Phoenix Lords, he hasn't been repeatedly killed and reborn in other exarchs wearing their armor.
RuinousInsight hmm I see. Well if we’re talking about mystery then maybe shadowblade could be fantasy drazhar since no one really knows who shadowblade is.
Probably not soon - I'm doing Gorrok in vanilla right now and Tiktaq'to before that. If a new LL comes out, of course, then I'd pretty much have to. Up to CA.

Master and Margarita... A man of culture haha
I'm glad someone caught that =D
Awwww yeah, new series!
It was hard for me to see some good Dark Elf playthroughs in RUclips but this will be great
Had to wait to see what SFO brought to the table!
Me when i saw this in the notification list: *EDGY DARK ELF INTENSIFIES*
Ah yes, Malus vs Tz'arkan: Edgewar.
Thought I’d drop back and catch an old campaign
If malus got rid of that weird ass wing on his right shoulder his armour would be fucking perfect.
It looks a lot worse here than in the book art for some reason. Could be the purple-ification.

The old man (narrator) all but promises to betray Malus, lol.

RuinousInsight just started laughing when he said he would serve you as you serve Malekithe.
Like any good henchman for a tyrant, they work for you but only so long as they can't take your job.
This series will be amazing!
Hear hear =D
Buff Malus replenishment! It’s very important to offset the replenishment loss of being possessed

Militant Hippies! Roflmao
He didnt notice he has to manually pop the murderess prowess
I'm almost certain prowess activates on its own.
@@RuinousInsight on a different note could you do a chaos campaign mod that lets you recruit cultists and such
I'll be running a vote for the next campaign when the new DLC factions are done away with. As I recall, SFO does let you recruit cultists when you build a Chaos fortress.
Possible morathi camp eventually?
Certainly possible. I'll put the next one to a vote after the DLC factions are done away with.
If only there was a dark eldar version of malus

RuinousInsight isn’t Tullaris the fantasy equivalent of drazhar tho

All glory to the youtube algorithm
Praised be the algorithm
Mighty be the algorithm
=D
Nice vids!
=D
Is it Christmas already?!
If DE Christmas is anything like Death Night .. I don't want it.
Are you going to do this but with the lizard men?
What do you mean? An SFO run?
RuinousInsight is it possible?
Probably not soon - I'm doing Gorrok in vanilla right now and Tiktaq'to before that. If a new LL comes out, of course, then I'd pretty much have to. Up to CA.
Well I am patient.Meanwhile keep making great videos!
Does anyone know any way I can read the Malus Darkblade books online for free?
Not I, alas. What the heck - did they stop printing them? Damn, my copies are falling apart.
