Just remember that it's about talking, if you get a topic that does not suit you or your life very much, just make up a story that sounds convincing. It does not have to be true, as long as you can talk about it, explain it, and answer follow up questions.
I got 6.5 overall and each was 7listning , 6.5 in remainings my accent and fluency was more efficient than her still I got this score I think she deserves 5.5
Passing the IELTS Test is not when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr felix .
Taking an online speaking test was undoubtedly was a bad experience for me. While I did receive a passing grade, the entire process was a disaster. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any face-to-face speaking tests in my area, I was forced to take an online exam. I'm happy with other 3 parts but the speaking should be face-to-face in ANYWHERE. In my opinion, the IELTS should abandon the online speaking exam format , and instead return to the traditional face-to-face approach. We should be doing that actively since the pandemic has been underway for several years. The requirement to sit in front of a computer screen in an online speaking exam led me to feelings of artificiality and anxiety. This problem is exacerbated by the lack of a direct conversation partner, making the process even more difficult. Frankly I think they must adopt a more practical and less stressful approach to speaking assessment.

Honestly, I'm not being biased or anything, but I did remember doing better than this girl's performance but still got the same score eventually. I have no idea as my fluency, grammar or vocabulary were pretty decent on a speaking test day. Should I ask for the recheck ?

It depends on how you interpret the question. For instance, I would say that people who are open-minded and non-critical of others are easier to interact with. They don't grade you based on your answer, you have to show off your speaking skills.

You cannot be too sure. I made no mistakes and I still got a 6.5. The examiner looked so impressed with my answers and kept smiling all the way, I used some really advanced vocabulary. Perhaps, my ideas were not well organized... All in all, we don't really know the criteria these examiners follow. Best of luck, hopefully you'll get an even better mark 🎉
