Lifelong Amarillo native. Hope you had a good birthday and enjoyed the town. Next time you're on route 66, the old goldenlight bar and grill is a must for one of the best burgers in town and lots of fantastic concerts. Cheers!

Geez, what are the odds of me seeing the "Circus Room" segment of this video!? It just popped up on my recommended!!
Back in the day driving 6th street was on our way to and from places.
As a kid I would ask my dad if we could go in the "Circus Room" as I thought it was an amusement park type of place, like a Chuck E Cheese.
The day I turned 21 it was my first bar to visit to buy a beer.

You should have gone in the Circus Room, nice folks there, a Neighborhood Bar. I used to live in the WW2 era apartments behind that A&W, in the 70's, paid $75 a month for a cute efficiency..

Great job ! I did notice a street sign saying : Route 66. There are no more signs like that here in California because they get stolen… Now they paint the road instead ! Sad !

Actually if you want to see the real cadillac ranch site, go the Sam's Club parking lot and stand right in front of the front doors. They moved it a few years ago. But you would be better off checking out the Cadillac ranch RV park, it's more interesting.

I grew up about a two hour drive from Amarillo and have been to Amarillo hundreds of times. Never had the desire to see the Cadillac Ranch. People that know about Stanley Marsh 3, know he wasn't a great person.
