3:15 totally agree. It also seems like it's on their roadmap. They need to acheieve all points of parity from Steam (user reviews, social, etc.) and then improve their points of difference (dev-friendly, cheaper systems like coupons, etc.)
I visit them every week just to see what's new ,they have a decent library and sometimes a game you want don't be on steam ,and if they have it ,more than likely it's a better version than what steam has .

Free Demos on any game could bring more people to epic. They could make deals with publishers to let people play their games under a time limit. No sign ins or credit card information. The time limit would vary between games and then you would have to buy it to continue. There's many games I would never give a chance; maybe getting to play a little bit would convince me to buy them.
That's why Steam and Epic have a max 2 hour play return policy. So you can demo the game 😅. I'm joking, but yea, if they offered a real demo, that would be cool

I was so mad because I wanted to play Dead Island 2 and then I go and see that is at the Epic store!. Well I'm at the steam store not the Epic store!, I'm not even in the mood to sign up to too many stores even though I'm a very old and very very old generation if I want to go to the store to get some video games I just go to the mall. I got malll in my city that is completely abandoned and shut down if I want to play Dead Island 2 I can just go to the mall full of zombies there is literally a Dead Island 2 in my city inside of a mall. 😂 I was told by my kids to join the Generation Z and get my games online so I built a PC and now I go to online and want to play a particular game and now I got to join all of these online malls!, I'm putting my foot down I have done already enough adjustments!. 🤬🤷♀️ I can't keep up with life anymore I can't keep signing up with all of the subscriptions in life I have a car but I'm also being told to sign up for a subscription bus pass and a subscription wheels and the subscription radio soon enough I have to subscribe in the online Mall just to use my toilet!. 🤬🤷♀️😂 And epic store has to learn how to lower prices when games have already outlived its time I think that dead Island 2 is 2+ years old! it's time to make dead Island 2 $9.99 not $58.99!. Don't these game developers know that the very old Generation buy games for $2.99 and don't start talking about free games I get scared of those those really say free it really is worth $19,747.58 cent buying loot boxes and game clothes no!, it's called (GAMBLING)!. Epic have royalties from Unreal Engine which is massive, gears of war made a fortune like Fortnite.
I've switched to them full-time after getting ripped off by Steam on a refund. Only complaint is that their catalogue isn't as deep as Steam's.
If they continue to stick around, they will get more and more games each year. But Steam had a big head start, so they will never catch them
