  • On this edition of Jalopnik Reviews, the Honda Prologue might be badged as a Honda on the outside, but its DNA is all GM.

    From Jalopnik's Andy Kalmowitz:
Are you familiar with the word mundane? Good, that means you know exactly what the 2024 Prologue is like to drive. I’m not being needlessly mean, either. That’s sort of the point with this car. It’s supposed to be relaxing and ordinary-feeling enough to get non-EV buyers to think twice about electric cars.
It drives like everything else GM’s Ultium platform underpins. I’ve only driven the Cadillac Lyriq, which this car shares a platform with, and it felt very similar. I talked to some other folks who review cars for a living, and they agreed. This thing feels like a Chevy to drive, even if Honda says they’ve done some of their own tuning to the steering and driving characteristics. Maybe I’m thick, but I just don’t see it.

I sense a naming trend: Prelude, Prologue... when can we expect the Preface?

Looks nice, but not 60k nice. And who the hell buys an EV that isn't a Tesla at this price?

Probably people that actually understand about cars and therefore know that tesla's are absolutely shit!!

People hoping for more reliability and less maintenance cost. But price wise yes, they need to come down still - in time

Not buying all electric yet, Maine winters are cold and batteries don't like it much

For sure. Plus I would hate sitting at a charger for an hour on a road trip. F that. I'd rather have my hybrid.

I'm in the north with the spark ev. Worst I got was 20 miles on a full charge in negative F. This battery is a BEAST in comparison. Plenty of range for day to day.

Man, it must have taken every ounce of effort for you to do this review. Horrible. It's one thing if you don't like the car, but you pretty much phoned this one in. Almost like you got this assingment as a punishment. Put some effort into your craft dude.

I’m not a Prologue fanboy, but this review is contrary to the do.ens of others on RUclips.

Put effort into it? Why?? If he doesn’t like it, he doesn’t like it. If you want some fake ass review channel that literally sucks the automakers’ teet then go watch Redline Reviews lmao. His review quite honestly shows that he isn’t a fan and doesn’t think it’s a great buy. Since you’re so hard for this thing go buy one and block this channel

He put about as much effort into it as Honda did into the car. Seems fair to me.
