- Every individual and family in Hawaiʻi deserve to thrive. However, many struggle to stay above the poverty line. These are our ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households.
In 2022, Aloha United Way (AUW) and the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation (HCF) united to lead the ALICE Initiative, addressing the financial insecurity affecting 44% of local households.
Our Vision: A thriving Hawaiʻi where every individual and family enjoys generational prosperity while calling Hawaiʻi home.
