Oda has definitely had a multitude of characters either so evil or so annoying that you just wanna crack them in the jaw, but this bastard doesn’t just take the cake, he takes the whole bakery.

Charloss does his punching bag job so well, we’ll cheer on one of his fellow celestial dragons to beat the shit out of him.
Saint Charlos is a great reminder of Luffy’s based mentality. In egghead, the vibe is that Luffy doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions because he can get away with it now, but he had the same mentality when he couldn’t.

Well we know ALL celestial dragons are genetically superhuman. So not a suprise, doflamingo is just a typical CD, that gives you the idea of what happens if they trained and earned their title.
If Oda actually decides on killing someone, i think Saint Charlos will be the perfect candidate. Everyone hates him and storywise him dying wouldn't actually be that consequential.
A celestial dragon getting killed would literally have more consequences than Kaido's death

Oda knew Charlos would be the image that comes to mind when we think of the Celestial Dragons and he did a fantastic job designing him with that in mind!
The assassination attempt on Charlos was King Neptune almost attacking him for trying to kidnap Shirahoshi
That's not confirmed, just head canon. Personally, I assume that it was either the whack by St Myosgard being counted as an attempt or another incident where-in one of the Revolutionaries got close but failed. That or Wapol accidentallied an assassination attempt. There's a reason he's on the run.
Personally I'd leave Bellamy, Buggy, and Helmepo in another category than the Celestial Dragons. At least those 3 had great character development. Buggy, for instance, bugged me to no end, until Impeldown. The prison arc gave me a new found respect for him as a character. By the Marineford arc, I was actually rooting for The Great Buggy.
Helmepo is probably the least evolved, but he provided a great contrast and friend to Koby.
Bellamy, he still has a lot of room for growth should Oda ever bring him back. But between Skypeia and Dressrosa he matured from a arrogant teen to a mature person fighting major demons.
Saint Charlos has so much potential for character development that I can't help but feel that he'll actually eventually start thinking for himself and asking himself why he's been nearly assassinated and struck in the face twice.

I really hope that when/if we get to Mariejois we get to see and help Marie. Like, we can only hope the best case scenario is that she's wounded but ultimately desperate to escape. Worst case, she's broken and wishes to stay.

I think that every single marine is planning a coup against the world nobles now that i think about it... the only ones who are loyal to the celestial dragons are maybe kizaru's faction and thats a very very very very very very big maybe. so yes

@@lukeoconnor2920 I think greenbull is a more orderly version of donflamingo. He just believes those in power are those who are right. If the marines and gov split up since the Marines at least from the perspective of a admiral would prob be stronger as they have so many powerful characters while all the world government has is Seraphim, Pacifista and the CP's (and other secret powers like gorosei and Imu but they don't know that). If I were a marine then I would think the main fighting force of the government is he marine force and if they split from the gov then that means the gov practically has nothing aside from a few cyborgs and secret agents. Since marines would look more powerful at first glance i think green bull sides with the marines at first.

Those are bubbles like the ones luffy was riding inside, not a hard plastic so things go through if pushed not air tho.

Not quite true. You also have the Gin's of the world who ended up as potential future allies but never reappeared. We also have the 'this guy was bad before and is still bad now' like the St Charlos' of the world, too.
If Luffy is to overthrow the world government, it would be perfect if he left it up to Doflamingo to decide their fates.

we have seen a lot of horrible things being done by villains who were redeemed. Maybe not as horrible as what St. Charlos has done but still. i still remember how pissed off i was at Franky and his gang after seeing what they did to Usopp but now Franky is one of my fav straw hats. In all honesty, i like it when i see villains siding with heroes of the story for something or even some villain personal growth after their encounter with the heroes like we see in the opening side stories of each chapter.
I think the assassination attempt is just referring to Neptune trying to Save Shirohoshi, and St.Mosgard facilitating the escape was him smashing Charlos with a Kanebo
Like we should definitely explore the possibilities, but this just feels like Morgans’s typical sensationalism at play here; I mean he even said Vivi was missing or kidnapped but she’s sitting in his office lol

@Jessie Hogue I was thinking along the lines of lined up against a wall and shot. But then again there's a lot of characters in one piece with sufficient physical strength to give Charloos a terminal friction burn.

I remember when I was in theatre watching film RED premiere, the entire audience moaned the second he showed up on the screen.
Charlos punch is in my top five punches. It’s probably top 2 for character development, but on pure entertainment, United States of Smash is my favorite.
With the whole rule of three, I think we need another Charlos punch later on but this time from a Fishman. So far Charlos has been hit always in the defense of a Fishman or Merfolk. The first being Luffy's hit in order to protect Camie and Hatchan. Our second strike came from Mjosgard in order to protect Shirahoshi. I say this possible final hit needs to now come from someone of the Fishman/Merfolk races such as Jinbe, possibly in order to protect a human.
Personally, I don't really care whose fist the next punch comes from.
I just hope it takes the head off of the shoulders.

even back in Arlong Park Hacchan was a pretty likeable character imo. Sure, he was an antagonist, but he didn't seem like a bad guy, just someone who had fallen in with a bad group
I still remember 15-year-old me googling too see if any cool characters from One Piece had my same birthday. The despair I felt when I saw that it was him actually made my day worse, lol. Why must I have been born with June 1st? Its been 8 years and I'm still salty about it.
When i understood that helmepo was this cool sidekick close to coby years back i was like WTF?!? It was a big surprise for me to see a wacky character like him in romance down to became as he is today! It is a character which you don't expect him to be that serious & all and waiting to not see him again in the future AT ALL or even mention him in the process.That's how oda works i understood,carefree & stuff and while you wait for bigger vlains from those first years to be mentioned again like don kreeg etc helmepo is one of those very few exceptions in general! Or even buggy for instance that oda made him supposedly a yonko while others holding the strings!

11:11 there was no Attacker to begin with. They just cant say that one Tenryuubito hit another. So another 'Person' has to be the culprit. Tenryuubito have immunity so you cant punish one for hitting another one, but you still have to satisfy Charlos. So in the end some poor random slave will be killed and blamed as the culprit.

i have a mini theory: its heavily suspected that Kuma can repel the ability out of a devil fruit and that could possibibly be how inanimate objects recieve devil fruit power

The important thing to remember is that Charlos is NOT horribly evil. He's NOT a vile scumbag. He's average. He's dead center of all the World Nobles. There are likely some much worse than him.

Hey Liam, I’m sure you won’t see this but I’d like to talk potential expansions to Kizaru’s Pika Pika no Mi. What if his awakening was an adjustment to what kind of light he is? Like turning into UV or Gamma light that is not visible to the human eye. What if he could use a prism-light splitting ability where his body can split into a spectrum of borsalinos with different personalities? Or the ability to use his eyes as flashlights (or nipples, looking at you Franky).

Oda didn't let Orochi redeem when he had all the reasons to be a crazy vengeful psychopath for what the Kozuki clan did to his family (and at the same time the Kozuki felt legitimated because his family did bad things as well)... and his story ends with the Kozuki actually killing all the remaining Kurozumi without mercy instead of making peace and maybe say sorry for slaying your entire family (on both parts).
And i know that the sins of the fathers should not count etc etc... Orochi ACTUALLY did horrible things so i'm not saying that Momo is the same as Orochi, but i think he would have shown moral superiority by forgiving him and aknowledging that his clan did horrible things and they created the monster. Instead they perpetrated the cycle of violence and revenge.
If Orochi is not redeemed, Saint Charlos MUST NOT be redeemed, i swear i'm going to find Oda if he dares lets that piece of shit redeem himself.
