This is going to be super helpful for those just thinking about which degree to take up! I was blessed to choose something that "makes a lot of money," even if I'm no longer a developer, all the things I learned esp the mindset as a Computer Science major was worth it. Always relevant to any industry
WHAT is the best undergraduate degree for me whose done online digital marketing courses before trying to decide on the best undergraduate degree that provides $70,000 or more yearly salary.
@ShaneHummus Sorry but I found a study that 75% of people are willing to work at a job that they like even if it pays less. In other words, 75% choose career fulfillment over salary when working even if it pays less.
Just learn as much as you can for free & then later decide if it's worth pursuing a degree. If you watch some of his other videos, not all professions require degrees, such as computer related and tech stuff, but also a few others. It's also good to take a certificate program if you really want to test the waters, rather than committing to 4 years off the bat. Taking a short skills and trades program is also a good way to secure something that will more likely land you a job. But honestly my advice is to learn as much as you can for free from books and videos. Because basically you will be learning the same thing in University anyways, if you don't like studying it in your free time, you won't study it in University either. Just make sure you don't fall in the trap of just sitting home and rot. You are going to have to get out there and work eventually. So you have to keep that in the back of your mind.
The honesty!! I admire you for saying this because it’s hard for me to admit I feel this EXACT same way. I hope you’ve find that career that fulfills you
@@thomasjaviez233 In a sense this is good advice, but it avoids the real problem: studying and doing a job are not the same thing. The real point is that almost everybody needs a job because we need to pay rent, food, gas, phones, internet, clothes etc. Studying a bunch of stuff for fun might seem nice, but it won't really help you gain some skills so you can actually get a job, nor does it really help you understand what you really like as a job because often times the job is very different to the theory you learn in school.
I think my issue is that I'm dreaming of a couple careers, but the road to those careers is hazy and sometimes feel like a shot in the dark. It's my fear to spend so much money and time on studying something only to find out down the road that the career I wanted is far from what I've been setting myself up for.
@@samirachoudhury6489 I'm feeling a bit weird on what I am doing.. seems like "Transport engineering" is a thing and deals with roads. Pays not good related to most other things, but is actually fun and pays enough for a living. You can use alternate means to earn your assets.
You need to try each one out. Try to find people in the fields to shadow, or find internships. You absolutely need to know which one you want to do first before you invest all the time and money. I wish I had done this and waited a year before enrolling

My Graphic Design degree was a waste of money and time. Absolute waste. Art degrees are pointless. I could’ve been a Tattoo Artist, as I was an apprentice before diving into college, but here I am in debt and jobless. Yes, Graphic Design is a growing field, but not everyone makes it. I am so incredibly turned off by Art now thanks to the “prestigious” college I attended. Art used to be my passion.
Maybe you should do a video on degrees that are in “high demand” like Graphic Design! The term is just a way for a vast amount of people to get sucked into it
@Deborah Oyebade “Graphic Design is a growing field, but not everyone makes it”. Let that sink in. I’m well aware of the pay rates. I already gave up. Looking towards another path that is 1.) Less competitive 2.) Brings me happiness Graphic Design is in HIGH DEMAND. Not every single person that is a Graphic Designer will make it. It’s competitive. Some folks aren’t meant to pursue particular things. For many, degrees that are in “high demand” are a waste.
I majored in Communications and Media but once I got to orientation and heard more about the major I realized I would hate it. @@shyjy6241 It wasn’t anything specific, but when I was in orientation there wasn’t anything they said that interested me. I just felt bored. Your channel has helped me as a college student, Shane. It helped me pick what degree I wanted to get and you helped me realize I wanted to do healthcare, specifically radiation therapy. I found out my university offered that. So, after serious thinking, I am now enrolled in that program and have been loving it. I feel like I won't have to switch my degree like most students. Also, I feel like it has been my calling and I wouldn't have known that was an option without your videos. Keep up the good work, Shane!
@@FCS_Panda I'm still in my studies. In order to do radiation therapy, I need knowledge as a radiologic technician. Then I can specialize in radiation therapy. Radiology is kind of a general term and there are multiple things you can choose to do with it. Like you can go into nuclear medicine, MRIs, radiation therapy, etc. I'm finishing up my general studies then I am working towards an associate of applied science in radiologic sciences. Then I'm getting my bachelor's in radiation therapy. So far, I know it takes a good amount of clinical experience inside a hospital and the program at my university is pretty competitive. It takes a good amount of knowledge in anatomy, but I have been enjoying it despite it being difficult at times. It's still something I wish to get a degree in. I feel like it will help those that need it and that makes me satisfied and motivated to keep going. Does that answer your question? 😃

In my experience, something that can help you decide what you DON'T want to study is reading textbooks (or free downloadable PDFs) on courses you're considering majoring in. This will give you an idea of what you're getting yourself into before you fully commit to it. I wanted to be an engineer until I read an engineering textbook 😭. I quickly realized this wasn't for me.
Hey bro, I'm also about to take computer engineering but I have 0 interest in it🙂, don't know will I be able to do it or not. Can plz tell did you change your major or stick to engineering? It will help me out .
@@yanishshrestha8331 I decided to change my major since my new interest is in medicine. I'm doing a pre-med course rather than engineering. Anyway, if you're not interested in computer engineering, why did you pick that as your major? Do you have skills that work well with it and someone encouraged you to try it or was it just because you didn't have any other ideas? Since you don't like it, I'm guessing you also don't want a career in it. If there's a different career you want to get into, you should pick a major based on that. If you don't have anything in mind, maybe you should take some time to explore your options. College is expensive and time consuming and it's worse if you use loans to pay for it. I think you should be sure of what you want after graduating before you start.

4th year here. If you are trying to get a job strait after your bachelors (no masters/PHD) pick a degree that teaches USEABLE SKILLS that are IN DEMAND like computer science, accounting, any specialized engineering, nursing, etc. Avoid anything that is too broad like biology, economics & history. They may sound interesting, but not many people actually become a 'scientist' 'economist' or 'historian'. Lets say you major in economics, when you go to apply for jobs involving any banking/finance/management you will be competing with all the people with more specialized degrees (accounting, finance, business management). PS.. 4 year universities are a trap for kids who don't know their career path. You end up paying 15k a year to fuck around and fail classes until you find what major works for you. When you do figure out your preferred major, it may turn out the school you chose is not suited for it very well for it. If you go to community college first, this give you an opportunity to discover your interests (for MUCH cheaper), then find a 4 year uni that matches your goals. I would also recommend looking into trade school. There is currently an surplus of college grads and a shortage of skilled laborers (because all our parents shove college down our throats like it is the only possible option). These trade schools tend to be cheaper and shorter than college, and many could get you 50k/year off the bat.
In grade 10 soon im gonna be in grade 11 and I hv to choose my subjects. I don't like science much so I won't be taking that as of now. Is accounting, finance, business administration, bsc in software engineering good? Bcoz in the unis I looked the software one doesn't require any science as prerequisites. And I may also enroll in the acca program to become a certified charted accountant very soon. Is this a good choice sir?
My high school guidance counselor said i was very good at math and very good at sciences, so i should go into engineering because that combines both and will keep my options open as i go through it. WORST advice in my life ever. I did follow their guidance , i hated it , was a extremely difficult and heavy workload degree (we only class that did not get spring break week because too much work), and on the other side the financial rewards were much more limited than business, finance or IT degrees. i ended up going IT route afterwards and did very well, but wish i could redo those 5 years. Fast forward to today, and my son was thinking of which degree to go for, and even today, his high school guidance counsellor said the same thing to him. Thankfully i was able to circumvent that. And guidance counsellors to this day follow the same mold as 35 years ago. Completely useless. This video is far better than any of them, and it would have saved me 5 years of my life and career path.
I purely followed my passion and it totally worked out. Learned to program when I was 11, started on my degree in 1990, and by 96 the internet happened, and suddenly my degree was worth its weight in gold. Luck happens.
Right now, I'm changing my degree from Biology major/Geoscience minor to a Geoscience major (geology concentration)/Biology minor. For me it was never so much a question of the kind of career that I wanted (career in Paleontology FTW, above anything else), but how I was going to get there. The thought process when I initially went Bio major/Geo minor was "you combine biology with geology, you get paleontology!", and since some of my other highest interests are volcanology and to an extent marine biology (especially if it involves sharks), it would be perfect, right? Well, I was half-correct. My problem is that I reversed what my major and minor should have been. Over the past few years, I began noticing more and more that bio major programs were generally geared more towards pharma/med/nursing than they were towards my interests. Heck, they really only started touching on what I was really into when I enrolled in an evolution course, part of which, of course, involved the evolutionary history of life, and by extension paleontology. However, this also meant taking a lot of those courses that were much more geared towards people trying to get into medical fields (Organic Chemistry in particular just gave me nightmares). It became abundantly clear that I needed to get the change done after I finally got into contact with a paleontologist who works for the university, and after listening to what my main interests are (which included a short little discussion about the Mid-Tertiary Ignimbrite Flareup), she suggested that I was more interested in the macro/ecology aspect of biology, like how organisms interact with eachother and their environment, while the majority of what I need would really come from the geosciences. Especially looking at a lot of the courses I need for the Geoscience major, the choice seems clear to me now: -Straight up Paleontology offered in the fall -Stratigraphy to go with it -Igneous Petrology to satisfy my inner volcano nerd -Field Geology to get out there in the world to work on-site Yeah, my semesters are gonna look a lot more exciting for me now, and it's giving me renewed motivation to go on.
I haven't watched all of your videos but it seems everyone forgets the medical laboratory community. There are several jobs/careers in demand. They have different education requirements from post high school certification, associates degree, bachelors degree, masters degree and medical degree: phlebotomist, lab assistant, medical laboratory technician, medical laboratory technologist/scientist, histology technician or technologist, cytology technologist, pathology (physician) assistant and pathologist.
damn I thought I knew all this already, but actually going through it step by step and having someone guide me through it was really helpful and helped me catch things that I missed before. Thanks Shane!
Looking back on my life it was good thing that I didn't waste my time going for a degree that I wouldn't use. I like the way you did this video because it gives you a process to follow and I wish that I had years ago when I was in high school. You raised more than a few interesting points. Among these that I made me smile was getting practical experience in something that really interest you. It was the way I found myself in the long run.
I've already chosen a major, Environmental Science, but I stumbled across this video after trying to find a way to narrow down which area in my program I wanna specialize in. This was super informative! Kinda wish I had done these steps when I was first picking out a major lol
Degrees with "science" are 99% a 'no no'. Continue seeing this Channel, best advice: visit workers on the field\degree you think you need, they will resume the life experience, i would love someone tell me this in my 18s. Good luck!
@@manvi4514 I’m trying to switch majors into medical imaging technology (radiography). Environmental science is interesting, but in terms of job prospects you would need at least a masters. It is a broad subject that integrates many disciplines such as geographic informational science, geography, biology, etc. if you want a job with just a bachelors I recommended taking it with geographic informational science where you would have to use ArcMaps. Or with chemistry, green chemistry is something that is needed nowadays. But in terms of the options you mentioned, microbiology is the way to go. Better job prospects than psychology and environmental science if you want to have a job with just a bachelors. I may be a bit biased because ultimately my values lie with just living a simple life. Graduate and just work. If you’re stuck I recommend assessing your values: are you materialistic? Do you care more about security? Do you care more about family? Do you care more about helping people? These are some things I wished I knew before picking a major, so I want you to think carefully upon these things before choosing a major. Ultimately you should be doing what you find interesting and align it with a job that fits your values. For example, I’m changing into MIT from environmental science as even tho environmental science is interesting MIT fits my values of job security and helping people. So list down your values. Even tho you have listed them down, I feel like it would require you to go through University to help you discover yourself a bit more. I did 3 semesters of environmental science but I’m just working full time atm till i get into MIT. It took me 3 semesters to figure out what I really want to do. So everyone has their own journey and I’m sure with time, you will be able to figure out what you want tobdo

I like researching and thinking and exploring new things and writing and sharing thoughts, so I saw anthropology as perfect for me, and I want to learn more in university and get a PHD in this field. My plan to make money is to work as a graphic designer or start my own business, and this is just for the beginning. If that doesn't work, I have no problem working as a professor at a college. Anyway, my life goal [dream] is to be a famous or simply successful artist{ I make music }, and author / researcher I feel like if I don't study in a major that is related to these things, the unrelated major I chose will make me too busy to do any of the above. This is why I chose anthropology. What do you guys think? And do you have any suggestions? What do you think will suit me better than anthropology? I thought of physics, but I'm not really sure.
Pfft. I mean, Those are all over the place. Anthropology? Like, okay, cool 👍. But then you want to be a graphic designer, or own a business? Those aren't consistent with history or philosophy or anthropology. And then! You want music and fame! That's not the same as any of those. Go study business if you want a business, be an anthropologist living a quiet less exciting life, or go write music and pursue drama. That's like 3 wildly different lives
Career and Lifestyle goal: When do I want to retire? Where do I want to retire? How much money is enough? Where do i want to live while I work? What type of jobs do you like? Do you want a leadership position? Do you want a chill job? Do you want you to eventually become an entrepreneur? Do you want a 9-5 job? Do you want to be constantly busy and challenging yourself?

This video was great Shane! I think one of the biggest problems is that people are told that a Master's degree (in any major) will allow them to start off with a great salary, or allow them to advance at a decent pace. I was in an undergrad Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program (the institution will remain anonymous) and the previous sentence speaks volumes to my prior experiences. It's a decent field, but it was not my cup of tea. If a Bachelor's was the minimum for a job, I would have been hesitant to leave the program. However, a Master's degree was the minimum for entry-level jobs (some in the field even toyed with the idea of making it a Doctorate lol) and the compensation is pretty low. Your videos have been great and I would not have left the program if it was not for the inspiration in them. You have helped me see the other fields in the market that I never knew about before.

Yess! Dude think hard on what you choose as a major and don't start college until you know for sure otherwise it will be a waste of time, money, and effort.
Shane made a good point about finding out he didn't need to do a whole four year BA to join a doctoral program in pharmacy. I think he said elsewhere that he went to an expensive private pharmacy school: maybe the two years he saved at BA level paid for the more expensive DPharm? The same used to be true of American MD and LLB courses, though the level of competition probably means it hasn't been possible in the past 60 or more years. But it might apply in other professions.
I'm split between becoming an English Professor, or a Marketer. My end goal is to publish many books and have them turn into films. But I've heard from Shane in another video that it'd be beat to study a non-english degree (as it's not that great) then learn writing on the side. And marketing is something I'm also slightly interested in and I definitely predict is as an area with a lot of job growth.
This is very helpful! I will try doing some self reflection by answering the questions and exercises in this video. Hopefully I'll learn something from it!
Funny there was an ad about quitting your 9-5 and paying for a course in the middle of this video. Appreciate the transparency and knowledge you share!
As a computer science of 1st year, I'm currently enjoying my course and it's like it was made for me, I never had a dream of "everything" but this course gave me the most interest. Of course, I had to be ready for the future years and it would become harder.

When I partnered on youtube like two decade ago I was excited but then life hit me and I didn't take advantage of my time. Skipping forward - I was passionate about gaming until streaming drained the life out of me. I came in with the desire to stream full time but by the time I hit affiliate on (Tv) I was already burned out and it didn't help that I didn't fully progress so a year or two later the endless hours of talking to the wall didn't help. What did mess me up was taking a break because it hurt my progress. My passion to share my experience with the world on the endless gaming journey took a blow. I don't want to band wagon every single new game, I want to play what I enjoy, finish beating it and move on to the next but society mentality is "new new, I want new! must see new!" and that leads to slow growth or no growth. Leads to more spending in hopes of perfect timing. Now it becomes an investment which isn't always ideal for most chasing the industry feeding into the quantity vs quality.
Something important to note is that when he says talent is overrated, that’s because according to studies, it totally is. Why is that? Because in most cases natural talent isn’t real. A good example where it is real is the hard head that good boxers can have. Why is that a good example? Because it’s tied to your physical body, the thing your genetics actually affects. Something like math though? There’s no gene for that. That’s all experience and opportunity, not natural. So this make the “strengths/weaknesses” part of his video have a caveat. Don’t think of this list as what your potential in any of these things are, think of them as your current stats in those areas. That changes the way you assess a job. Let’s say you really like the type of lifestyle and pay of someone in economics and you find the subject really interesting but you’re not that good at math right now. You do have to account for your current weakness in math, but if you’re okay with putting in extra time to improve that weakness then you can still go into that field.

Hi, i am preparing to go to college this year and I study really hard, although i do not have a specific goal ( what do i want to major in). In my country things are a little different and it is really hard to change majors. This video really helped but there are people in my life saying that I should not study that hard and ideally drop this for the reasons above. The thing is that i really love learning but everyday i put myself in to a very time consuming competitive and exhausting prosess that will last for years. I just would like to know what you or anyone in the comment section think about not going to college at all.
Same here. Only that im 16, and im really great with school. I work hard, and sometimes i lag behind a little, mostly because im confused of where im going next. I like learning things, and i like teaching people about the things i've learned. Something sparked in middle-school-me while i was tutoring a bunch of my classmates for an upcoming exam. "This makes me happy and im REALLLY good at this" and thus i began high school with one and only one goal in my mind. Now that i only have a year left of high school, that goal seems to have faltered. I still like teaching, and i certainly fancy the idea of earning a Phd, a degree of the highest qualification, in a stream, but what would that stream be? Do i really want to get into academia? (i should probably mention that rather than being a high school teacher, i'd like to be a college professor) and then theres the never-ending questions i.e do i really want to this? (yes) am i just in it for the money? (mostly) Do i really have what it takes? (depends). I keep having the same conversation in my head over and over again, and eventually stop dumbfounded at the question "But what do i want to major in?." I am interested in so many things, but the things that interest me arent something that i really want to teach. Example: Im really into astrology (as every other teenager cause s p a c e), geology and psychology, but i dont fancy teaching those. Biology (specifically, microbiology and human anatomy) and chemistry (Not in the traditional sense, mostly talking about quantam mechanics here) gives me such great joy when i get to educate someone else about it, but learning about them gives me a headache. Any of that make sense? Sorry for the long comment. I just really needed to get all this down somewhere.
@@nairanishanth5173 omg same, that sounds super similar to me! It’s like for a super long time I felt like I knew what I wanted and now I’m a bit lost (if that makes sense in any way)
@@liamsoyun60 Dont worry, it completely makes sense. Most of the time, passion for certain subjects fades because of the way you're forced to approach it. You see it in a new light, one that you haven't decided if you enjoy it or not. I think the most typical changes from one degree to another is between architecture and engineering. Architecture is Art, and Engineering is practical/science. Found out today that Architecture wasn't for me and I don't want to jump into engineering not knowing which kind to begin with in the first place. That said, this video did help me ponder a lot as I am doing three classes plus a design studio. Wish me Luck! Update: cs was the right move. Doing dats science and cybersecurity certificate along with a math minor. I got two years and a half left. Let me know if anyone needs advice.
@@shyjy6241 oh i should have update this comment a while ago. Long story short this degree is awesome but its general. Cs has lots of branches auch as data science, cybersecurity, software engineering, software development, video game desiģn, web development, etc. I love this degree, however, it isn't easy. Unlike architecture its technical and pratical, but like architecture its like designing and theory. Of course, one gets paid higher than the other for rational reasons. Cs involves math but not all the time. You do need calc 2 under your belt and discrete math too when doing the degree. Calc 2 basically determines if you can handle the work load and computations. Though the class i would be more worried about is data structures because this will involve more conceptual programming. I can't say that it will be the same difficulty as i had with that class but just be sure to watch videos about the subject. Still doing the degree and I am doing a data science certificate and cybersecurity certificate. Also to kill more my sleep i am doing a math minor.
@@ayeshaaa1011 you don’t need calc so you should be fine. Geometry tho will be important. Tbh if you do calc (which I highly recommend to see if you might be more than an architect) then you should change degrees. If your still not sure let me know what’s up and I’ll try to help you get you to a direction you might like.
Really good video. I had only the first step with me. Your explanation using venn diagram really makes me visualise stuffs rather overthinking. Good work...

My dream job doesn’t even ask for a college degree, nor does it have one. But I kinda fear it may not be steady enough to pay my bills so honestly idk what to do
Cool. I was looking into physics but I am getting the vibe that those theoretical majors are harder to find jobs for, or the jobs are tangentially related to the field. Good to know thx! :)
The social aspect also plays a part (assuming you have friends). You just go where you have the most friends and social life (if you are lucky enough to have them at all). If not, then you get more cerebral and abstract. The real answer is to become philosophically enlightened, but that is still on the horizon (and humans have never been).
I have absolutely 0 desire to go to college but I'll still go & grab a degree just so it's easier for me to be able to work abroad. At least I'm in France so I'm not going bankrupt, I can chose something I'm interested about

I think my problem is that I don’t know what I want to do in my life. I have passions, but anytime I pursue them as a career, it begins to fade.
I hope you’ve find that career that fulfills you
exactly
I wish this video existed when I was a high school senior in 2008-2009. But I believe that having work experience is helpful that way you have an idea of how it is to work in a certain industry and see if you like it or not.
My favorite topic, beacause I am so lost in finding a degree that fits me! ❤
@@mirableruby8852 we got a fake Shane.
it is really one of the most stressful things ever
I’m studying law and I’m in my third year though I’m really good at it and my GPA is so good but I decided to change my major because I’m not enjoying it at all and I don’t want to work in this field so I decided to take a one semester break to think about what I should major in, thank you for the video it helps a lot!
what did you pick?
Wait ur allowed to take a semester break in ur school without failing? So lucky
The law has a number of avenues. Investigate those before deciding.
Facts!!
Especially looking at a lot of the courses I need for the Geoscience major, the choice seems clear to me now:
-Straight up Paleontology offered in the fall
-Stratigraphy to go with it
-Igneous Petrology to satisfy my inner volcano nerd
-Field Geology to get out there in the world to work on-site
Yeah, my semesters are gonna look a lot more exciting for me now, and it's giving me renewed motivation to go on.
Wonderful
Good luck!
Hi I’ve done my first year in environmental science. Are you still doing it? If so, how are you going?
@@koujicaseria1694 how is it going for you? I am stuck up between environmental science, microbiology and psychology

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in E-Commerce, which involves the fusion of business and IT. During the university application process, I had a strong inclination towards CS/IT despite concerns about the perceived difficulty and my aversion to mathematics. However, upon commencing my degree, I discovered my natural aptitude for IT subjects and realized my lack of enthusiasm for business and accounting subjects. It was a decision I regretted, but I have since shifted my focus towards the IT domain and plan to pursue a Master's degree in CS/IT after completing my current program.
There's nothing to regret if it lead to you realizing what you really like to do. :)

Well, listen, my plan is as follows: My passion is researching and writing in history and philosophy.
Thanks! now I know which degrees to consider. Appreciate it so much Shane, really helped.
Any time!

Step 2 is the most difficult for me haha, I'm used to being hard on myself

Sad the only thing I like is art but if you get good at it there are some jobs that you can get in the Arts. You can work in animation you can be a storyboard artist for films and TV shows. You could be a concept artist working for gaming companies. And like you mentioned you can like start your own business. To be honest anyting that doesn't have to do with art I find so boring and I hate it.
I am a very creative person, ive always thought graphic desing would be good but idk if i would be able to get a good stable job with that.
For me it was going to work and trying different jobs that got me where I needed to decide. Which was really funny because it was the same thing my counselor told me to go for awhile ago.
Loving the tips, very practical and applicable in my case.
I was happy from working out - my passion - went for DPT - turns out I’m not good enough at school for that program - or maybe it’s just so much work that I give up early…so much for the “passion”
What did you find hard about it? Just wondering
Just graduated high school less than 2 weeks ago 😳 I have yet to send my enrollment because I know how important it is to choose the right degree.
Yess! Dude think hard on what you choose as a major and don't start college until you know for sure otherwise it will be a waste of time, money, and effort.
What did you end up choosing?
Hopefully I'll learn something from it!

shqipe🤝
im starting college monday, and been changing my career 3 times this year .. im stuck
Many do not know themselves well enough and ended up picking the wrong majors.
I think there is a common mindset trap of
“ I have to work for 20 years to get rich AND THEN I can travel.
Really enjoyed this steps, how fundamentally important they where and related to choosing a degree! Got super into actually writing it all down.
The best way to choose ur major is that, go with the program which has prerequisite of the subjects u liked in ur school or what u love reading about.
1. I like playing guitar, collecting embroidery patches and hoodies, fixing and detailing items Working out.
2. Grit, stoic, making people laugh,

(depends).
I keep having the same conversation in my head over and over again, and eventually stop dumbfounded at the question "But what do i want to major in?."
I am interested in so many things, but the things that interest me arent something that i really want to teach.
@@TSOTL-0302 I'm 17 but sure, I'll accept the geezer title 😭💀👍
I'm 19 year old Indian Guy and I've decided that I'll work in Either as An aerospace engineer or Software Engineer that's why I'm currently preparing for IIT-JEE (world's most Toughest Exam in Engineering) and Then I'll come To THE United States 🇺🇲💜🇮🇳 for My Masters and Work In The USA for a better way of Life. Thanks for Guiding Us 😇
I can't be the only one who put non confrontational in both strengths and weaknesses

strenghts: ive got an eye for detail, am very careful when working (reference to the metal kits), im honest, i am insensitive to gore
weaknesses: i have trouble seeing things from another persons pov, bad memory, rejection sensitive, rather bad social skills
id rather not be in a leadership position
I think the most typical changes from one degree to another is between architecture and engineering. Architecture is Art, and Engineering is practical/science. Found out today that Architecture wasn't for me and I don't want to jump into engineering not knowing which kind to begin with in the first place. That said, this video did help me ponder a lot as I am doing three classes plus a design studio. Wish me Luck!
Update: cs was the right move. Doing dats science and cybersecurity certificate along with a math minor. I got two years and a half left. Let me know if anyone needs advice.
Good luck! Have you been able to decide what you want to get into?
@@sweekrititiwari3923 yeah currently pursuing a cs degree. It's kind of like Architecture but more math, science, and theoretical.
I’m thinking of getting into architecture….but the amount of math I gotta study is kinda scary…Wht was ur experience on this….?
@@ayeshaaa1011 you don’t need calc so you should be fine. Geometry tho will be important. Tbh if you do calc (which I highly recommend to see if you might be more than an architect) then you should change degrees. If your still not sure let me know what’s up and I’ll try to help you get you to a direction you might like.
Really good video. I had only the first step with me. Your explanation using venn diagram really makes me visualise stuffs rather overthinking. Good work...
Thanks for watching!
Informative vid ! Maybe one can also try part time studies and work. I've done it while exploring my career options and earn some income. But it can be quite busy having to handle both sides especially exams period.
I have no clues on what career path to follow, even worse i have no ideas what my passions are
If people were just motivated enough to put out this level of effort I would say they’ll be fine
My dream job doesn’t even ask for a college degree, nor does it have one. But I kinda fear it may not be steady enough to pay my bills so honestly idk what to do
If you don’t want to have a life, choose physics. I speak from having experienced it lmao.
Ahahahahhaha
I have a buddy who majored in physics. He now works as a truck driver. I guess he got a good return on that investment.
No
@@MrPeachUDR truck drivers make bank lol
At least I'm in France so I'm not going bankrupt, I can chose something I'm interested about
Physical therapist -> nutrition consultant -> Barista and or a cooks/chef -> investment manager -> marketing consultant.
frik it, imma make healthy food catering business while doing crypto and stocks on the side
wish me luck 🙏🏻
Keep making videos for us Shane please, we truly appreciate it.
Will do
