- [Verse 1]
Revolution in their minds
The children start to march
Against the world in which they have to live
And all the hate that's in their hearts
They're tired of being pushed around and told just what to do
They'll fight the world until they've won
And love comes flowing through, yeah!
[Verse 2]
Children of tomorrow live
In the tears that fall today
Will the sunrise of tomorrow bring in
Peace in any way?
Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear?
Can they win the fight for peace or
Will they disappear? Yeah!
[Verse 3]
So you children of the world
Listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in
Spread the word today
Show the world that love is still alive, you must be brave
Or you children of today are
Children of the grave, yeah!
[Outro]

I love the drum fill ins....sounds like he is tapping a garbage can. It really makes the song shine.
@@SgtCheapo cultured reference
I would love to see Sabbath with a guy banging on a keg like Slipknot
Double tracking. Brilliant
This song defines head banging, it demands you do it The rifs and sounds of Black Sabbath created the heavy metal sound. You can hear the Black Sabbath sound in most every heavy metal band to this day, awesome stuff.
This is one of my favorite Sabbath songs,..that breakdown part is just the heaviest there is..its evil and just plain effin heavy!.
Can confirm. my head instinctively started bobbing the as soon the first note hit.
This song is a true heavy metal hymn🤘🏻😎✌🏻🎸🥁🎶🎵
Masterpiece of Sabbath
If I knew how to do mashups, I'd love to hear this with Blondie's Call Me
I know this was a year ago but In This Moment does a Call Me cover… it’s pretty dope
@@ExWitDaFacts I will definitely check that out!
Debbie Harry is metal as fuck
Blondie is way to softcore in music for Black Sabath and Electric Wizard fans.
Amo essa música!
Obra Maestra.
ama
Geezer Butler could really hit the nail square on with his lyrics sometimes.
Still growing as a lyricist here, but greatness awaited on Vol. 4
Iommi the riff master
Black Sabbath King Of Metal in the World
This song was written about my generation and it's still relevant today.
We're on the same boat.
@@laurasusannalisaharleysantera YES WE ARE
Grandpa did you remember to take your medicine today?
this track was released 4 years before Iron Maiden was formed. Audience was completely puzzled when they first heard this one live, but still clapping their hands nonetheless. "Ahead of their time" is an understatement for Black Sabbath.
Iron Maiden was formed in 1975
@@rodneynewcomb8818 and this album was released in 1971 so i'm right.
Dark and heavy
WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE PEOPLE
Masterpiece!
I love this album..cheers mates.:)
Best song in the world
That guitar riff starting at 2:20 kicks ass!
Yea system had a similar riff on BOOM! they definitely were influenced by the sabbath!!
It's from "Mars - The Planets" by Gustav Holst, written sometime around 1918.
very fitting lyrics
HELLYEAH BLACK SABBATH 4EVER THE MASTERS OF HEAVY METAL GETCHA FUCKING PULL!!!!!
I'll drink a Black Tooth to that!
Best song I’ve never heard until now
I love this recording, it sounds so clear.🤘
Double track on the 🥁
Bill ward kicks ass.
So ahead of time
1971 though!! Way ahead of their time
Have a question. During the song it sounds like Bill is drumming on something that makes me think of a sheet of tin. I'm not a drummer so it might be one of the drums Any ideas? Or did I smoke too many back in Jr. High...
Bill's playing higher tuned Toms and it was recorded on a separate track and added into the mix.
@@CrazyLG72 Thx man. That makes sense to me.
@@starshiptrooper7670 they're actually Kettle drums called timpanis.
@@CrazyLG72 Thx dude.
@@CrazyLG72 Yes, I can see that. Thx again. Geezer sounds bad-ass on here.
Proto or early new wave of British heavy metal
4:50 - Did I just hear a sound that triggers Jason Voorhees back to life as a villain?
Bill McClintock treated this song so gooood.
rhythm-section from hell!🤘🤘🤘
White zombie cover is awesome as well,,
Sepultura wouldn't exist without this song
2022 relevent
95th like mine!
The first Thrash Metal song? This came out in 1971.
Athena Follower who said it was thrash?
I think Symptom of the Universe qualifies more than Children
Ozzy said they wanted to sound like the beatles but kept fucking up and released it anyway.
More like proto thrash
what are you talkin about I've seen the most annoying Gatekeepers consider Black Sabbath heavy metal I'm a stoner metal and doom metal aren't metal
It was a thunderstorm out it was 2am I was sitting in the dark all alone I saw a huge dark shadow gliding across the moon lit living room floor this song was at the end and the room got freezing cold chills were in my chest when I saw a face looking at me a few feet away this song was whispering at its end
I need a 100+ volume control.
I’m at a hundred and it ain’t enough.!!!
A real toe tapper!
seems an 80s song with an heavy fuzz distortion

My like was number 237, that's a cool reference bruh plz don't upvote any more.
