- My first time ever camping at the beach turns into an adventure to remember! I cast net the inlets for shrimp and bait then turn my sights towards the bull redfish that are running in the surf.

The small fish you put back is called a Spot… they are in the drum family. Great bait and big ones are delicious to eat.

First fish was a croaker. It’s a drum, kind of a mix between a red and a whiting. They taste amazing!

So a helpful way to keep shrimp on an alive is to hook up right below the horn it has most of the time the fish hooks itself that way
And avoid the dark stuff as that’s the brain.
