    Bro, I appreciate you for your videos. I own an 04 and my fuel pump went out and I thought it was a hard job to do, but come to find out, I can do the job myself.
    The dealership wanted to charge me 600+ for the job, but I'm confident in myself that I can do it myself. Thanks again bro!

    Just used this video to replace the fuel pump on my '03. It was the original fuel pump and took some "convincing" to remove the old one. This video saved me at least $300. Thank you!

    Eric, great video! You walked through the job nicely and it really is as easy as it looks! I picked up a used fuel pump and got my '03 running again for $40 thanks to you! A couple of things I wanted to point out for anyone else heading into this job that weren't covered: all three plug connections are different. I found it helpful to look at the disconnected plugs to see how the release catches worked (on the replacement pump). Also, the pump to tank screws are quite soft. They'll strip out (without damaging the tank flange) if you get them cross threaded. I grabbed the screws when I picked up the used pump so had extras. Just be careful when reassembling things. Keep up the great work - your videos are all outstanding! Thanks again for the help!

    Great video thanks very much. I just replaced the pump on my Sore to without any problems. Just one question the Cap that’s on the Little tube attached to the electrical connecter, I pulled it off should I leave it on? What is that Tube for?

    Hey man I’m attempting this on my Kia Sorento 04 right now and my problem is the six screws holding the pump onto the top of tank. They’re rusted beyond belief I already stripped two using using the impact driver and wd40 of course. Break out the screw extractor/drill?

    Thanks for the insight, good job! I noticed at the end of the video you showed the hood of your 2003 with the paint wearing off. I've got a Blue 2005 with the same thing, and the roof is also doing it. What do you think caused this paint failure?

    • @ERICSDIYGARAGE
      @ERICSDIYGARAGE  3 года назад

      it's just normal wear, it's where the sun hits the paint everyday it's normal for it to fade over time

    • @ERICSDIYGARAGE

      get a flat head screwdriver and put it in the small holes that it has and tap on it counterclockwise to loosen it. the cover will pop off eventually

    How did you release the pressure in the fuel lines so it doesn’t squirt fuel everywhere when disconnecting the lines?

    • @ERICSDIYGARAGE
      @ERICSDIYGARAGE  5 лет назад +2

      I did release the pressure, if you look back at the video you can see that a small amount of fuel leaked out but it was not pressurized

      ERICSDIYGARAGE I had mine off once before like that but this time it seems to have heaps of pressurised fuel in the line.. Thanks anyway.

      I can take your request in consideration but if I'm being honest the vehicle is running just fine right now and I have no plans on replacing the fuel filter at this time. if you take the fuel pump out it has clips that you can undo to remove the filter.
