How do you know what way to put it? I always end up doing mine the wrong order so if its (x+3) (x-6) i have a tendency to do (x-6) (x+3) and i also sometimes mix the negative and plus symbols together.

The two brackets in above would still be correct - you can swap the two brackets around (as long as the signs in them are correct).

In terms of mixing the plus/minus, that is an issue 😊 Just remember that they multiply to give the number on the end and add together to give the number in front of the x.
