    Hi Finn. In 1976 in France in front of Cherbourg I was a part of the big project of instal a big reef in the Manche sea. It was a big succès. So you see its a long terme dream of the divers like me. The reef was made of a concret blocs with a lots of hole on it.

    I grow up in Bacong, negros oriental. But now we move in Siquijor where my mom's place. I love that place Bacong.... I live there for like 24 yrs., Enjoy watching your vlog... Since before.. godbless and keep safe everyone...

    That artificial reef have flourished, that can only happened when everybody come together for a common cause. The Philippine government should get involve so as to create jobs and provide food for people around the area and can to a dive resort. You guys are doing wonderful job, keep it up, be safe.

    Wow! This one is mind blowing. . Amazing to see how these beautiful corals have grown out of these thrash bottles. The bottles themselves has become beautiful too. Like a decorated bottle. And the marine life there celebrating for their new home. Kudos to all who exerted their efforts to protect and conserve the marine life. Stay safe all.

    Wow! That's amazing! Joint efforts of producing reefs as marine life shelters are much appreciated that are beneficial for the fishermen.     You have a lot of cool vlogs but this is definitely one of my favorites. It's so moving how everyone works together to cultivate coral reefs. With as much damage as we've done and still do to earth it's just so great to know the other side of the coin trying to help the environment.
    I can't wait for your future revisit of that site.

    Glass bottles are recycled in the Philippines. There are buyers that would go house to house to buy it.

      I used to work in caloocan city hall before and there was a suggestion box where you can put the formal letter of your suggestions. I'm not sure if they do it in Manila city too.

    There should be more SANCTUARIES along the coasts of the Philippines to regrow / re-populate the marine life to assure a sustainable food source.

      Yes and no.
      Yes because it would help.
      No because it doesn't solve the issue, too much commercial fishing, too much nets, too much illegal fishery like dynamite.
      Solve first the source of the issue and than help nature.

    2:40 - "Re-using trash as Artificial Reef in the water. So That's pretty cool!" - Finn Snow. That's a good idea, Finn. You should champion the idea or project to collect trashed plastics and melt them and convert them into Artificial Reef structures. This will catch on like wildfire. These plastic artificial reef structures could be habitats for commercial oysters or green mussels.
