Aerith is unconditional love. She is the divine goddess, the mother life force whom loves all her children no matter what. The 3 children represent fragments of sephiroth, all whom are the pieces of light that are vastly buried beneath sephiroth. Sephiroth turns to Jenova whom is his mother, but she represents a dark controlling broodmother alien parasite that creates darkness and resistance. This is a beautiful scene because Kadaj chooses Aerith, and Aerith being the unconditional force of love, the one who forgives no matter what you show her, brings him into the life force.
Except Kadaj clearly is under the impression the voice belongs to Jenova. Unless you think that perhaps he sees her at the end, when he reaches up? I suppose I could see how maybe the moment after he asks if it's Jenova, he realizes it isn't, since his eyes widen and he hesitates, but other than that there isn't really anything showing he chose Aerith over Jenova. :(
its good that they actually decide to give peace and understanding to Sephiroth. Despite his actions he was still a victim. Well most of evil, he has done was more due to Jenova controlling him. True he partly let himself be controlled by Jenova cells, but after being betrayed by his best friends, betrayed by Shinra he was extremelly mind broken. Its good that after being reborn as Kadaj he found peace.
@@MizukiUkitake its more that Kadaj was lost child, he never had mother and never knew what love was. He represented this side of Sephiroth. what he deeply sought was simply love. Sephiroth let himself be controlled by Jenova cells, because he felt it was the only thing close to real family for him. It was twisted idea, but after being betrayed by his best friends and Shinra his mind was broken.
Its interesting as Kadaj was Sephiroth reborn, he also had good that was originally in Sephiroth. Seph after being betrayed by his friends, betrayed by Shinra lost control over Jenova cells inside him. However, deep inside there was still good inside, he still sought motherly love. When he was reborn as Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz, there was still that good. In the end Seph found peace he sought so much.
This scene is so damn sad :I Kadaj is my favourite character and it was horrible to see him die. Gosh I cried so much at this scene TT^TT Poor little one ...for me he never was a puppet.
FFVII is so fucking amazing. I love it so much. Aerith, Kadaj, Sephiroth, those three are so great! I love Sephiroth x Aerith so much, there is so much more story and depth in this series then just looking at the surface.
Poor Kadaj. He and his brothers were controlled, used and manipulated by Jenova. None of them deserved to die. I really wish they would bring all the brothers back. I mean, why not? It's FF. Does anyone actually ever die? :)
Because they have to atone for all the bad things they did when they lived maybe they will be reincarnated that's what happens when a soul in the LifeStream often enough reincarnation occurs depends the individual who dies look up Final Fantasy 7 case of the LifeStream will give you more understanding how it works
Notice something?Kadaj said "I shall heal you" to the Geostigma-infected kids in the Forgotten City scene and what happens when Kadaj,Loz and Yazoo`s remains are purified by Aerith`s healing rain and touch the bodies of Cloud and the Geostigma-infected kids with pure Lifestream energy?
The number of aerith simps in this comment section is astounding 😅 This movie was a fricking masterpiece. So well done. I was really sad to see Kadoj go. His little "brother?" When Cloud caught him is so sad. Paired witn his breakdown in the church... you can tell he, Loz, and Yazu really just wanted a family, wanted their mother back. Its... sad...
Kadaj is a boy, fyi. And Loz and Yazoo were badly injured by Reno and Rude. They were decimated in the explosion they set off to kill Cloud on the rooftop.
why did it have to be him out of all characters! it could have been Yazoo or Loz why did it have to be KADAJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAAAAAAA!!!! :'( It was too sad
why the fk did he turn into pyreflies lol. so aerith sent him to the farplane with her limit, great gospel, hear the hymn? why did i never notice this??
Öttinger Qualitätsbier The fact that he wanted the love of his mother made him doing bad things because he was lost and influenced by others. He thought that Jenova was his mother because he was a puppet. Sometimes people don't understand the depth of the character and judge by the fact that he's weak against cloud and the fact that he doesn't appear much at the screen.
With hindsight of how they write Kadaj in other stuff like Dissidia Opera Omnia, he's intended to be akin to a misguided child, doing everything to earn the approval of a Mother he idealizes but has never known or met. That obsession leads him to extreme immoral actions, under influence if not necessarily control by Sephiroth, which DOO kind of frames like a manipulative "favorite" sibling using that naiveite
Yes and no. Kadaj was basically an infant. He was only doing what he was told by the person he trusted with his life. He's bad because he did bad things, but he's also not necessarily evil.
Fatima Ali it’s complicated to say the least. It’s also open to interpretation considering she dies unexpectedly. Aerith dated Zack. Zack died trying to protect cloud and Cloud took Zacks memories in SOLDIER as his own. He didn’t act like Zack, Zack was confident and didn’t take himself seriously. Cloud on the other hand for the first half the game has a giant stick up his ass. Aerith knew Zack was dead, she didn’t know clouds relationship to him. She had a connection to cloud because of the link to Zack, but to say it would’ve amounted to anything, who knows.

I just have to point it out ... the way kadaj gets taken by the lifestream is very similar to how zack was taken by angeal ... seriously ...
At least he went in peace unlike THE OTHER TWO
UmbreonWolfLover well, pieces
UmbreonWolfLo
@Orochimaruswife1 He,Loz and Yazoo were born of pieces of JENOVA and Sephiroth in The Lifestream.

Kadaj is the same voice actor as steve Stayley
