2024. You saved this family with this trick. It worked for our minivan. Thank you. We were trying to reprogram the fob without success. Using our regular key was a headache with the alarm going off every time. Now we can open the door to OUR car. Thank youuuu!!!! ❤
You're like a total genius!! Why didn't I already figure this out?! So simple! Wish I would've looked this problem up way sooner, because I'm pretty sure my neighbors hate me by now. Thanks again. Don't matter that I can't hear you when you're talking outside of the car because you've made your point very clear and I thank you sooo much for being such a smart person and sharing this. Kudos to you!!
It's quite ridiculous that they now design cars where the alarm sets off just because you've decided to use your own key to manually open the door (instead of using the remote). For me, I've got no choice but to unlock my door manually using my key just because the remote's battery ran out. Thanks for the tip by the way.
Hurray! You saved my life and gave me a smile like mad joker for hours. My wife nearly divorced me because of its embarrassment sound it’s made in front of peoples😜.You made my days❤
Thank you for your video this information will end the week irksome Beep beep beep beep, now people will not be annoyed every time I open my door specially my neighbors. 👍👍
after locking all the doors i open the driver seat door from inside and before shutting the door should i lock it from inside and shut or lock it with the key and shut?
@jeromebello9 when I had this problem due to loosing my key, I knew I had to do something. I found this solution and figured you and thousands of others would have this same problem. why not share the solution, just being kind, glad you found my video!
My procedure will work on most all models of the moderns cars. I trick the system in thinking I lock the car before I get out and there is about 15 seconds it allows you to exit and return, forgot your hat. The system thinks you are going to return soon, so it does not arm the alarm. By manually pushing the Lock down then leaving the car, the system does not get a notice to arm the alarm. Pretty cool huh!
Apparently I have watched this video but I don't remember watching it, had this problem with a new car and looked on RUclips. It's a very aggravating that I cannot use a physical key to unlock a car.
Thank you so much I lost my main keys and haven’t gotten to getting a new set so I use my spare everywhere it that alarm goes off everywhere I go and everybody looks I’m just like it’s my car people don’t worry 😂😂 but huge thanks now I won’t look like a dingus anymore 😂
So I lock all 4 doors including the driver door with the lock button, and then do I unlock the driver door only to get out and then push the lock button again? Sorry I’m kinda confused, I hate when the alarm goes off it’s so embarrassing and annoying
Yes, you just unlock the drivers door by pulling the door handle. Do not use the door lock button. Watch my video very carefully as I show each step and tell you what I am doing. Good Luck.
@@samowens44 ok men thanx & my issue is the key don't turn & the key fob not unlocking so i don't know what's going on. but I'm thinking on looking for a wire & try to unlock the door with the wire. any suggestions men
okay, wait.. maybe I wasn't following correctly.. you said when you go to get out, you push the lock button on the door panel, but then you said manually push the lock down on the door.. but wouldn't the lock already be all the way down if you pushed the lock button on the door panel already? help me understand please bc i just had to get a new key today but they didn't have any key fobs, so I only have a regular key until I can get my remote one next week 😫
okay, nevermind I answered my own question lol.. when you go to open your driver side door after locking them all with the button, the lock will pop back up again.. at which point, you push the lock back down manually.. it's been a long day, sorry y'all 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@Lindsey Barron, I will explain in detail.. Turn off the key. put it in your pocket. Push the master door lock on the door panel. This will snap all door locks down in the car with a loud sound. Then grab your door handle and open the driver side car door, when you pull the door handle, it will cause the door manual push button lock to come up, unlocking just the drivers door. All other door lock are still locked. Get out of the car. Before closing the driver door, push the manual door lock button down. Now close the door. Now you can leave the car to go inside a store or home. When you come back to the car, you can use your key to open the door lock and no alarm. I have given ever detail and hope this will help. I feel you misunderstanding was the pushing master door lock and the manual push down door lock.
mr.simple5586, I know the feeling you had when you tried my procedure and it worked. You are most welcome, it was my intent to help others with this information.
OK, so this works when I immediately get back into the car, just like in the video. But when I unlock, say 5+ min later, the alarm still goes off. Is it just me?
You have to use the procedure each time you leave the vehicle so the alarm is disabled to use your key to enter the vehicle. It is not a one time fix. The answer is a new factory key fob. Expensive!!!!
@@samowens44 I understand that. Like I said, I was able to do exactly what you did in the video and the alarm did *not* go off. The difference is *time*. After you lock the driver car door, then wait 5+ minutes, then unlock, the alarm goes off for me. If i do *not* wait 5+ minutes in that scenario, then the alarm does *not* go off. I don't know if I'm an anomaly.
When you get out of car, do not try to open door right away, the alarm is still active for a while. You are right, the is a time element. No one has stated this Senareo . I think I remember in making the video, I do try to get back in the car too soon and did get the alarm to go off. I did see there is a red alarm light on dash that goes off after the timing period the it is ok to open with key.
@Emily Waldahl, car door locks only lock people out from getting into the car, they do not keep you from pulling the door handle and getting out of the car. Just try it, when you pull the door handle, watch the door latch button, it will rise up and unlock the the driver door leaving all other door locks locked. It is a safety feature on all cars that will not trap you in the car. Just try it and you will see how amazing my information is if you try it and follow exactly what I tell you to do in the vehicle. Look at all the comments of people that have tried my solution, not a one has been locked in. No go try it!
My truck does this. It won't unlock the door from the inside by pulling the handle I simply just pulled the lock up and got out then pushed the lock back down. It worked the same way.
I don't have starter remote. And EVERY TIME I unlock it with my key IT HAS TO SOUND THE ALARM. It's a Chevy Equinox 2007. Where is the Master thingy that he talks about? Pls HELP!
@Angie Ayala, sorry for your troubles. I do not know your vehicle. My advice is to look very closely to my entire video and follow the steps I demonstrate and your alarm should not activate. Good Luck.
The fob is a big part of the problem. I finally took my fob apart and found that the battery holder solder connection had separated and loss power. The answer is to spend $500 for a dealer fob, but this is a hold lot cheaper. That is your choices.
@Devlin Juries, thanks for the comment. This problem is happening to a lot of folks I am sure. I hope others find my video and solve their problem like you did.
Sorry about that, may be that your car has some differences that interfere with the procedure. You may even call the dealers and they may tell you how to do it. Or search for your card and the procedure I describe.
@Mark Wade, Just pull on your door handle. The lock will unlock. When the doors are locked, they only are locked for people outside of the car. Just follow my video, no one has said it did not work.
I am from Kerala and I don't know English language well.. I think this will helps me.. I am so sad.. If anyone know the malayalam of the words he tell.. Can anyone help me...plzzz
@Halle Mcknight, I only gave a solution to operate the locks with the key and not have the alarm going off. If you want it all to work correctly, you need to get someone to fix your alarm system. My solution is for alarm systems that do not work correctly. The problems can be with your key, but there are other things, so take it to the dealer, pay $600 and you will be able to operate the locking system correctly. Most of the folks looking for the solution I give are not concerned with anything but being able to use their key to unlock their car.
@carp tackula, I suggest to watch my video all the way thru and follow the steps I demonstrate. It will work and this has helped a lot of folks overcome that dreaded alarm going off. Good Luck.
@dana44ism, you are right, should have rolled window down. When you make a video like this, you do not think of things like that, your mind is focus on delivering the message. I have had times when I am too far from the camera also and sound is down. The message still comes through from the majority of information, just sorry, I can't be perfect all the way through.
