This tour is worth watching several times for the plant combinations alone; and the path both contrasts with and enhances the plants on either side. Very nice indeed.

Really enjoyed your garden tour and your narrative and commentary. I especially LOVED the drone footage at the end, gives a true perspective (and bird's eye view) of what you've done with a relatively small space. Simply spectacular!!! I learn so much from you. Cheers.

Another great tour. Adding the path was a good idea - it gives it a nice finished look and having the plants hang over in places soften the hardscape and make it look natural. I'm jealous of the people who live close enough to come to your garden tour next year. It's probably best I don't show up cause I'd probably come with my shovel and a pick up!

We were in our local garden tour through the University of Illinois extension service! It was so much fun! The difference being from your own tour is, folks had to pay a fee to tour the 7-8 gardens involved. We’re also in zone 6 and the tour was the end of June. There was quite a bit blooming at that time. I hope you can get a tour lined up! Well worth it!

I just stumbled upon you channel. I love it! I took screenshots through the entire video because the ideas and inspiration just wouldn’t stop.
Such a fantastic garden. I have been trying to figure my little space out, but I ordered (tiny, as it turned out) plants to install now (mid October) and I just can’t visualize what they will be like in the spring. I sure hate that I’ll have to wait about 6 months. I am putting some shrubs in (clearance purchase) but feel that I am going about it backwards.
I wasn’t able to work on my little space for the last two years and it became so overgrown, killing most of the plants and sprouting tree shoots and weeds. So I had it all cut down a month ago and now I am racing to get everything in.
Your can do/can try attitude is urging me just to try it.
    Thanks ❤👍🌺🌾🌱💐❤️👩🏻‍🎨

I LOVE following your channel, your garden is the closest thing to the Garden of Eden. ❤ I however, would be hesitant to allow people into your yard. I think your generosity in videography is more than enough for people to see. From experience if you allow strangers, I.e., the general public onto your property you run the risk of people mistreating your gardens: taking cuttings; trampling on the plants or “feigning injury” and coming after you. I have had these aggravations and although most people are good there are always a handful who ruin it for the others. Think about it again, please. Love your channel.

Opening your garden will inspire others to try something similar. Especially your neighbors. The arial view really shows what an oasis you have created. See if your community already has a garden tour with other inspirational gardens that you can be added to. If not, then maybe experiencing your garden will inspire someone to get a garden tour started with 8 to 10 properties. Most garden tours charge a fee that covers costs involved and possibly even an insurance rider for the day. Just lovely!!

I love the way you incorporate small plants, large bushes and trees in the same area of the garden. My question is: do you worry that some of the larger bushes will out grow their location and overcrowd the adjoining plants? The different sizes of the plants definitely add to the charm, but how long do you think you will have before the garden gets too crowded with some of the larger bushes? I want to do that, but I’m not sure of what plants to put next to what plants. Thanks. PS Great garden!!

Adding the brick sidewalk was a great idea. It has made the garden more cohesive. I do love how some of the plants block the pathway. I have done the same on my side yard and made it into a secret garden. I remember when you planted the ajuga , I love how much it has grown and soften the path edges. What a difference the path has made. Love the Aerial views. Thanks for another great video.

Think about only for a weekend or two. I think you should do that and then decide whether that’s really what you want to do. Our local water garden club did that annually for a weekend only and some of the gardeners had trouble. People can tend to be rude, inconsiderate and destructive. Then there are those with criminal intent that come back for whatever purpose they have - steal your fish or ornaments or maybe a plant - or worse. For the most part people want to admire your work and get ideas and advice and you should be there for that but then you never know who might be a culprit. Talk to other gardeners, join a garden club if you haven’t already and see what they do or think and get the word out. Your quarter acre is absolutely beautiful and love that you share it with all of us outside of your world. I don’t mean to scare you but I think you might already have an idea of what you might come up against. I hope what little I’ve learned from other gardeners helps.

I was on a garden tour last year and I really enjoyed it. I did worry about liability, so you might want to check with your homeowners insurance policy. Most likely you will be covered. Should anything happen. Luckily, nothing happened in my yard I would recommend you doing it. It’s such a great garden to share!

We live in Sourh Carolina, so it would be worth the trip. Also could you tour other people's gardens and give advice about what to plant? My garden needs your expertise. I'm excited for you.
