    Whatever anyone says about Glee, they did some fantastic mashups.
    But when people complain about this episode as Glee "regressing" to out someone, I think given they tackle/d modern issues, they couldn't not do an episode with someone being (accidentally) outed... and in the next episode (I think), that's a very real interaction for Santana that some people have. No every family member is as amazing and accepting as Burt.

    I get where you were going, saying outing changes lives, and it should always be that individual's choice if/when to come out. But bullying changes lives too people have killed themselves over being bullied. Finn in season 2 was shown to have body issues, in part due to being bullied.

    I think it’s just because I like to validate everyone’s struggles. You can say outing and saying hurtful comments about someone’s weight are two different types of situations, which they are…but I think they have both results that we don’t want anyone going through. Being part of the LGBTQIA community(which I am) and then not being accepted and disowned by your family or not being your true self that can definitely effect your mental health resulting in depression or su*cid*. Santana has been making comments to Finn on how he looks and especially in his weight through out the season, and males can develop EDs. Therefore being a mental illnesses that you can d*e from, because it can really take a toll on your mental health as we can see something like that happen in season 4. I think I look at it in a mental health perspective especially with what happened to Rory in this episode which he didn’t deserve since he’s just being himself, and he’s new. That’s just my opinion ❤️

    I think outing Santana was an awful thing for him to do.
    While I don't think she deserved it, she had it coming--there were people who were loyal to her and kept her secret and she was constantly bullying them instead of being grateful for the people who were trying to be her friends.
    Eventually someone would have hit a breaking point with how mean she was to many of them.

    as a former gay teen now trans person with depression and a suicidal state of mind, let me tell u that bullying kills people. so if we're gonna lay all the cards on the table, lets lay them all. im all against outing people, im also all against tearing people down to make urself feel better, cause u dont know the struggles and mental wars people might be going through outside ur little sassy demeaning hurtful interaction. there's no lighter or heavier, or worst subject, itd be completely subjective to the person. being outed might change ur life for the best, being bullied might make u tougher and a more resilient human being, and at the same time, both can also lead u to a dark isolated and at times dangerous place.

    While I agree that outing someone is never ok, Santana (my favorite character) had been insulting and bullying Finn for months and months. Gay or straight, a person can only be pushed so far before they snap. Also, they could've done a better job with Santana coming out. Her relationship with Brittany kinda started as a joke and they used to go around holding hands. So, it wasn't like Finn dropped a huge bomb of a secret. Again, I'm not condoning outing someone at all. I'm just saying that in this fictionalized world, I understand how Finn got to that point.

You're ignoring the very real homophobia people face, even today, nvm over a decade ago. It's not just general verbal abuse. Watching these scenes make me cry every time. Santana has made it clear she loves Brittany but does not want to/ isn't ready to come out. There has already been a video made to out and shame her further, and she's already scared of her parent's reaction. Like most people in the LGBTQ+ community.
      It is not equal and Finn is definitely grossly wrong in this situation. You can handle your bully without outing them and possibly damaging their life indefinitely. It's a step too far, period. Kurt and Karofsky are a perfect example.

Santana (and Sue) was SUPPOSED to be Ryan Murphy's 'mean' girl outlet voice and her tirades were some of the most hilarious and creative bits of writing on the show that were meant to be mean and provocative but also nutty. This show couldn't air today because ppl get offended even with jokes on TV and dont even allow themselves to laugh. Makes me sad her jokes are cut, Naya's delivery was epic. She was always taking the piss out of everyone and did NOT deserve to be outed by Finn even for mean jokes. Let's flip the script. Santana's constant bullying has caused mental pain and anguish to multiple members of the Glee club, in particular causing Finn to have body image issues, which can lead to eating disorders (and check Finn's abrupt body change in season 4, even if it wasn't addressed in the plot). She uses the excuse of where she grew up, but everyone in the Glee Club has forgiven her and embraced her many times after she crossed the line.
      Finn's only experience with LGBTQ people is with Kurt, who has a fantastic dad, and they all worked to make the school a more welcoming place so Kurt could come back, so he figured all that was holding Santana back was herself. Finn's problem was being uninformed of the possible negative outcomes of the way he chose to try to get Santana together with Britney so she could be happy. However, I can guarantee that if Santana's parents had kicked her out, the Glee club would have invited her to live with one of them - just like they did with Quinn when she was pregnant.
      Before anyone says anything: I am the B in LGBTQ, and when my very religious father found out, he said "I wish I had killed you before you ever decided to be that way, because at least you would have died clean and innocent before God". And I was still a virgin at that time, I had just barely figured out I liked both some girls and some boys in the same way...

    • @yuri205ful
      @yuri205ful Год назад

      @Kayjee17 . Even if all worked out and santana got somewhere to live, do you know the mental and pain that being kicked out by your own family means? Do you know how it feels to lose your home just for being who you are. No one here is saying the bullying Santana does is right, but outing someone as revenge it's not right either. You say "everyone embraced when she crossed the line" just like there's is a bunch of excuses for fins misbehaving. When he called kurt a fagg**** when he treated blaine like shit, when he makes sam, not sing with kurt because that would be embarrassing for him. You acting like fin is some Saint, which he is not. And you also are acting like, lgbt issues don't have that much impact on people's life. Just like finn did, when he said "no ane cares" but people care, and people kill because of that. He has all the privileges to not know how this impacts people. They are both wrong, but you are minimizing how this affects santana and only siding with the white straight boy struggle.

    • @yuri205ful
      @yuri205ful Год назад +1

      @Kayjee17 and another thing: being kicked out it's not the only thing, that can happen to you, people are killed just for being gay, there's grups chasing and promoting attacks against lgbt people, there's public humiliation, there's the backlash from neighbors, family, society in general. So again, you are minimizing how cruel this is, and you also don't have the knowledge of how much lgbt people are murder or kil them self. Stop acting like this is "nothing." You said you're bi.
