This is one of the best performances of the show. I love Mercedes and Santana singing together. I was getting nervous that you wouldn't cut it off when you did because there are spoilers there lol. :)
The Glee club are always doing competitions among each other like girls versus boys, minorities versus whites, popular vs unpopular and so in order to practice or because they're auditioning or soemthing. This is just a showcase for themselves but sure there's some drama involved.
This was the treble tones the former vocal adrenaline coach Shelby (Rachel’s mom) made a group of just girl’s Mercedes Santana and Brittany joined because they got tired of not getting picked for solos and Finn called Brittany stupid or retarted I can’t remember exactly which one
I mean if you watched the show you would know that this group was called the treble tones when Santana Mercedes and Brittany decided to leave glee as they weren’t getting any solos and felt that Rachel always got the solos. They formed an all girl group, and because of Santana and Britt being cheerleaders, others joined because it wasn’t marketed as the “nerdy” glee club.
One of my favorite performances from the show, the songs work so well together as do Mercedes and Santana's voices of course.
