I usually just paint the caps too, but it always comes off when I'm unscrewing bottles. I'm gonna do this, looks like fun. No more a useless waste of money than buy GW's overpriced models.
Useless waste of money. I prime one side of paint caps themselves with grey, then drybrusg the upper primed part with white and then just paint them. Takes just a little time and because caps are ribbed - you get to see how speedpaint will look like on top of differently shaded parts.

I find I end up rubbing the paint off by wear when I do this
@@ducduckgo That's a good point, because with adding a cap I can easily avoid touching that and use the cap itself to open and close the bottle.
