  • This is the story of Alex Couto. Originating in New England, Alex embarked on his coaching journey at the collegiate level, later assuming the role of director at his community club. Now, he is shaping the future of football by nurturing the talents of the upcoming generation. But what led to Alex's remarkable success? At the youth level, Alex prioritizes player development, emphasizing not just technical skills but also the fun aspects of the game. He actively advocates for systemic reforms that could improve the foundation of American football. The soccer system is built based of income and talent, but what if we changed the pyramid for more player development. The MLS is on the rise as well as the 2026 world cup. Alex is on a mission to build soccer school across the nation and plans on educating the next generation of footballers!

Great interview full of really good tips for students looking to elevate their game! Love the focus on school/emphasis on considering community college. It always baffled me how weak and politicized our soccer programs were while I grew up, I’m sure Alex will make a change for the better.
