I own the first Halloween's THX DVD from 1999 (the single disc with the mask on the cover) and the first Anchor Bay/Starz! Blu-ray (which was based on the DiviMax DVD master from 2004). I have the Universal anamorphic DVD of Halloween II and the Anchor Bay anamorphic DVD of Halloween 4 - I had the Universal DVD of Season of the Witch but sold it for Scream Factory's 4K. I don't really like any of the entries from the original franchise beyond part five; I can just tolerate five. Oh, and I also have the Blu-ray of the 2018 Halloween. I don't usually keep any media I replace with better versions mainly due to shelf space. To me, the definitive version of Carpenter's original classic is the THX DVD just because it is the proper color timing. Edit: the "scarface" cover DVD of II is the disc I own - it's surprisingly still watchable, and I do so every year after watching the first on October 31.
My father bought that Halloween II DVD instead of the UK release with the exclusive commentary well over a decade ago. I miss going into Best Buy or FYE to pick up Scream releases.
Awesome video Planet CHH hope you're well and having a Awesome day my awesome friend . i love collecting Halloween and Michael Myers merchandise . Halloween has always been my favorite Horror Franchise and Donald Pleasence has always been my favorite Actor . I have more copies of all Halloween then a have room in house ( I have VHS / DVD /Blu-ray and 4k the only thing I don't have is laser Disc and beta tapes but I wish I did ) 😂 .
I had that laserdisc special edition. Really enjoyed the Siskel and Ebert segment and the music and effects track. So glad they added the TV director's cut. Now i have the 2 d.v.d Limited Edition special edition where you get the movie in both widescreen and full screen and you get the TV director's cut for the first time ever in widescreen.
Just the type of video I was looking for this month! You should see my collection lol my movies are all over the place on my shelf. I never put them in alphabetical order and now I have too many that now I’m too lazy to do it lmao.
I got the Halloween 35th anniversary standard case version and it came with a booklet of the things in the digabook version and when the 4ks came out I took out the booklet and put it in the 4K and sold the old blu ray haha
Solid video I believe I own 80-90 different copies of the franchise. Not many editions I don’t own. Mostly the newer 4K’s of 6-8 due ti scream factory screwing Canadian collectors.
I have a lot of these, but that criterion laserdisc is a grail of mine and I hope to have it someday..... That Scarface H2 DVD has been on my collection for years and DEFINITELY has some miles on it!
I have all the Scream Factory 4ks but I still bought the 15 disc box set that is oop and in like new condition complete with the book for 200 bucks which is close to what it cost when it came out so I didnt hesitate. My favorite Halloween movie is the 1981 Halloween 2 as it was the first Halloween I watched as a kid growing up the dark hospital and creative kills stuck with me. Only after Friday the 13th movies which are my favorite series do I enjoy collecting Halloween movie editions.
I still cherish my 15-disc box set. I was only interested in upgrading 1-4 to 4K, so the box set serves me well for the rest of the films.

I have a crush on the Jamie lloyd character. At 58 years old I shouldn’t. Wasn’t she 18 in the video playing a kid?
