@@simonkevnorris As Robbie mentioned in another interview, Elton helped him break his addiction and getting him cleaned up (as well as with other celebrities). So Elton is a cool cat regardless of what you think of his forehead.
They cut the bit at the end where Robbie turns to Elton and asks him, “did you ever smuggle Leo Sayer out of your flat in a hold-all?” Couldn’t stop laughing at that. Elton’s face went pale 😂
The KFC part of that story had me in stitches!

I love Robbie, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, the Manics. Just all part of the best part of music in my lifetime. The bickers, fights, talent and music was fkn amazing. Loved the 90's almost as much as the 80's
In the UK, Robbie Williams could wear a mask and get recognized. In the US, he could wear a sign that says "I am Robbie Williams." and barely anyone would know who he is.

Robbie is great singer, even greater performer but he's a funny guy & he knows how to make people laugh. Love you Robbie, my angel.
Robbies an awful singer but thats the point. He is the first to admit it but hes such a charismatic entertainer and solo act he made it without ever being able to sing

Yeah, that's the point. Robbie didnt ask for a lecture he asked what his rights were. The copper was out of line to say that. People deserve privacy in their own home whether they're famous or not.

Same, but the way I remember her telling it was different to this, there were a few friends over and it was Jonathan Wilkes or another friend who carried her out in the bag and put her in the car with everyone else, not in the boot, so someone is embellishing or I'm remembering it differently.
I’m trying to find the interview of her talking about it but i can’t find it 😩
@@MisterChirp Robbie is known for embellishing. They put her in the car after carrying her out, and that was it. He's lying about keeping her trapped inside the bag while eating KFC.

Today I learned what a holdall is.
(It's British for a gym bag or a carryall).
I bet there's pap shots of him leaving the flat with that holdall somewhere online because they'll print any shot they can get. I'm not even a Geri fan but I can remember just how tiny she became when she went on an extreme diet & hit the yoga really hard. It was just after her band broke up & she really wasn't in a good place. The only reason I remember the photos was because they were actually alarming I was shocked by her sudden transformation because she looked like a totally different person, one who was very unwell. To fit her in a holdall & take her out to his car she'd have had to of been pretty small, that's what made me think of those pictures. It all probably happened around the same time.
You are correct. That was actually the time her and Robbie were dating, so it all makes sense. She's also only 5ft 1.

@@SK22520 Yeah, just re-watched and I'm not sure what I was thinking, I could clearly see her laughing this time round. Maybe she is just more reserved so I wasn't picking up on it when I watched the first time, but I have seen a few interviews with her since watching this, and she is a real classy lady, I find her quite charming.
