@@dalepointer9414 THANKYOU DALE, VERY VERY GOOD AS EVER. Thought I'd try a David Lynch song and I've been fascinated with this short film for a while now. Lynch was actually inspired by this movie when he made MulhollandDrive and if you look, there are a few scenes, where you can see he has been influenced. 😁😁
@@dalepointer9414 Hi Dale, no I've never seen it, and I didn't know about it, but I have now watched that clip about the tortoise and I love it, the way he delivers that speech about the tortoise, so touching and emotive and correct in his description of it, and it's existence.. thankyou so much for sharing it. 😊😊 I gather you have watched this? I really had never heard about it.
@@claudinedemantet I'm a Harry Dean Stanton fan. This was his last movie. He and Lynch were good friends. Harry was in his 90s, drank, smoked and womanized. A gifted musician. It is a study of a man reaching the end of his life and looking back. He's like the tortoise, living a long time, with little friends. He too in his small house. Not much happened in his 90 plus years but that is life. Lady M lived a short extraordinary life, lightening the screen. She made people happy. Harry did too. He liked her style. Not your average movie. Imagine Lynch and Harry drinking in the desert. The stories
@@dalepointer9414Oh how I'd have loved to have heard their stories whilst smoking and drinking in the desert, I bet there were some fascinating conversations. I didn't know much about Harry Dean Stanton, or the fact of him appreciating Marilyn, i only know that he was a great actor and I loved him in Paris, Texas, some great scenes. Thanks Dale, you're always full of knowledge I love to hear. ruclips.net/video/dCisln-xLLo/видео.htmlsi=V1XSB7XtNv9EZJam I love this scene and I love Ry Cooder's music in this movie. I am thinking that you too would appreciate this movie, I hope I am right. 😊

Did you see him in LUCKY. His monologue on tortoises is prime. Watch the movie. Old and insightful.
