Things that make a good camp location. No all camp can claim all of these, but some have a couple. 1. Resource node. Especially the 5 or so locations where 2 resource nodes are available. (Locations #1, #4, #7, #8 are examples). 2. Railroad station. Whitespring has tradition and inertia, but Pleasant Valley and Morgantown are fun too. (Locations #2, #5 are examples) 3. Free fast travel point. Whitespring has one reasonably close. Rusty Pick, Vault 76 are two other good choices. These are good for vendors as well. 4. Interesting structure to build around. (Location #3, #10 are examples) 5. Useful vegetation or resource nearby, especially cranberries or brain fungus, or loads of Super Mutants to kill. (Locations #9, #10) Having one camp location that uses blueprints to slap down ammo boxes and the punch machine quickly is very useful. Having one camp that has no vendor stations is also useful to allow you to switch camps to turn off vending when your caps count is high.
@@MrWestTek Hey there. I’m on ps4 and I was wondering if you had any plans/ outfits you might want to get rid of. I have caps to spend and some items to trade. I’ve been looking for the camo backpack, neon diner clock, and of course the forest camo jumper. If you or any of your friends are on ps4 and can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it! Also for the forest camo, even just some good advice for grinding it would be awesome. Thanks and have great day.
My faves are.. 1)right outside the rusty pick. This is perfect for vendor sales as people visit regularly. 2) outside of westek. Anytime someone spawns in it respawns the outer super mutants which is a great steel /legendary farm right on your doorstep. 3) twin lakes. Perfect for bases that are meant to look visually impressive. Got a base for everything 😁👍
My favorite spot is the waterfall just east of the crashed plane in the Mire (learned about it from a T0nik video). About halfway down the falls is where I built my log cabin. Super tranquil spot.
As a resident of Kanawha County, WV in real life, let me tell you how to pronounce it. It's pronounced can-AWW with the emphasis on the AWW. I know it doesn't look as though it should be pronounced that way, but it is. No worries though! Nobody knows how to pronounce it if you aren't from here. 😃
Same about my town bro, I used to work a very busy spot that tourists just love for some reason and I can't tell how many times I've heard "where are we at? ... How'd you say that again?" "What's the name of this town" meanwhile they're reading the name, just can't pronounce it
Nice I have my factory camp at the same lead spot as the first one you showed. I have had that camp there almost a year now. It is a very quiet there and the B.O.S that hang out to one side normally do take care of anything that pops up. Sometimes a Liberator might make it through here and there but otherwise it's a pleasant spot.
Hi, im new to the game, and im your new subscriber, been enjoy watching your video. Just wondering, i saw some of your workbench are clipping through other object like at 10:08 . How to do it? looks nice
i do like to grow and mine as well i definetely love to have the green thumb perk definetely and one for mining extractions for all kinds of ores and acid that's new im fascinated by that.
Great video um your camp in the first part is amazing I'm not going to lie... going to copy that lol only put it in the mire. Would love to see more of the porch though. It looks so cohesive the way its laid out ❤love it
@@MrWestTek I've been trying to do the foundation. I'm trying the blueprint so it flips inward towards the house but the one in front won't flip in. I had to take a break camp building is hard work lol
@@MrWestTekcan you link the video to your tutoiral on bulding the first house with the lead extractor and the hunters lodge from the old scoreboard? Would really appreciate it
The best location hands down is the second mentioning, Whitespring Train Station. Having infinite caps to spend is far more valuable than a few resource extractors or a good view. You will gear up quicker by buying overpriced items, plans, and recipes from others than grinding for them yourself. Not to mention giving away caps and gear will also make you a lot of friends.
I have only one main base and bunch of utility camps. First one is just outside of West Tek to replenish buffs when I farm xp. Second one is close to SBQ spawn point and it's filled with cryo turrets to freeze that damn bat. The last one was in the swamp when I farmed shielded casual underarmor plan, but I don't use it anymore.
Not even sure how you got the location you did for pleasant valley location. I thought it was a good place for a second camp but I got two big ass trees hindering me from building there. Is the landscape in a sense RNG?
Hi again, you still rock btw lol.. I'm wondering , I just started playing this year & other than the palm tree that lights up (atom shop)I can't find any plans for plants or greenery. Does anyone know where I can find them? I've also been looking at videos for tricks & merging but no one says where any of these plants are. :( Thanks again for all the info, you really are one of the best my friend :)

I'm not sure what you mean. You can put your camp near mineral deposits in the wasteland and have them at your camp. If they are not in the vicinity of the camp you won't be able to put in an extractor. Hope this helps!
My camp is kinda trash... I been in the dried lake by the old ship. Super mutants next door n scorched on the docks. But they rarely wander over. I really like that last place u showed

I don't think in my 1000+ hours in this game have I ever placed a camp near a resource node and used it.
I loved this. Often wanted to see a tour of your camps! Great spots! Thanks for the video!

Like MANY UK place names whose pronunciation bears no relation to their spelling lol.
Is it a First Nations name for the area?

Trish is right, that is how you pronounce it. I've lived in that country my entire life
I'd probably piss everyone off in kanawha within minutes because I'd pronounce it how it's spelt 😂.

I am trying to have a camp in each region and that Mire one is 🔥. Never seen anyone have a camp there either.

Wouldn’t it be cool if Fallout 76 had a fireman’s pole you could slide down to get to the bottom of tall sets of stairs.
What gun are you using
It looks amazing

Best farming locations for brain bomb ingredients?
Hit up big bend tunnel for brain fungus. Them passages in the walls in there got hella fungus, especially with the perk card that gives you double

How come you have so much in your camps if there a way to expand the build limit?
Best way is to pay attention to what takes up space. Turrets and mannequins especially take up a lot of the budget.

Lead deposit - for none energy weapons users, if you using energy weapons - go for copper deposit, copper is harder to get.
What rifle are you using?
Handmade most likely. Screaming eagle skin.

I personally use the lead deposit behind fort defiance.
