Thank you! I may be commenting on old videos. I am collecting info to print out for my mother to try to undo some of the damage she has done in her refusal to listen to me. Her doctors always tell her I am wrong and that she should listen to them. But she steady grows sicker and sicker. Her legs are so swollen they are oozing! Back and forth to doctors and hospitals constantly!

I saw my mother suffer from debilitating edema which in turn exacerbated her other conditions. I have no doubt she was trapped in a vicious cycle due in part to the cocktail of medications she was prescribed which most likely caused her edema. If only she were still here to get this information.

Same here, my poor mother went through so much swelling and infections with the drugs she was taking for her rheumatoid arthritis over 3 decades, the medication helped her but also caused damage to other organs. They should have given her a liver transplant as methotrexate damaged her liver.

It happened to my mom, she was having difficult breathing from heart failure...was intubated in 10 different medications and nothing resolved and she passed away after 2 days in hospital. A excellent video of 11 different medications that could cause swelling in your feet ankles or legs a lot of diabetics usually gets swelling if they take too much insulin a whole trick is to eat less carbs healthy foods that don't raise your blood sugar and yet some diabetics have perfect sugar levels like for instance $130 even as low as 65 if the in the meal and they still get swelling in their legs and ankles compression socks help too they're very uncomfortable after a while and sometimes they make your feet swell up even more so the whole trick is you actually have to be your own doctor and experiment and do things just eat healthy vitamin b1 is known to get the swelling out of your legs and feet so try that also I give this video five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯👍❤️

I took 10mg Amlodipine for 10 years. I got tired of dealing with edema, and requested to be removed from the medication earlier this year. When I first got diagnosed with hypertension, I managed the edema with diet and exercise. As I got older, I found it to be more difficult to manage. It forced me to stay away from cured meats, and foods loaded with sodium. While I was grateful that the medication was helping me shift my dieting choices, the edema made it impossible to wear nice shoes. It's so nice to see the bones in my feet and hands now.

Oh my, I was on Trazadone for years and suddenly I have Cellulitis, Lymphedema Phase 2 and Venous Stasis. I have had nurses here daily for six weeks cleaning and gauzing my ulcers on both legs, then when they stopped leaking out fluids, they did an ultrasound pulse/nerve testing on both of my legs and now the wrapping happens every four days to keep my circulation going and swelling down. This all makes sense to me now. I had many Doctors tell me I had this cause of me drinking too much filtered water- any sort of water(160 ozs. daily). Thank you for this video. Could you discuss the relationship between inflammation & edema/lymphedema? Also could you do a video on lymphedema, not just related to cancer, but lymphedema without cancer. It took me years to get a correct diagnosis of lymphedema. It seems that doctors only look at lymphedema as occurring with cancer, specifically breast cancer. While I went undiagnosed my lymphedema went from stage 1 to stage 3. Now that I am diagnosed it is still very difficult to get the proper treatment. My insurance company covers compression garments, but that is all they cover & there is still a huge co-pay of about $800.

Omg my Lyrica experience was ABSOLUTELY horrible!! Smh, it was so awful and JUST the first evening dose and not just ankles swollen, my tongue and esophagus and it was really bad. I could not taste anything but NASTY metallic taste and it threw off my sense of smell.
Idk if they have anything on common, for ME Buspar (the next prescription and I could NOT WALK, AT ALL FOR HOURS & it inflamed my joints and I am SO grateful to be settled on gabapenten for seizures and I still get them whenever under duress - no longer several times a week not to mention the very crazy side effects of different antconvulsants and cluster migraine meds.
I can not seem to impress upon my doctors that MY baseline no(edited correct typo: blood pressure not'no') is supposed to be low enough normal ppl pass out. Normal IS HIGH for me and the low high and I feel like I'm going to actually drop from a stroke.
I really don't understand WHY they ask just to ignore my assertions and not even bothering to look at my history, just a click on that open page on screen.
Instead of blowing me off, and leaving me to feel like my brain is about to explode, every time the barometric pressure drops.
Wouldn't a little time in a hyperbaric chamber relieve that pressure?

The less medications you take the better off you are. I used to take atenolol (caused my heart to beat very slow) my feet froze and I had to cut it back. I also took hydrochlorothiazide and ibuprofen. Both of those damaged my kidneys to stage 2 almost stage 3... but I’m careful now. I’m trying to baby my kidneys. I realized the damage only after I started taking Synthroid and my ankles swelled so bad they hurt. So I’ve slowly come off that medication and I’m taking NAC and milk thistle for liver.. Also babying my kidneys with renofood and dandelion plus potassium, lemon water and apple cider vinegar. I’m off synthroid and my temperature stays around 98.5 (yay) with absolutely zero cold feet and hands. My fingernails and hair are much better too.

Thank you. My CRNP just recommended that I discontinue Actos, so we’ve started that. It’s good of you to give us advice for discussions with our health providers. I “stressed” myself off KETO diet during the home isolation, but I think I must get back on it. I feel better when I eat better food. Thanks again...wish I could have you as my doctor!

Please DO NOT take Actos that stuff is deadly , was on it myself , gained 30lbs and then read up on it , it's nasty , there are many other Diabetic Meds than are better , just give them a try I won't recommend any because theyre pretty much trial and error and what is good for me might not be good for you , but Actos is good for no one, take care.

I started take low doses of Clonidine about 6 months ago. Recently my legs have been swelling and my socks are putting indentations in my legs. I suspected the swelling might be from one of the medications I've been taking for high blood pressure. I just saw this video and guess what? Clonidine is number two on the list. I'm going to ask my doctor to reduce my intake to zero and see what happens.

Amlodipine: I quit taking it and my doctor switched me to hydrochlorothiazide. My edema was getting worse and worst of all was the Peripheral Neuropathy. My feet hurt with the muscles constantly cramping especially at night. Diclofenac put me in the ER twice before I on my own concluded it was causing my respiratory distress and hives, especially in my lungs. The Peripheral Neuropathy led me to wonder what damage was being done to the nerves in my brain, spine, and heart. Thank you for the information as I believe it is saving my life.

Recently it became severe with lot of discomfort. I have stopped Amlodipine and took Spiromide for 3 days. It gradually subsided. Thanks God i am feeling better with Valsartan only with bit increased dose.

Hello and thank you for the important information, my father has a problem with pulmonary edema, and we can't find the cause, we think it may be from different medications he receives, do you know of any medications that may cause this phenomenon?
Can Pryzoline and or thyroid medication Euthrox cause water to build up in the lungs?

I have a question. Reading of all the list of medications that can cause edema, I have two which I take. One is Astorvastin and Diclofenac. I have been on both for a number of years. I was prescribed Astorvastin after I had a stent put in my heart back in 2008. According to the cardiologist, I have to take this drug. Diclofenac was prescribed to me about 3 or 4 years ago. If this causes edema, what can be substituted as a generic replacement? What about a few drugs that you listed that I have taken a number of years ago but not now? Could past drugs of that type caused edema still be counted?

My late husband was on predisnone for nearly ten years and it made his face and stomach swell up really bad. He was taking it for Emphysema of the lungs. Didn't help him one bit. His swollen stomach caused his breathing to get worse. The chemist who filled his prescription out just shook his head and said to me that this predisnone is poison and does terrible things to the body. After what happened to my husband I can believe it. It can also cause cancer and that's what he died in of. Look it up on internet about class sue jobs re predisnone.

I am terrible at remembering to take medication. I’m very new on carnivore, but I have already noticed that accidentally skipping my chlorthalidone hasn’t resulted in the typical reswelling of my ankles and feet (d/t ideopathic edema, despite the salt I’m consuming). Yay!
I also have recently woke up without sore joints throughout my feet that make me walk like I’m 98.
I didn’t realize it initially-it took me a minute to realize what was different, but it was amazing to not have to work through the pain to get “right” enough to walk normally. I’ve also had noticeably less back pain and stiffness. (I won’t describe how I realized that one. 😂)
If this is how things will progress, I will be a faithful carnivore for life!
    Edit: I’m also down about 7 pounds…so I couldn’t be happier.

@@ALPHAJACK78 I don’t know exactly what to tell you, but I’m just having less pain and stiffness since beginning this way of eating.
It’s fairly amazing, because I assumed that would just get progressively worse for a few reasons, mostly autoimmune, and I’m just extremely happy that things are improving so quickly.
I guess the real test is to watch these great results last!!

For years i was in chronic backpain and was on up to 8 painkillers a day and it seemed the more i took, the worse the pain got so, oneday when i was about to take my first 2 of the day i looked at the bottle and wondered what would happen if i only took the 1st two and no more that day - well, to my surprise, the pain went away but, i thought this was only a fluke and decided, without telling my Dr., to keepp doing this and it worked. I went back to see her and told her what i was doing and i asked her why didn`t she tell other patients the same and her reply was people expect us to dish them out as sweets and that`s what they do.
My worry now is that i`m now on beta blockers and a heart tab called Lixiana and wondered if i`d get away with stopping them too. I`ve been breathless since i took the beta blockers, would that go away if i stopped them as its stated on the pack that breathlessness is a side effect. What about the heart tab if i stopped them too ?
Any help would be appreciated if others stopped them too.
