@@octaviaperfect6156 It's literally slower. If someone were to perfectly memorize all of DS' and all of ER's attack timings, they'd say ER's is overall slower, because there's more time to react from the start of the animation to when it hits. That's slower. All delayed attacks do is catch you off-guard a few times, but by then there's no reason to wise up to it and have an easier time because the attacks are slower, more obviously choreographed and easier to react to. It's not the game's fault if your brain is hard-wired to go at one speed and never change.
He did a few streams of a magic build 2nd playthrough after he beat DS3 the first time. I really hope he does something similar too. He will absolutely miss content in this game and he can do things in a totally different order to keep it fresh. The game has such an insanely high replability value.
I am just angry at seeing him just spamming magic attack to enemies that I had a hard time learning their movements and attack, when to parry/dodge, dying ñike 5-7 times until finally learn how to easily kill them. Then seeing jerma just killing those same enemies with magic from 6 meters away. Got me a bit angry lol
Jerma unbinding crouch from the controller is a direct call-back to Sekiro, in which he _also_ unbound his crouch button because he can't stop death-gripping his controller at all times with his uncontrollable muscle-spasms, like a geriatric lunatic. His crouch problems are absolutely a _him_ problem, not a game problem. People with normal hands and normal motor skills don't have this problem. It's just him.
I had the same problem but I just switched Crouch with Shield and then mapped left stick to the little button on bottom of the controller. Since it's not a toggle but a hold, accidentally clicking the stick for half a second will never really throw you off, it at worst gives a free shield.
it is insane that despite being way underlevelled and having a barely upgraded weapon he still forces himself to smash his head into a brick wall instead of exploring elsewhere.
He’s not even underleveled he just never levels vigor so everything one shots him. It’s insane that he’s apparently a souls veteran yet took literally dozens of hours to get his hp up

It’s hilarious how instantly jerma went insane when someone gave him the totally unreasonable advice to not squeeze and potentially break his controller
At around 4:30:00 Jerma walks mere feet away from Sorcerer Rogier, the person he is looking for MULTIPLE TIMES and it is hurting my soul Edit: he found him, I can rest now.
46:57 "were gonna cheese him" Proceeds to not attempt to backstab on his loop route, gets his ass handed to him, doesnt bother meleeing, Dies in the worst possible place to recover from. I audibly screamed "HOW?" at my monitor.
Jerma's utter refusal to recognize his own patterns of failure is both entertaining and infuriating. He will get hit by the same attack every time because he uses the same, incorrect way to dodge it, never tries anything different, and then complains about it. Marvelous.
I'm way late to this, but it gets way more impressive, and in my opinion way funnier, when you realize he spent hours on godrick with a 5% health debuff from Fia; I didn't even notice until afterwards seeing he had the item looking through his inventory. Curious to see how long before someone tells him, and if he ever realizes how much he did at the disadvantage :)
Those dungeons can be devious, though! Even the one at the end of this stream has so many different little pathways and secrets - let alone something like those catacombs at the Mountaintop of the Giants, the layout of which bends space and time. Plus there are some late-game dungeons with fun little puzzles. Obviously, the legacy dungeons are the best part of the game. But I totally understand why the lesser dungeons are compelling.
No one telling jerma that when he does his windy attack, he could just run close after the AOE and avoid the homing missiles all together is a testimate to the sadistic nature of his viewers
What is it with all the people tunnel visioning and going for Margit/Godrick before exploring this games enormous world, there is like 20+ way easier bosses in the open world that Jerma could have been doing, but instead he chooses to bang his head against a wall for an hour lol, although to be fair to him he did break that wall
its really fuckin easy to say "why didnt he just do this" when you know everything in the game, and he doesn't. He's progressing fine, he's done some exploration. You're nitpicking like 15 hours of gameplay. He did it for the challenge, as he said many times in the video, when he knows he could go do other stuff. Maybe people go to the first critical boss because the game literally tells you "FOLLOW THIS BIG LIGHT DUMBO" 🥴
@@iDraxxi nobody knows everything in the game because it just came out. what is this blindly defending your favourite streamer? Y'all overthinking it. This is just what happens in soulsborne games, you slip into that mind set of 'Just one more try' because for one you get invested in overcoming the difficulty, and two the sunk cost sinks in, amd coming away from the boss feels like a waste. All delayed attacks do is catch you off-guard a few times, but by then there's no reason to wise up to it and have an easier time because the attacks are slower, more obviously choreographed and easier to react to. It's not the game's fault if your brain is hard-wired to go at one speed and never change.
Jerma is the only streamer I think is entertaining enough to actually sit down and watch an 8 hour VOD of
7:02:35 is such a quintessential Jerma moment
like wathcing someone prepare for a marathon and then eat shit on the first step
I like the idea that jerma and his boys are just a bunch of thieves running around the lands between
thats my headcannon
49:38 Jerma is one of the only people I've seen that has noticed Gostoc stealing their runes when they die.
This comment taught me this was the case…I don’t think I ever noticed
When Jeremy finished his first play through, I would absolutely watch another with a different build.

Gotta love how he keeps leaning back in his chair while dodging.
He is blessed with 'Hands 2' the sequel to hands
It happens with every souls game there's always something with the control scheme he can't handle lol
Pretty much lol, I have never accidentally crouched
Everyone knows this he's a PSYCHO
I had the same problem but I just switched Crouch with Shield and then mapped left stick to the little button on bottom of the controller. Since it's not a toggle but a hold, accidentally clicking the stick for half a second will never really throw you off, it at worst gives a free shield.

Jerma either literally can’t read or he has truly mastered the art of throwing a joke at us when I’m not ready
Fell asleep watching this stream and woke up to jerma going insane at Godrick, it was certainly an expierence
it is insane that despite being way underlevelled and having a barely upgraded weapon he still forces himself to smash his head into a brick wall instead of exploring elsewhere.
He’s not even underleveled he just never levels vigor so everything one shots him. It’s insane that he’s apparently a souls veteran yet took literally dozens of hours to get his hp up
This is one of those DS1 fanatics that took 600 hours to discover the jump attack.
Jerma complaining about the sword being a "thrust weapon" while doing way better with it than any previous weapon is fucking hilarious
Jerma is the guy to use ranged magic reliably against enemies then for some reason go into melee and try to use melee spells that take 15 minutes to charge up
godrick’s mid-fight cutscene where he’s screaming is just jerma
I love hearing his excuse each time he dies to Godrick
Every time he summons I get an inescapable urge to like and subscribe.

Jerma agreeing that Godrick is a two pump chump: 2:13:54
his willingness to sell off a unique boss weapon for the amount of runes you get for killing like 3 basic goons breaks my brain
godrick stuff is bad though and doesnt fit what he's going for, 20k souls is also nothing to scoff at.
@@IzDube He's talking about the axe he got from the tree sentinal. He sold it for 100 runes.

Ah yes, the jerma special build
That was literally day one and jerma was playing without any knowledge of even how big the in game world is. You do a day one build in a game you don't know anything about apart from the most basic mechanics, and we'll see how good is it lmao
@@anderoo9260 Plenty of people can and do come up with better day 1 builds lol, it's called paying attention to the stats instead of chat...
But no one really cares, it's just a funny observation. "look how hard the streamer is making things on themselves, what a silly guy". Relax.
Glintstone pebble was the most efficient spell in the game for a while though. It was better to spam pebble than it was to use comet until they rebalanced the spells.
boss health bar 0, bar disappears, boss explodes with boss death animation and disappears: "did i beat him!?!?!?!?" love jerma
whenever i'm listening a jerma vod on youtube and an ad comes on i always think he's playing some joke
It’s hilarious how instantly jerma went insane when someone gave him the totally unreasonable advice to not squeeze and potentially break his controller
At around 4:30:00 Jerma walks mere feet away from Sorcerer Rogier, the person he is looking for MULTIPLE TIMES and it is hurting my soul
Edit: he found him, I can rest now.
46:57 "were gonna cheese him"
Proceeds to not attempt to backstab on his loop route, gets his ass handed to him, doesnt bother meleeing, Dies in the worst possible place to recover from.
I audibly screamed "HOW?" at my monitor.
Jerma's utter refusal to recognize his own patterns of failure is both entertaining and infuriating. He will get hit by the same attack every time because he uses the same, incorrect way to dodge it, never tries anything different, and then complains about it. Marvelous.
that's the only way to play the game
That double whammy of losing 20K runes and then right after finding the guy you were holding onto the runes for.
I can’t unsee jerma trying to dodge everything now😂
watching this in 2x speed is twice as entertaining
Or twice as nerve wracking
4:37:07 FINALLY a streamer feels pain for not getting their runes... I swear none of them even realize getting them back is a mechanic
4:38:40 almost cried when he finally realized that he ran past the sorceror like 4 times
These Elden Ring streams have been my one true source of dopamine.
I'm new to his channel, wanted to watch someone who is not a tryhard no summons guy and he seems pretty chill and I really like his humor.
Subbed.
I am legitimately proud of Jerma for that Godrick fight
After a certain point it felt like watching a DS1 broken sword run.
@@acekabogen him playing so passive with the hookclaws and then magically expecting bleed to proc is so funny to meq
WERE YOU HERE? WERE YOU IN THE RUM? WERE YOU IN THE FUCKING RUM?
I wonder how long it will take him to realize that he has an hp debuff from hugging the girl
5:34:50 It's hilarious that Jerma's favorite part of Elden Ring are the copy-pasted dungeons with 8-9 hit bosses at the end.
Watching Jeremy unbind crouch makes me feel physically ill not gonna lie
cant believe he almost said two pump chump
Jerma makes goldfish look like they have photographic memory in comparison
terrible memory but has a perfectly photographed map of his rune count at all times. someone needs to study his brain
Him walking past the map stele in Calid made me scream
I've never seen someone struggle so much with Godrick. He's an incredible actor, to stay in role for so long.
No one telling jerma that when he does his windy attack, he could just run close after the AOE and avoid the homing missiles all together is a testimate to the sadistic nature of his viewers
24:50 - favorite sonic character
29:26 - absolutely baffled
1:12:34 - drape jumpscare
1:14:16 - what even is this
I wonder when he'll realize he has to level up his health first before focusing on damage or endurance
He has such a tiny stump of health and he even took the "More Max Health" Talisman, so he technically has even less o.o
@@TheZWolf it gives 6%...
No he doesn't you casul
He did extremely well given the circumstances but youre admitting that people largely do what theyre told in games and then complain about it.
its really fuckin easy to drop your fuckin ego and stop trying to persevere through unnecessary difficulty just because you might think if you leave the youre "not good enough"
Y'all overthinking it. This is just what happens in soulsborne games, you slip into that mind set of 'Just one more try' because for one you get invested in overcoming the difficulty, and two the sunk cost sinks in, amd coming away from the boss feels like a waste. Feels easier to persist and struggle than pull back amd restart.
@@iDraxxi the game also teaches you that it’s ok to explore and try again later by putting a horse boss outside spawn before even getting a horse urself

amazing timing of the new area name popping up
