I've read the Bible in 6 months 12x. It takes 30-45 minutes per day. It's not difficult. You just have to be dedicated.
I did the 90 day Bible challenge, and reading forty five minutes a day, I was able to read through the Bible in four months.
Has the bible changed your life?
My Bible reading plan is very simple. Start at Genesis 1:1 and keep going until I finish Revelation 22.
It's worked for me. Bible reading plans serve a great purpose. You never have to stress over where to start. There is something to learn throughout the Bible, and if you are a morning reader, having a starting point sure helps. God bless all. Peace

S.O.A.P.S. stands for:
Scripture: Write out one or more verses that are particularly meaningful today.
Observation: Rewrite those verses or critical points in your own words to better understand.
Application: Think about what it means to obey these commands in your own life.
Prayer: Write a prayer telling God what you’ve learned and how you plan to obey.
Sharing: Ask God who He wants you to share what you’ve learned/applied.

I’m reading through the Bible with the Bible app you version ! I love it.
I read the Bible through every year, Genesis to Revelation, and I like too. I enjoy it and it works for me. There are six translations that I rotate: KJV, NKJV, NIV, ESV, NLT and I just added the CSB.
Do you read a whole version in order to move to another or do you interchange them?
I think GNT/GNBDK is better than NIV/NLT

God gave me the time (sailer so much of free time) to read the Bible twice last year.

I suggest to read different passages, because if you are reading cronicles for a week... it is pretty boring so to say.

I read the Scriptures in four versions.
I hv difficulty with King James Version but I do enjoy the poetic cadence of the King's English...

understanding the bible is more important than reading it. Most people aren’t comprehending by reading through in 72 hours….theres literally no purpose.
I believe he was using that as an example of how easy it is to do not as an example of what you should do.

The problem when he says God gave us the Bible in an order is that he is referring to the American order of the Bible not how the Hebrews originally read it which is the correct order.
Are you a Hebrew who knows the correct order in which to read it? Will you share that with me?
Just as an FYI that’s only for the Old Testament, and you can easily find it online just search Hebrew Bible vs Old Testament book order and read the Bible you have in that Hebrew Bible order.
Rest assured it’s not some closely guarded secret 😁, Jesus himself mentioned it, most just don’t care. Both ways of the OT are profitable though. Be blessed sis.

Without Bible you can never understand how God is, what He likes and what He dislikes.
One precaution though if I could put it in old and in bigger font size :
During menstruation never touch Bible, and if husband or children will be reading Bible do not touch them before the read bible. Be usse after you touch them and they touch the Bible becomes a sin even if you may disbelieve will not change the truth., if you ate pork do not read bible.
As an atheist, I _definitely_ encourage reading the Bible! And yes, start at the beginning and read it through. Don't just read the pleasant bits picked out for you by some pastor.
There would be a lot more atheists if Christians would just _read the Bible._
Bill Garthright well if somebody goes into a healthy church, they will most likely receive expositions preaching which examines ALL of scripture including the difficult parts.

Plenty of people read the word of God completely and are saved. Why do they reach a different conclusion than you do?
In any case, I useto be an atheist myself. By the Grace of God, I am not. I wanted only my subjective truth rather than examining all objective truth.
If you examined all the truth you would notice that God has no reason to even keep you alive because of all your wretched behavior. But you won’t even confess that because you are righteous and wise in your own eyes.
If you’ve truly read the full bible then you should be remembering a few scriptures I’m mentioning without quoting them.
Regardless, I hope that you repent for your sins against the sovereign God of the universe just like I have. Put aside the pride. Deal honestly with the word. Not just looking at the difficult scriptures but ALL of it.

Uh, huh. Right. You mean preachers will attempt to excuse the craziest parts of the Bible? It was my experience that they just ignored those parts, but trying to rationalize away slavery, genocide, and blood sacrifices - to say nothing of the treatment of women in the Bible - is even worse.

I'm an atheist because I see no reason to think that a god exists, let alone a personal god, let alone a _particular_ personal god. Do you have any evidence that your god exists? But I'll bite. What evidence convinced _you_ that -a god- this particular god exists? If you really _were_ an atheist, there must be some evidence that changed your mind, right? Well, that's all I want, just _evidence._
And I'm curious. Like the vast majority of religious people, did you just so happen to decide that it was the specific god you'd been taught to believe as a baby? Funny how that works, isn't it? Worldwide, religious people _overwhelmingly_ believe in whatever god and whatever religion they happen to have been taught as children. (There are converts - in every direction - but they're relatively rare.)

Again, how - exactly _how_ - did that work? Blood magic? Any god, let alone an all-powerful god, could have forgiven people for anything he wanted at any time he wanted. Who was going to stop him, after all?
And punishing someone else for something _you_ did doesn't take away your guilt, anyway. Indeed, if you accept that kind of thing, I'd say it makes you even _more_ guilty. I would not allow someone else to be punished for something _I_ did, but I guess I'm more moral than most Christians, huh?
Well, it's a good thing this is just imaginary, huh? At least, that we have zero reason to think otherwise? Or do you actually have evidence that this fairy tale is really true? Again, I'm looking for *one piece of good evidence.*
Without that, why should I believe you? Why wouldn't I believe Muslims, Hindus, Wiccans, Mormons, Raelians, Scientologists, or members of one of the other religions, all of whom make unsupported claims just like Christians do? Why should I believe _any_ of you, unless you've got even *one piece of good evidence* that your claims are actually true?
If you really _were_ an atheist - if that wasn't just a lie - you should understand this. Evidence is how we distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking. Well, where's your _evidence?_
