@@TheShonuff888 thanks for the comment 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I might twist up the string next time I test the distance but tbh, I think they're pretty powerful as it is so I haven't wanted more power just yet 😉
@@TheAArmstrong It's so normal where I live for people to have their own fields I hadn't considered perhaps people in cities do not have access to space to shoot. Is there not a local archery club where you could target shoot with crossbows or perhaps a farmer with a field?
@@TheAArmstrong really, I've never asked my local club but upon reflection I suspect they may have the same opinion, shame really as its a great alternative to target shooting.
@TheAArmstrong I've posted this video onto an archery page on reddit and an American archery club coach seemed rather unhappy about the crosspost. I suspect purist archers are very anti crossbow unfortunately.
That's pretty good for the distance, especially for such small and light bolts. I have the 190 lb limbs, but I haven't tried that far yet. I even twisted the string 16 times to make it around 220 lb. I'm using a 3x prism scope, and a green laser. Anyway, that crossbow hasn't been designed for such distances. It's a tactical crossbow, and I bought it for home defense. A gun is ridiculously complicated to own where I live in Canada. And technically, I'm not allowed to use it as self protection. But hey, if I ever need to defend my family, f*ck 'em!
@@SciD1 thanks for the comment🙏🏻 I haven't ever twisted the strings but I am keen in the future, maybe in Spring when there is less wind to twist the string on the 180lb limb and take her out to 50 yards with 15" bolts hopefully. I appreciate it isn't designed for distance but it's still quite fun to shoot long distance as well as close!! Certainly a good option for home defense I'd assume!!
I noticed the string on the bow, if you twist it around 8 times, you’ll get more power

Wish I had access to such a large area. Have my tiny back garden, hence a 50lb stinger is all I have.

@ Nah mate am in Leeds. The local archery club is anti crossbow to the max.

@ They’re notorious in their hatred for crossbows. Asked around all of the local ones. Always a no.
