Thank you for mentioning Local King. I hear being a small business along with the pandemic, she was unable to do a proper launch of her product. Always love your creations. Thanks Simon.
If it weren't for you, I probably wouldn't know what's out there! And even if I knew, I probably wouldn't know what to do with it! Thanks for taking the time to explore. Love learning watching you. My wish list has far outrun my pocketbooks ability to keep up!
I agree 1000%! I had no idea how the several layer stencils were used and what for! Plus, I am a perfectionist so the Altenew mini sponges will be a game changer for me!! Thanks for doing these demo videos of new products and projects. The lemon card with the background stencil is so unique! I would have never come up with it! You are so talented! Nancy in Colorado
Thank you so much for the honest evaluation of the wreath building mechanism. I remember when stenciling first came out for the public to use on more projects other than wall stenciling ( sorry showing my advanced age here). Pouncing was the only way that you were taught to use them. Now it's coming back again. The ink stands are great. Love your videos.
I was happy to hear you acknowledge Local King Rubber Stamps. I've been buying their stamps, dies, and markers for many years. Lisa is an amazing talent and her products are so innovative. Her blending mushrooms have been available for a few years now but, because many crafters are unaware of her company, not many are aware of them. I've worked for Lisa helping out at a craft show here in Florida and I can tell you she's an absolute delight. I wish her the best.
Simon, I love your product test videos. You probably have never heaard this on your videos, but I have to compliment you on your perfect grammar. So refreshing to hear!
I love the look of your stamp in the wreath on the rectangle card card so much!!!! I am so excited to hear the tool will work for a rectangle card or scrapbook page. I really appreciate that you took the time to let us know the magnet on the tool does not leave a mark. Your videos are so informative!
Wow! You nailed this Simon. One of the most informative and comprehensive videos I have seen in a while. Your explanations were concise and clear. I love that you did not chit chat unnecessarily. Thank you for your professionalism. I use videos as classes so I can learn and apply myself. You did a great job. Thanks
I just got the pouncers but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Thank you for demoing the fact that they can’t be used as blenders. I bought them specifically for intricate stencils like you demonstrated with and also to do the bokah look with white pigment ink. And I would highly recommend don’t use mint tape to do your stenciling, but put them on a jelly plate or the Waffle Flower stencil plate and paper holder. Those things are the bomb!❤
That first tool is pretty amazing! I love the results that you got with it. I've seen Amy R. use those pouncers, but I believe from a different company since I believe she is in Canada. Cathy Zielske uses the ink stands all the time. Those are really great for keeping your inks still.
I have the blending sponges and love them. It was nice to see you mention Local king. She is a great person and really has some great product, including stamps and dies. I love to see our Canadian people get some recognition. Loved you video. :)
Thanks for the links. I bought several items and I was so excited to see the ink stand link. No one has ever done that before and it was so much easier to find it. I just love how you show us how to make crafting easier.
Simon! There are so many good things to say about this video! I hope you continue to do more reviews in the future on crafting tools that we may not always stumble upon as they’re not what we typically consider “mainstream” products. You’re so great at explaining everything in detail and using them in a versatile way to give us both ideas and a fair comparison to what we may already own. And what a treat to see a finished card or two in the process!! ❤️ (That’s my favorite part… 🤭)
Omg...great new tool and love the wreath look. I have the smaller ink blenders and love them. I bought your new Zig Zag die and LOVE it. Just wanted to share that I sprayed it with my water sprayer in a box and sprinkled it with watercolor powder and lightly sprayed again. Experimented with 2 to 3 colors. Omg...gorgeous!!
Doggone it, Simon . . . I don't "need" any new tools 😂🤣😂 . . . but mannnnn, that rotating stamp platform sure is calling my name. I'd ordered the Picket Fence Paper Pouncers a few months ago, but haven't gotten around to trying them yet. Sometimes, "acquisition mode" happens long before the opportunity for crafting mode comes up. I sure wish all of the various pouncing tools had been available 30 years ago, when I was bunching up triangular makeup sponges and trying not to leave edge marks on my projects. Those mini blending brushes by Altenew are also calling my name. I think I already have one set . . . but definitely need to acquire more! 🥰
I’ve purchased 2 sets of the paper pouncers recently and love them for colouring and shading delicate die cuts. Also have the white set so I can use one for white inking and other for embossing with versamark or similar. They clean so easily too. Thank you Simon 😊
Simon, I just love all your videos!! No matter if it’s you making cards or showing hacks or tools etc. you always show us and explain everything so well!! The Rotating Precision Press looks really neat!! I have some of the ink stands and love them!! Thanks for sharing Simon, I love all your projects you made!! ❤
Great tool demo Simon! I really like the WRMK wreath maker! Looks much faster than other ways. I think some experimenting is in order for that tool. You could use it as a small card stamp press with some washi tape. TFS!
I have not really tried wreath cards due to placement issues so I'm very interested in the WeRMakers tool! The ink stand looks promising and I love the lemon stamp set. Really I think you do a very good job of introducing new tools. Thanks Simon!
I wasn't a fan of the ink pouncers until you showed us the Maracas demonstration!!! What a great instrument no home should be without, if you listen to any kind of music that is! They're great to use when hopping around to rock, jazz and/or blues but they aren't very useful with classical music! Oh Simon; once again your personality shines through and I love it! When demonstrating new "inventions", your humor is the best part of your video's, along with all the detailed information you provide! Your products are excellent and the cards you make are always stunning! TFS
Thank you for being so honest. Some tools are great for exactly what they are designed to do. When y' we have different expectations we are often disappointed. ♥️
Thanks for your thorough review of these products. The pouncers are definitely great for pouncing ink on stencils - especially ones with fine lines. Love the small blending brushes for small areas - especially stencils and 3D embossing folders. Thanks Simon!
I've been looking for decent fussy cut scissors and really like the little Altenew brushes. Now to save the money. Thank you, Simon for this demo. 🌹🇨🇦🌹
So neat to see all these new products. I enjoy your review of the products and your honest thoughts. It certainly helps me in deciding what I want and maybe what I could put on the back burner. Thanks Simon! --Kristin
Thank you Simon the reviews are appreciated. One thing I would like to see is how much ink is getting absorbed by the pouncers compared to the normal domed ones. As the former are bigger I suspect there is ink getting wasted.
The We R Makers - Tools - Rotating Precision Press reminds me of the Martha Stewart Circle Edge punch set and Punch All Over that Page punches that holds the paper in place with magnets.
Hi, thank you for sharing your thoughts on these new products. Just recently purchased the paper pouncers (waiting delivery). Wasn't sure if I should discard my other blending tools until I watched this video. I enjoy working with stencils and I think these will be much better for me than the blending tools (no worries about ink getting under the stencils). Again, thank you.
I fell asleep watching this video last night (it was late!) I went back this morning to catch up. Thank you Simon for all the work you put into making high quality videos. You really are a super star.
Simon, your review of these products is so helpful. I wondered if the ink pounces would be good for Arthritic hands. The large handles appear to be much better to grasp in problem hands.
I appreciate your review of these new products. I had been wondering if the “pounces” were really necessary. Looks like they really do fit a need. Thank you!
Thanks for a detailed overview. You got straight to the point of the pros and cons! It's definitely easy to become overwhelmed with all of the options and tools out there... it seems like there's a tool for everything! My pocketbook thanks you lol
You always have so much creative ideas!! Sometimes my mind would be in crafting mood, bit would have no idea what to get..and how to get started. Thank you so much for giving me those helpful tips. And you make them look so beautiful..!! Great job and keep up the great work. :D
i always enjoy your vdeos, thank you for the information. i really like the first one, but then i saw the last card, so i dont know wich one is my favorite, because you always do a great job on them!
Super nice review...I get excited whenever you review items...Thank you sooo much ! My first purchase will be the very useful(for all) ink pad holder ...Yay !! 🥰
Hi, Simon - thanks for all the great tools and tips! I have the pouncers from Canada and they blend beautifully if you wet them first. I dunk mine in a bowl of water to saturate them, then squeeze a towel or rag around them until they are just damp. Not sure if the USA ones work that way, but give it a whirl and see what happens! 😊
This stamping tool looks nice and compact compared to something like the Stampwheel. But one major downside I'm seeing is that the magnetic piece takes up a pretty large chunk of the center space, so you can't make a very small-diameter wreath.
for blending on stencils which did you like better the Pink and Main ERGONOMIC BLENDING BRUSH PMT001 or the Picket Fence Studios - Paper Pouncers - Bright Rainbow its nice that the pouncers come in a set of 12 or 9, as the blending brushes from pink an main are only sold as singles in full sze or mini which makes them a little pricey
I love your lemon card, Simon, and would LOVE it if you came out with a die set to match. Even with the spring assist scissors I hate fussy cutting because it hurts my thumb & wrist so much. I think everyone of us who bought the lemon stamp/stencil set would purchase the die(s) too. (Lots of companies [ex: Rubbernecker] release matching dies long after the stamps are released!).
Thank you for sharing these items & your opinions. I wish it was easier & more economical for us in 🇨🇦 to purchase some of the amazing craft tools & supplies out there & your line is no exception! With exchange & taxes/duty buying from many of the US based companies if often just not feasible. Add to this, Michaels Canada has practically abandoned stamping, so I can’t even go to my local store to purchase stamps, ink, etc 😢. Side question: I noticed you store your brand of ink pads vertically on their sides - is that the best way to store yours (I do plan to purchase some one day)?
Love watching your videos. I especially like these videos where you are sharing so much valuable info on new things. You are very neutral when making the comparisons even though your company has many of the same products. This gives us the “warm fuzzy” that you are trustworthy. Just saying🥰
Thanks so much Cindy! I try to be as fair as possible with these reviews. Sometimes I feel like people only share the positives, but sharing what a product can and can’t do is so important for you all to see. So I know some of the reasons companies do what they do/pricing.
Hi Simon. Beautiful cards. I was wondering about the paper pouncers... You have a pouncer for every color family but it gets a lot of ink absorbed in the sponge so if I did a light pink and on my next card I need a saturated dark pink wont it contaminate the ink pad? Or if I use a dark pink and after I want to use a lighter pink the light pink on the pouncer will not come light. ???
I appreciate your honest assessments. Are you speeding up your voice-overs lately? You use to sound calming. I prefer that cadence, even if it makes the video a bit longer.
Is there an ideal and successful method for cutting the zig zag chevron ? I’ve tried a variety of paper weights both face down and face up using spellbinders platinum 6 - since this your product I figured I would come straight to the source.
Since this is a "is it worth your money" video, I would like to ask if the stamp pad holders really hold better than a piece of shelf liner? I use the kind of liner that is often used under glass to keep them from sliding or moving around.

Love your reviews, tips, and tricks, Simon. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
Glad you like them!❤️
You make the best cards! And I love your inks! Can't get enough of them!!
Hey Simon thx for identifying Local King for the Mushrooms. Also I love your thorough reviews.
Excellent presentation. Pleasent voice and great instructions. Thank you
It’s really nice to see these products “in action” and I appreciate your candid thoughts. Thank you for sharing.

I love my Fiscars spring scissors. They really make fussy cutting easier and I have less hand fatigue. Cute lemon card!
Thank you Simon the reviews are appreciated. One thing I would like to see is how much ink is getting absorbed by the pouncers compared to the normal domed ones. As the former are bigger I suspect there is ink getting wasted.
Gorgeous finished card. Looking forward to trying out those paper pouncers!

Thank you soooo much for sharing this tool video today. It was full of information for blending and very helpful.
I’m definitely going to be watching more videos using the Rotation precision press. Great ideas. Thank you for sharing. 😊🤗

Simon, your review of these products is so helpful. I wondered if the ink pounces would be good for Arthritic hands. The large handles appear to be much better to grasp in problem hands.
Really like your honest opinions and comment regarding ink pad holders… holding on for dear life😂 so true!!
I appreciate your review of these new products. I had been wondering if the “pounces” were really necessary. Looks like they really do fit a need. Thank you!
Great tutorial…that wreath builder looks like fun. And loved the cards. Awesome that it can be used on square shaped too. Thanks for the demos
I’ve had the paper pouncers for a little bit of time now and really like them. I have 2 sets….one for distress ink and one for distress oxides.
Yay!! So glad you are loving them. They seem great for some techniques. :)
Neat tools. I just got the Altenew blending brushes. Love the handles on them. Love my ink stands. The others I will pass on.
Thanks for a detailed overview. You got straight to the point of the pros and cons! It's definitely easy to become overwhelmed with all of the options and tools out there... it seems like there's a tool for everything! My pocketbook thanks you lol
Cool product demo. I love new tools! You explain things really good and make it look easy. 😃
You always have so much creative ideas!! Sometimes my mind would be in crafting mood, bit would have no idea what to get..and how to get started. Thank you so much for giving me those helpful tips.
And you make them look so beautiful..!! Great job and keep up the great work. :D
Those new products are interesting and useful for certain card making. 😊
i always enjoy your vdeos, thank you for the information. i really like the first one, but then i saw the last card, so i dont know wich one is my favorite, because you always do a great job on them!

Awesome projects! Love the zesty stamp and stencil.

Thank you Simon I’ll have to get some of those products
Thanks for Your Honest Reviews! 👌🏼

This was great and I bought the scissors. I might even get the first thing u showed we r Makers wheelie thing 😅😅😅😅.
Hi, Simon! Thanks for the great reviews; they are very helpful. I don’t see a link for the mini blending brush holder. Can you share? Thanks! 18:00

My favorite item was the stamp holder very smart
Yes! The ink pad holder is so awesome for one handed inking :)

Hi Simon. Beautiful cards. I was wondering about the paper pouncers...

Awesome tool. Just ordered one. 👍
I appreciate your honest assessments. Are you speeding up your voice-overs lately? You use to sound calming. I prefer that cadence, even if it makes the video a bit longer.
Very interesting and I liked the first tool the best.
I like that it's easy to store.
Is there an ideal and successful method for cutting the zig zag chevron ? I’ve tried a variety of paper weights both face down and face up using spellbinders platinum 6 - since this your product I figured I would come straight to the source.
I can’t help but say that you make it look “easy peasy, lemon squeezy”, lol! 🍋
Hahaha thanks!
Awesome video!
Since this is a "is it worth your money" video, I would like to ask if the stamp pad holders really hold better than a piece of shelf liner? I use the kind of liner that is often used under glass to keep them from sliding or moving around.
Hi Simon, is it also possible to use card sizes in whole centimeters or has it to be exactly in inches?
Omg, the rotating tool is amazing! People who are able to create these kind of tools are truly genius!
Nice finds indeed.
Thanks! Simon
Simon….Wow, that is a nice tool! WRMK (American Crafts) can really come out with some great hits or sometimes…truthfully….IMHO, some total clunkers. I was wondering, however, how you would compare it to the StampWheel (at double the price) that focuses on rotation for wreaths and layering of stamps as a strength? I bought the StampWheel…it is no doubt a quality tool. But for typical stamping of one or two impressions for greeting cards or tags 🏷️, I find it’s a bit cumbersome to use. Plus, like this one, as you noted with the WRMK rotation tool, when you need to do repeat stamping on the same image and you have to press down from ABOVE your paper, you don’t get the security that your impression will line up exactly….as you do with hinge-type stamping tools (such as the Misti and others.) If you can ever compare the two, I think that would be great! Thanks 😊
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. 🤩
Like the truth in your show. Lots of products don't seem to come to Canada.
I love this new tool!
Gracias ❤
I really like the way you didn’t color the whole background! Cute card.
Can you use Aleene's tacky glue in that? Ty Robin
I think that tapping would drive me nuts does a nice job though
Thank you so much forsuch ainteresting tool
Thanks for showing that a rectangle can be used
