European Union is ‘ashamed’ of Europe’s Christian roots

- The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says it is a “tragedy” the European Union is “ashamed of Europe's Christian roots”.
It comes after the European Commission released an inclusive language guide telling officials not to mention 'Christmas'.
“It said you mustn’t say ‘Christmastime can be stressful’, you must say ‘the holiday period can be stressful’,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News host Chris Smith.
“It seems a trivial thing in a way, they said don’t use … obviously Christian names if you’re talking generally about the public, don’t say John and Mary, use generic names like Malika and Giulio.
“The European Union is hostile to and ashamed of Europe's Christian roots and I think this is a debilitating weakness for western culture and a tragedy because a whole generation of western kids are growing up without any knowledge of Christianity.”

Here in Latin America we thank our lord it was the Europeans that discovered our continent and brought Catholicism and Christianity to our land. Yes many mistakes were made along the way , but it was still the best option no offense to the rest of the Old World.
I phoned the Salvation Army (Canada) and due to their woke policies I explained that I was no longer going to donate to them. They won't allow their employees to use the religious exemption to avoid their mandatory vaccine (despite them being a religious organization). I wished the woman a Merry Christmas and she responded with wishing me a Good Day. She couldn't even say "CHRISTMAS".

I’m not religious in the slightest but I fully appreciate living in a society that has Christian values at its core. But our pleasant society is changing fast, being replaced by its antithesis. Dilution of the native people of the west is the decimating factor. Christian values are partly to blame for this, in particular the tolerance and acceptance of the intolerant.
You are very observant to see that truth. I believe that the spirit of political correctness (Communism) entered the church systems and corrupted them in their efforts to grow their congregation. Sadly, many pastors forgot their actual mission and went woke so as not to offend anyone. In doing so, they lost their core message of forgiveness of all the wrongdoings, but only after the repentance of such.
They fell prey to the smoke screen of the enemy, confusing love for all with acceptance of all behaviors. Christ was clear about what sin was and wasn't. He hung out with the lowest of the low on the streets in compassionate acknowledgment of their individual value - loving them, not their sinful behaviour and offering them both healing AND eternal life. A twofer!
Even in His time, it was the church leaders that hated his message of peace so much they had Him brutally murdered by the Roman State.
His new Covenant to let all people reach for eternal life through Him threatened their power structure and beloved, hopelessly rigid rules.
The spirits that try to control power structures, whether it be government or church, are not of God - they are sent by the enemy of God to corrupt those who entered public service with the best of intentions. That is why seemingly good candidates for office become an unrecognizable minion of the state after they get elected. Acknowledging that there are two worlds superimposed - the natural and the supernatural- makes everything fall into place. We finally can see that it is a rare individual that has the conviction and stamina to resist all the temptations inherent to their positions of trust.
There is a remnant of the body of Christ, across all denominations, that has grown stronger in their faith in this time of violence and persecution. Be watching for the massive revival that is just now sweeping across the world. We are going to see a wave of people finding hope and peace through Christ far greater than the Jesus movement in the 70s and the massive atadiums Billy Graham filled around the world.
It will finally become crystal clear to most people what enemy we all have been facing all these eons. It is not racism or corrupt policing or any of the obvious social ills that are the problem. There is a war that has been raging in the spirit world all around us every day - One who gives and forgives vs. one who corrupts and destroys. That is what is creating our strife, even within our marriages and homes.
When you see the big picture, life becomes eadier to understand, much less chaotic and confusing, leaving room for the peace and joy that Christ's willing sacrifice opened up for us all, no matter the guilt of our past. Forgiveness is the key to happiness and one of Christianity's key tenets. Christianity is truly the story of redemption.
You need not be religious to learn Christ's message, to acknowledge the Holy Spirit within you and search for wisdom in the best self help book ever written - The Bible.

EU Comission becomes quite open about its untichristian views recently and has many ideas about how "not to offend" anyone with Christmas for example, including using specific words that can be offensive to others who are not Christian or displaying Christmas decorations in shops, singing Christmas carols in public etc

My family is Hindu and we celebrated Xmas/ new year and Easter etc every year! My parents always made parallels between religions and point out similarities. If someone says merry Christmas, I answer back the same. It made no difference that I am not Christian

I'm from the UK and my three children go to school and are told all religions are the same:
- If I put petrol on your cereal and milk in the car - would you say all liquids are the same?
- If I said all sports are the same - they have some rules, usually a ball and two sides. Then is tennis the same as rugby?

I used to live in Queens, NYC and most of my neighbors were Hindu and Muslim. They thought it was ridiculous that saying, " Merry Christmas " was being discouraged. When my neighbors celebrated Eid or Diwali, I was also happy for them. ( among other holidays)
Its interesting how those same people who dont want to acknowledge Christianity certainly want Christmas spending to exist.

As a 60's women raised Lutheran....i now see that society was interrupting Religion i couldn't get my husband away from TV sports to go to Church....my kids are now grown and have little knowledge of my religious beliefs. I am completely horrified at this stage.....We really need to immerse the grown "kids" into Christ. "The Chosen ones" is a series i have been following on Y.T. please take a look. I have had no greater Joy in life than my relationship with my Lord. Sadly that must just be me....i thought it was all. I failed my kids. Sad. "Revelations" warns of these times now for anyone interested
