Evil Max from the nightmare returns! Because of Evil Max's doings, the police detective got suspicious on our Max instead. Bad ending is Evil Max got away and our Max got locked up; Good ending is the other way round.

Crazy thing is, she actually did hop into other realities in the comics. She and Chloe went back to Arcadia Bay for the memorial and Max accidently hopped into a timeline where Rachel Amber never died, and spent several months on the road with her and that Timeline's Chloe before she finally managed to find her way back to her OG timeline and Her Chloe.
For me, comic's story is the best. I hope they don't just throw it out of windows saying "it wasn't cannon." Most of the people confuses about many thing in the new game but there are answers in the comics. I don't know if they will use it but object based rewind is so cool as well. As I said, comics literally offers what I had in my mind after finishing first game. I would finish the story like that if I wrote it. But not seeing Chloe is terrify me. I hope DeckNine don't just make a background "Max had to move on from old ties to clear her head." crap.

Well the great thing about the comics, is that they can exist in parallel with any other story in the LiS universe, and still be "canon". We even see glimpses of the unlimited amounts of different realities within the comics, so it's entirely possible that this game's story is one of those other realities. In fact, I believe that's the exact way that this game is going
There's a theory going around that it may be a meteor this time. Which does fall in line with the themes being focused on in this game. But we'll see down the road whether or not that theory was on point.

I still can't figure out why Max's power changed? Was it caused by a collision with... someone else's power? And what happened at that point in the past where the timelines split?
Well in the comic, when she sacrivice Arccadia bay or not. Her power become stronger, ended up making her jump between timeline. But she still keep her rewind power
they said that her power atrophied from lack of use over the past 10 years, and evolved into something new. i am hoping we do get the rewind back at some point, even for just a little bit during the climax or something.
Before her new power was fully explained, I was thinking of what if scenarios like if Max could shift to a different timeline where the world around her is much different like a character/place from a previous game would appear or be mentioned or at least be alive as a reference or an Easter egg, like Chloe would appear in an alternate scene if you didn’t sacrifice Arcadia Bay by shifting to a different timeline, or what Alex’s life would have turned out if Gabe never died, or even what the Diaz brothers life would have been like if Esteban never died. But after watching this clip, now I’ve realised that it was mainly just shifting between different scenarios within the room she’s in to her advantage to solve the mystery.

Ok but her powers manifesting like this are still unexplainable, like what caused her powers to get this evolved? where did these powers come from? there are so many unanswered questions about the origin of these powers and instead we focus on the mundane things like finding a wrench, i feel like the story has not progressed much since the first game in terms of the lore behind everything and i think that is a key part of the overall universe of LiS.
Since its a story game I don't think they want to show much of the gameplay, but yeah I agree. I do believe that we'll get some sort of supernatural explanation tho since in one of the trailers they kind of hinted at it with Moses.

While i like the new powerset, i wish it was an addition to the rewind so we could still use it in investigation. On the other hand, now we have to think about our next move and how not to mess up.

Cute interactions like the Alan wrench scene is perfect to give us stuff to look forward to however. 👏👀 No spoilers to plot, but very cute human character interactions.~
I feel one big ending twist could be the option of whether to Stay in the Original Dead Timeline, or Move to the Living Timeline. Does Max accept Safi's death, or will she defy it? In a way, it would reflect the ending of LiS 1 and give another big heart-wrenching choice!

There wasn't any release date for Lost Records other than "Late 2024". SE was just faster with announcing a definitive date. But on the bright side, that gives Dontnod more time to polish Lost Records.

Do i have to play 1 and 2 to understand or should i just jump in to DP? I'm surprisingly really looking forward to this, haven't gotten into LIS yet/don't normally play these types of game but this looks good, could be very fun. It's definitely on my radar.
You can play it straight away but I heavily advise you to play the first game. That's the one where you get know and love Max. And it's an amazing game overall, it changes you. Can't recommend it enough.

There's literally no point to her in the game. You quite literally shoehorned her into this to chase profits. She doesn't even look the same.

I'm surprisingly really looking forward to this, haven't gotten into LIS yet/don't normally play these types of game but this looks good, could be very fun. It's definitely on my radar.
You can play it straight away but I heavily advise you to play the first game. That's the one where you get know and love Max. And it's an amazing game overall, it changes you. Can't recommend it enough.
I hope there will be some plot twist like with these different realities she will be able to return to Arcadia Bay or something like that
