As a weekend warrior / DIYer it’s definitely nice to see a pro using some Harbor Freight tools. A lot of people like to crap on HB, it seems like it’s the “cool” thing to do. I’ve actually talked to people who have never stepped foot in a HB and they bash them up and down. I definitely think they made some positive strides recently. Sure, some of their brands aren’t top of the line, I get that. Most are ok though I think. Thanks for showing folks that they aren’t all bad and even have a place in the professional world. Have a great weekend.

Very nice. The plyers are for axel stud cones. I could totally work out of this box. You got everything you need

@@thejunkyarddrifter there’s decent sets of thin wrenches nowadays that are pretty affordable. That’ll help speed up a lot of jobs.

the ol' tool polisher line. classic.
like you, ive been wrenching my whole life, but not as a professional, on just about anything that runs on gas or mixed gas. how easy was it jumping into the diesel world? been doing concrete for 30 yrs and been thinking about making a career change......thinking. love doing concrete but also really enjoy wrenching. might have an chance at an entry diesel tech job. was just wondering.
    thanks.

It wasn’t to bad at all! I would say go with caution, I know plenty of people who wrench for fun that no longer want to wrench anymore after they make it there job. However if that doesn’t become an issue for ya the best thing I can say for jumping into the diesel field is just apply a lot of mechanical common sense and be willing to learn a lot, you’d be surprised how much of the technology is super old school but meets new tech at the same time. Like for an example I can have an axle style that’s basically 1970’s tech mechanically but the same truck has all the modern sensors and modules that you see on any new car nowadays. It can really be a mixed bag, especially in the heavy duty semi truck world where I mostly live in. The money is good and there’s definitely a demand in the field! If you decide to make the jump I hope you stick with it and it treats you well! Hope that helps! Thanks for the comment brother!

Do you know the part number for those Mac Maxx force fuel line disconnect tools?

The BEST tools are those YOU can afford. Otherwise we would all have large Snap On tool boxes, live in a multi million dollar home,, drive expensive vehicles, and all have models for spouses. BUT THATS NOT REAL.

Wait. You metric sockets are garbage but your standard are mostly Snap On?

My guess is he hit a good deal on the snap on ones used. Standard snap on socket sets used awash come up cheap in my area
