Hoping a speedy and safe return for your son, my son was deployed a year and returned in November. I did receive some lovely gifts from my family but your Christmas wish would be the greatest gift of all and I pray for his safe return.

Some people have lost everything this year and may choose not to watch because they find these sorts of videos hard to watch this year. It doesn't mean they "don't like seeing people happy". Some empathy and awareness for those in less fortunate situations wouldn't go amiss.

If you all listen to the vlog Lydia did say you can choose not to watch if things are tough for you right now. There is always a choice. Our household had no Christmas presents this year as my husband had to close his business. If watching someone show gifts and talk about them effected me then I would not watch. We are in a lockdown once again in Scotland just like yourselves.
I’m sure Lydia is well aware of what some people have gone through this last year. However COVID hasn’t only just affected people financially but for a lot of other reasons too for example mentally. I’m sure Lydia doesn’t reveal every little detail of her life on her social media/ RUclips platforms, so you have no idea how this pandemic has affected her. Please if this last year has taught us anything it is to be more kind to each other because no one knows what is just around the corner.

I typically enjoy these Christmas videos, however I think on this occasion it may have been more appropriate for you to acknowledge that this video is particularly contentious to post at the moment - it’s not just a case of ‘not wanting to see people happy’.
Please be mindful that a large proportion of people have had an extremely tough Christmas.
People have lost loved ones, have lost jobs, have been unable to see those most important to them, and some have spent Christmas alone.
Maybe Christmas 2020 could have been a special time to keep private, for yourself.
Or maybe people could watch someting else if they have a hard time watching a luxury channel.
I do not agree with you at all, I think everyone can enjoy what they want and watch what they want, if you think that this video was insensitive why did you even click on it? I personally like to see these type of videos with happy people specially this year. Instead of trying to put people down with comments like this, try to help by yourself by volunteering or donating that would be more beneficial for everyone. Sorry for the mistakes I am not native and happy New Year! :)
As I mentioned, I really enjoy these videos usually - it was the comment at the start of ‘not wanting to see people happy’ that bothered me personally. I stopped watching after this
I’m not putting anyone down at all, this is an open forum and I wanted to mention how important it is to be mindful, and to acknowledge the people in those scenarios that I mentioned.

i used to think that Lydia just did a poor job with empathetic communication. sadly though, i think her words are actually carefully chosen to place all blame for any negativity on her viewer. she is unable to acknowledge her own communication style contributes in any way to the hurt/hurtful comments she then receives. i can only hope she grows professionally in 2021 and does a better job, cuz i really do enjoy the videos. and when she’s not disingenuously tackling any deeper content - cuz she’s terrible at it - i usually enjoy her personality as well.

I live near a Hermès in California and I go in and out all the time. It’s no different than any other store. I give zero fks what the SA’s think of me. I’ve asked questions about leathers. I’ve tried on bags they have on display. I buy nothing because I haven’t seen anything I like. But i leave with my head held high. I don’t think twice about it.

As a stage IV cancer patient I celebrated my 6th yr still alive thanks to immunotherapy, At this point I have received both of my Pfizer Covid vaccines ( health care worker) & got to spend a lovely holiday with my husband and son. The family spoiled me with a new iPad Air & accessories so I consider myself most fortunate & grateful

Hello my love, just a suggestion - is it possible to do behind the scenes kind of vlogs? For example, when you go down to your office and converse with the staff etc day to day actual tasks showing the real nitty gritty, not like a dedicated vlog to it but like a few clips added in here and there, I think that would be super interesting of course in addition to the excellence you provide already xxx

My sister in law works at Coravin! It’s an absolute life saver! You put it through a cork (cork only), poor one or two glasses and take the needle back out. The cork naturally shuts again, and you can keep the wine as if you’ve never opened it!

At various points I have worked for many luxury brands; Chanel, Dior, Vuitton ect ect. But when I worked for Hermes.... I realised that no other brand comes close. I have always had excellent experiences in Hermes in the UK, France and US. I think sometimes people are expecting it to be horrible and they project that bad vibe and it gets picked up by people trying to help you.

Loved this! So many lovely and thoughtful gifts, and all so perfect for you. My Christmas was cozy and quiet, just my parents, sister and I, and the two dogs. Lots of love, laughter, yummy food, and endless prosecco. :) I was pretty spoiled with several really thoughtful gifts that were so perfect for me, including a couple pieces of jewelry to commemorate my newest novel that launched at the beginning of December. I was stunned when I opened them! I love that you're watching Downton Abbey! It's such aa great show, and the film is good too so make sure you watch that when you finish the series. I've started rewatching the series after you mentioned you'd started it. I think this is my 5th time watching? :)

I'm similar in the way I dont like preparing meat and I dont like wasting it when doing roast. So we get slices of beef that you would put in a sandwich and pop the slices in an oven dish, cover it with hot gravy and put it in the over 200° for 25 mins to heat up and the "roast" is delicious. Serve with all your normal roast potatoes, carrots, veggies etc. No meat wasted and fool proof. X
