Last year Jackie starred in a film called RIDE ON, which was a pretty dramatically driven film about an aging action star who learns that its okay to stop taking jobs that endanger him or don't really fit his age. Its one of the best late career films for Jackie Chan and really allowed him to flex his dramatic muscles... which makes this film's existence really funny.

Jackie Chan has become a communist but still.....he has a good legacy of films from the 70's - 00's.

I've had some involvement with The Myth all those years ago. Helped out for free and translated most of the special features for the Hong Kong DVD from Joy Sales. I haven't seen this follow-up yet but I'm not expecting much either.
I'd also like to chime in and mention that I saw The Myth in the theatre at the Toronto International Film Festival red carpet premiere. I came in very drunk. Drinking on an empty stomach did me no favors at all!

I just got done watching it. That was bad bad. The chinese series is wayyy better than both combined played by Hu'Ge from 2010. I'm actually surprised they haven't updated that yet. They did it with everything else. Especially movies like condor heroes etc

The quality of Jackie's movies has been pretty bad ever since he made mainland China movies. Even John Cena couldn't save Hidden Strike from mediocrity. You can easily tell it's a mainland China movies through the use of Mandarin language only instead d of. Cantonese and how it was shot and lit. It's kinda sad because Jackie is also dragging down director Stanley Tong with him. While Hong Kong movies is making a big comeback with Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, Jackie's movies is getting worst. Even his previous movie before Legend, Ride On was a big flop. Really missed the days where he makes kick ass Hong Kong movies.

Jacky Chan has probably never been a great person, but he really started selling out when he went to Hollywood and mainland China. That passion from his 80s and 90s HK days is long gone. Now it just seems like he's desperately trying to hang onto fame while sucking up to the Chinese government.

It seems like hes just making movies for money now like Bruce Willis.

Some of his Hollywood movies were actually decent. Now? He just wants that fat paycheck@@fattiger6957

@@DragonInfraXtremeRGT yeah it's really disappointing to see him stoop so low. I just watched the extended version of Armour of God 2: Operation Condor and realized how amazing his direction is for this Indiana Jones inspired action adventure. It's sad we'll never get a movie like that anymore from him even from a technical standpoint.

I am a fan of Jackie's 80s and 90s HK films. Some of the best of Kung Fu cinema. However, his output since has left a lot to be desired. The man should probably just hang it up and retire. Jacky loves to suck up to the CCP, why not get into politics.

That is how Chan looked in To Kill With Intrigue(1977). Hsu Feng forced him to eat hot rocks. The English dubbed version had "Hee Haw font'!

Why does Jackie need the ancient pendant? Because everyone seems to like to have it in their museum 😅? (I’m sure it’s a sh1t movie, don’t need to watch to know, but many times ancient artifacts are sought after just because they are ancient 🤷‍♀️ lol 🤣)
Also Jaycee is too deep in drugs, that kid ain’t doing anything lol. If he wants to, he would 20yrs ago 😅 his dad possibly tried to get his son out of the drug hole, but that’s why it’s only a 5mins job!

@@jakey14344 Well, not just him but he had an entire apartment full of drugs which other celebrities and friends would come over and do. And it hurt Jackie Chan more cus Jackie Chan is like this official "anti-drug spokesman for the Communist party."

I have enjoyed his previous films so gave it a go and ugh it was a slog. I hated his deepfake ai non blinking face and the extended melodramatic romance scenes was absolute cringe. Visually it`s great otherwise and the big battle towards the end was excellent - the rings of power producers should have hired these guys. The film should have been an hour less than it was it really dragged in places. 5/10
