    Today we take a look at the Petlibro Granary, featuring a hairy special guest! I'm using the petlibro granary as a way of automating my pet feeding schedules, to take some of the pressure of daily routines, whilst also making sure my dog gets fed properly! Although normally used for cats, the petlibro granary is a great automatic feeder for my dog too!

    I'm a long-time subscriber of your channel and follow you on X/Twitter; I love your reviews and unboxings 😍 but this particular smart product definitely comes under the banner of "just becuase you can automate something, it doesn't mean you should."
    I love the interaction I have with my dog, and I would hate to automate key parts of that interaction such as her mealtimes. If I do that, then what is the point of me even having a dog? As she has EPI she has to have four meals a day with medicine to keep on top of it; I love interacting with her and seeing how excited she gets over her food, especially when it comes to her evening meal which she does NUTS for. If I had a smart pet feeder like this, it would take all the enjoyment I get out of the interactions I have with my dog around mealtimes.
    Now if it dispensed prosecco, that would be a whole other story 🥂🥂

      Haha! All fair points! I guess it’s pet dependant - mine is so driven by food that he’s fixated on just receiving it, less about interaction for him, so I don’t really get anything from him - and any form of ‘playing’ with his food would just irritate him rather than give him enjoyment 😂
      Also he’s a rough collie, so super sensitive stomach… only eats one type of biscuit otherwise bad things happen - so by automating it to an extent, it means I can focus on making sure my kids are not killing each other and there’s more time to get other jobs done so I have more free time to spend with everyone when I’m not doing jobs 😂.
      Every pet is different though - and if mealtime is one of the things that helps you bond with yours, then you should absolutely not automate it! 🐶

    Nice, needs a water dish to go with it, although adding a leak sensor to alert when low would be enough. Lovely dog BTW, what breed is he?

      He’s a rough coated collie… same as lassie (except Monty is a black one).

    If it dispensed wine, I'd have ordered it already.

    Another nice review. It would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison with Aqara's version.

    Would not work with 2 dogs - unless it only released the food with a retina scan.

      I really should hack one of these to work for sweets... maybe even as a reward device (although it would need IFTTT before i can do that i think)!

    I have this for my cat, the video feature on my feeder is so bad, so many network exceptions and failed to load video.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  4 месяца назад +1

      I mean that could be your network and where you’ve got it placed. I haven’t had issues but then my network is a mesh network with full signal in every room in the house 👀. Because my experience was different, or you disagree with my opinion doesn’t make my content bad 😂.

      @@StusReviewsUK Hi stu, your content is good. I don't have any issues with my eufy WiFi cameras or other devices. This is an issue on Reddit for users outside of the UK or USA. For example I live in the UAE. Pls don't take this as critique, just as additional info.

      @ArabianBytes interesting - I’ll take a look at the Reddit! Wonder why it’s an issue outside of US/UK 🤔

    I see these smart feeders as a good option when away from home for a day with animals which can stay at home for 1-2 days but need feeding like cats. If I do not have the time to do a daily feed I do not have time for my Pets.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  4 месяца назад

      Fair points! But then on the flip side, I don’t mind automating the monotonous, even if I have time 👀 feeding time for Monty is less about interaction and more about hurrying up and giving him his food 😂

    Not having any pets, I would just fill that thing with M+Ms or Skittles.

      Wouldnt be a bad idea to help people lose weight... dispensing a certain amount of whatevers inside it each day... probably would need it on a larger scale if you were to do human portions though!
