Not just Canadian history, I've never forgotten Terry since I saw this film about him in the early 80's. I was twelve then. I'm from East Tennessee.

in canada we love him so much we have statues of him. he is considered a paragon of Canadian virtue. the very definition of a hero.

What an absolute legend. He restores my faith in humanity that there really are true life heroes that can indeed positively change the world by selflessly sacrificing themselves for others!

All cancer survivors owe a huge thanks to Terry Fox because the money he raised for cancer research has greatly benefited cancer treatment today. Three years ago, my oldest nephew had cancer but fortunately survived and is alive and healthy today. Even if I can't give a specific example of which treatment was created from this research, I am certain that this research was made possible by Terry Fox's courageous fight and my nephew along with countless others have benefited from the research Terry helped fund. It was such a shame that Terry himself didn't live long enough to benefit from this research but cancer survivors everywhere are his lasting legacy.

@@RoadWatchNation Wouldn't it be wonderful if all countries on this planet joined in on this Marathon of Hope Race. We're getting there though. 195 countries and so far 70 have joined in.
