I just thank you guys for sharing such a great message that is very much needed. It's a reminder to myself not to place marriage or any relationship as in idol. As you all were speaking it reminded me of how we as a society look to marriage as a savior. Ladies dream of their "prince charming" coming to save them from a life of past hurts and failures and they expect this unconditional love. However, what some people don't realize is that our savior and prince charming has already come! He's already saved us! Jesus died so that we might live. Innately we want unconditional love... God loves us like that. He loves us so much that he gave his only begotten son to die in our place...while we we're STILL sinners....man that's a God of unconditional love. I ended it because I felt I was not ready and our foundation wasn't godly to start with, even though both of us are saved. This video is so relevant and necessary in my life right now because most of my friends are courting/dating and I've been under pressure to succumb for some time now. Amen, I love this because I totally believe what you said is true. Before I understood what real love truly comes from God. I was in a place that I chased after my selfish desire for a guy, it was really bad. It all started when I turned away from my faith in Jesus, then things got deeper into sin. I allowed myself to engage in sex before marriage, while knowingly he had a girlfriend. My actions hurt them, and others that loved them. Now that I understand real love comes God that is the reason why wholeheartedly surrendered my life to Jesus. So, I truly believe that loving God and putting Him first will make healthy relationships.

Our definition of “letting Christ heal/restore you” stems from the principle that Jesus outlined Himself in passages such as Mark 5:34, Mark 10:52, Luke 8:48, and Luke 17:19. Our faith in Jesus and His divine power is what heals us from our past hurts and failures. By claiming the life-giving power in Jesus’ name and what He accomplished at Calvary, we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives to cleanse us of all our unrighteousness. This cleansing process is what takes us from our broken sinful state and thus makes us whole (spiritually and sometimes physically as well). We believe that someone has reached a state of healing from past pain when he or she is able to step out and speak freely about the experience without being troubled by the pain. This is an exercise of faith in seeing that Christ has truly delivered him or her from that hurt and removed the “stinger” so that the person is now able to utilize that experience as a testimony.
