Now Gretsch would you please make a limited edition for the greatest of the greats Poison Ivy of The Cramps? I'm pretty sure she deserves it and loads of fans worldwide would love to have a guitar with her personal touch in it.
Absolutely!!
The problem with this idea is that they would need to approach her and both parties would need to come to an agreement; guitar companies do not do these things unilaterally. Also there's nothing particularly unique about Ivy's axe - it's just a standard '58 6120. Basically this idea is a non-starter for these reasons.
@@JohnnyFriendly good point but, from what I’ve seen most signature guitars have nothing special apart from the signature of the artists, more often than not just cosmetic enhancements… their signature means recognition for their work and that itself is what makes it special and unique.
I just saw one in person today and it's probably the prettiest guitar I have ever seen. If I had an extra 4k, I would have left the store with it. Stunning in person.

That’s a shame you haven’t heard of him. Definitely recommend giving him a listen, he sounds like Elvis a lot. Usually his shows are sold out and he’s quite well known since one of his songs was featured in a hit TV show

The guy is a cheeseball. He was on Sub Pop records at one time. This guitar sells for $4,000. Who is his audience who can afford that?!
May not care for the fellers music , lyrics, or whatever but the guitar is cool looking. And that price is not far off for a White Falcon. I have a Rancher White Falcon acoustic electric.
More affordable , great sounding and a comfortable neck that I can play for hours without cramping up. My Electromatic is the same way. Lot of icons have played Gretsch guitars like Neil Young, Malcolm Young from AC-DC (rip and no relation to Neil [maybe]). Save your change.

What's with the mask?
It lets him be more raw and candid, shows showmanship and art, plus it lets you focus on the music more than the man making said music
