I went down a rabbit hole just now, I had no idea sam was from get dead, I stumbled upon get dead on a series of long drives to escape America and alcoholism and seeing sam and fat mike connected makes my heart happy as fuck, like full circle or something, this is great I found a podcast from two of my favorite bands, in the same fuckin room
FYI Sam and Mike are in another band together called Codefendants, if you're into get dead and NOFX and maybe into some hip hop it's worth checking out
This shit was fucking exactly what I needed right now I love that version of pepperspray, but the song about calling friends was epic too.
Abscessed is an amazing song and Codefendants is an outstanding band. I hope you guys keep it up. I’ve been loving everything so far.

Sam is like that guy from high school who everyone thought was smart, funny, and cool, but he didn’t care, which made him even cooler. He’d bum your cigarettes and never get you back but you’d keep buying them because you hoped he’d ask. And you considered trying to get sent to detention because you knew he’d probably be there.
My wife's brother is that guy. It's kinda crazy watching this as they are so similar. I love the guy but it doesn't work out in the long run. Shit starts to go off the rails in a bad way when you hit 40.

outta interest how do you get hold of narcan? Asking cos I'm an ER nurse and just curious how easy it is to get hold of as im a big proponent of harm/risk reduction with drug use :)
@@fromthedumpstertothegrave3689 any needle exchange program has it, and theres outreach workers always handing it out with cookers and cleans in high drug areas, like where I work downtown pdx. I imagine you can order free from somewhere also but it's evérywhere these days

America had to do something though because the transmission from prescription opioids to heroin to fentanyl happened so fast that nobody had the time to acclimate their tolerance to the overwhelming supply of fentanyl that flooded the streets when the doctors stopped prescribing and the always available heroin dried up due to the profit margins between opium farming -morphine production-heroin manufacturing versus cheap Chinese laboratory grade fentanyl being so huge that it replaced heroin overnight and none of us were ready for it. A whole lot of my beloved people died including my mom and girlfriend. Had it not been for the available of narcan I'd not be here typing this to you now. It was everyday someone you knew died and one to two of the people you loved passed every week till the government made it to where narcan is so easy to get because of the unbelievable amount of deaths. Now it's basic junkie etiquette to use the buddy system and to make narcan a part of your kit( needles,cooker,cotton,lighter,water,tie-off). Hopefully the UK gets with the times soon.
