    • @eavocado5890pppj
      @eavocado5890pppj 2 месяца назад

      To the rest of the world it’s very obvious why the US has so much violence and death.
      It’s always Socio-economic conditions, as in poor people who have to pay for education, have to pay for healthcare and have easy access to weapons of mass destruction. Being in debt in the thousands as a 20 year old is not normal and having to pay for basic human rights is not normal.
      Yet even now you still defend the idea that weapons meant to kill people in mass in a matter of seconds should be available for the public.
      You guys make guns available in grocery stores but ban abortion, even Saudi Arab allows women to get abortions and birth control in Saudi Arabia is cheaper/free and you don’t need a doctor’s prescription unlike the US.

    • @skyfallprime7977
      @skyfallprime7977 Месяц назад

      A somewhat educated guess would be, a failing economy (steal to live), poor education (both teacher and student), ease of access to guns (US exclusive) (easier to cause death) , the size of the country (same problem affects more people), drugs (illegal kind), all of it mixing, and more.

    • @ayoCC
      @ayoCC 17 дней назад

      multiple factors that need to be chipped away at simultaneously as the other guy said.
      Another thing is also the lack of effective tax usage for social cohesion.
      Taxes are used for roads, bridges, subsidies, and some minor social programs, and primary and secondary education. Well, the world has higher standards now, so it's time to also put in some weight on tertiary education. Other places have violence because they are freaks, America has violence because people are being squeezed.
      After high school, people aren't being given a path laid out before them, lets do it, make an apprentice system with government paid vocation schools.
      Businesses can then hire cheap slave labor as part time workers, and it reduces their costs of training, while still getting a fully capable and experienced worker 3 years down the line.
      Then the worker will pay a slightly higher tax burden for 3 or so years, and then earn full wage paying back the rest through taxes throughout the rest of their lives.
      As for innovation, i think that people who want to make like the next high performance radiative paint to regulate temperatures on cars, they'll already find something. But there's people who are able minded enough to plan out crimes, well what if they planned out weddings instead, or debt collections, or censuses, or even being a high paid plumber. The full list of professions that exist in a city should be studied to be honest, together with the number of people that fulfill those roles.
      Teens are often facing a future where they feel like nothing is waiting for them. College is a big gamble and you probably should only go if you're confident you have the ability. And that's not everyone.

I think its first option for efficiency and saving resources but regardless both ways there will be some "collateral" damage. As an outsider, my opinion is that America and its citizens have this entitled opinion that they are by default correct and perfect in every aspect. And they presume they are the gold standard. And now with that misconception pre-established, they judge rest of the world as doing things wrong, if they aren't doing it the American way. For example, for no good reason, South Korea follows so many American laws and work procedures.
    Let me remind you dear Americans, that there are countries with civilizations and judicial systems thousands of years older than any creature on American land knew how to speak any language. Other countries have their own beliefs, culture, mythology, concepts of after-death, balance, harmony, evil, justice. Should any country judge another country's practices towards its own citizens? Regarding anything, not just this video or the death penalty. 100s of people are dying this moment in Bangladesh protesting about reservation. Americans wouldn't even know what that means maybe. Yet most will have a firm opinion without knowledge of Bangladesh's history.
    I am not supporting Osama Bin Laden, but if you take an unbiased look at his history you'll understand why he hated America. Not spontaneously, not out of an autonomous hallucination. Same reason, America makes everyone worship them and destroys native cultures. It's like a pseudo-colonization, slavery under the guise of human-rights or whatever sugar coating they wanna give. Just like colonizers of America neutralized the native american culture, they wanna do that to the world! It's simple, mind your own business, why interfere in governance of other countries? They are minding their own business and have been for thousands of years. Other countries know their shit. Their own people will rebel if their native administration is actually bad. Look at India as well, another ancient civilization, when making their constitution they read constitutions of all countries and chose what is actually good and chose to include those concepts. If you are actually gold-standard good, people will automatically accept your ways.
    Also reminding you that no other country on this planet preaches America about their inadequacies. Like, most countries are centralized, is anyone saying hey America abolish your federal system? Gun laws? 90% of countries have heavy restrictions on civilian guns. Does anyone preach USA? But the reverse is always true.

It is equal cringe when people flame US for their weird gun laws drug problems and what not. YOu are allowed to make complete mockery of other contries state or culture as long as it is out of genuine concern and not in a rascist way. US guns laws are stupid and hanging still being a thing in japan is completely nuts. While other cultures have different norms, it would be stupid if we didn't challange them and try to make everything better.

      This essay was so negative iq and cringe I can’t even articulate the feeling of second hand embarrassment I’m having. Firstly, there’s been humans inhabiting what is now American land for 20,000 years or better, not sure where you were going with that but no established country on earth even comes close to being that old. You say Americans can’t comprehend the differences in foreign cultures while Europeans and the rest of the Western world are always in shock/enraged at the difference in mannerisms in the US compared to their country, as well as a myriad of other harmless things that America does differently than the rest of the world. The most ironic of all is you talking about the US’s foreign policy and their expectation that every country will bow down. You’re probably too occupied with writing these thought devoid essays in RUclips comment sections but have you ever picked up a history book? Europe has gone around the world pillaging, destroying, and stealing from native cultures for hundreds of years, they’re literally the reigning champions at such. Even Russia, China, and Japan have a worse histories but your vendetta against the US won’t let history alter your irrational narrative. Stop acting like you’re some intellectual cultural philosopher, you’re just cringe.

Because of a culture of excessive respect for authority (doesn't matter who the person is) the system itself is naturaly "rigged" to give authorities and/or the accuser an edge. From an isolated view, you have the same chance of being wrongfully sentenced to the death penalty as being wrongfully sentenced to any other prison time. If you think that's a civilized society, along with Japan's executive body being consistently senior ie. the body that are descendants of horrific war criminals circa ww2 and beyond, you are being naive

Do you have a superiority complex that your thoughts or ways of life are the only correct ones? See if party 1 thinks pineapple on pizza is good and party 2 thinks it is bad, they don't have to actively criticise each other. Both people can live their own ways and they never even cross paths because they live in separate countries... They are their own independent liberated country, their traditions, their beliefs... Learn to accept? I see all sorts of things all around the world and I hate some of those things but since it is happening in a different country with their own traditions and belief-system I accept it as their reality since they themselves RESPECT it. For example: Compulsory military service. You may favor it, maybe I don't. I wouldn't call you wrong, you shouldn't call me wrong. We have our own valid justifications. If you have a brain with 500 brain cells, then so does the person who doesn't like your ways. I hate this mentality of people "I know I am correct". You are no more special than the other person. No one is. I have the maturity to accept diversity, especially when it isn't directly affecting me. Like in this case, if you aren't Japanese, you shouldn't have a critical public opinion on it that a Japanese might read. It only spreads negativity and clash of beliefs. You don't have to fix something that is not yours nor you are getting paid for.

I mean firstly your stance is actually worrying because you're basically saying you shouldn't voice your opinion on what a nation if you aren't part of it, no matter how much you disagree with them. Putting that aside though the person I replied to is somehow taking away from this video that Japan is more civilized than they thought because of their death penalty policy. Which is ridiculous because the point of the video is to show the bad of Japan's death penalty system. They are tryingt o say this video thinks it's "inherently inhumane" even though it's a fairly neutral video. Mostly informative while bringing up cases of disjunction with it. As you can see they are literally wrong and didn't understand the video completely. This isn't a matter of me projecting my opinions on Japan (the last sentence of my og comment), but correcting their bias.

    • @rational.deviant
      @rational.deviant 2 месяца назад +2

      @@Kevin-go5we Worrying? What for? What you are implying is like interfering in someone else's business. What's to take pride in, about interfering with customs and traditions of another country?
      (Please note the following) Like I said before, you will feel that someone else is doing something wrong only if you are biased that you are correct and better = superiority complex. Well maybe they are correct too and they think your ways of life are wrong. I already explained why that could be, the brain cell example. See, every country especially non-American countries actually have an ancient history. Their administration is based upon their traditional values and religious influence that extends in history beyond the invention of English language. Something might be a serious issue for them which is normal to you and vice versa. For example should you really voice an opinion about eating fish in Bhutan or not eating beef in India? You could argue about the nutritional benefits and how these countries are hurting their nutrition by not eating fish and beef. But, you have no idea about their belief system. They are different people with different cultures. Should Bhutan and India criticise beef and fish consumption in Usa and Japan? And try to "liberate" or fix USA?
      Let's take away humans for a second to reduce the heat of the argument and think unbiasedly. What you are trying to say is like you are a Pigeon and you are trying to voice a criticizing public opinion on Penguins. Maybe you are calling Penguins lazy for not flying. Do you see the problem? They are different, and hence they do things much differently than you. Penguins have been doing it like that for so long that is natural to them and their correct way of life. All this time, Penguins also think that pigeons and most other birds are wrong. Now let me add another layer. It is usually only the pigeons that have a lot to say about fishes, camels, elephants, earthworms, crabs and everything unrelated to them. No penguin, crabs, or elephants ever say anything about how pigeons are wrong. They are rather respectful about Pigeon's lifestyle and won't publicly criticize it. Basically implying that you won't see Japan, Bhutan, Azerbaijan, Malaysia etc ever criticizing the west.
      You should have that respect and tolerance for people's traditional belief system. Especially if they are actually different, from a different civilization like British aren't related to Japanese or Koreans. Muslims have things to say about circumcision. Western people have things to say about freedom of choice. There's clash of interest and traditional beliefs there. I think it is wrong for both Muslims and western people to criticize each other about their stances on circumcision. The belief system is different! This is how you achieve harmony, by actually showing acceptance towards people of diverse origin. Not by criticizing based on YOUR beliefs. Be aware of the superiority complex. If you think you are smart and justified, the person next to you with opposite beliefs is also equally smart and justified. You don't have a halo on your head that makes your opinion worthier than theirs. If you indulge in that argument you are doing nothing but creating friction and desiring to establish your dominance over what should be the right or correct. Whereas, what I am suggesting is accepting diversity. If something is indeed wrong, the people of that community will rebel. Otherwise, respect their freedom, independence and sovereignty, even though their choices seem odd to you. They also find your choices odd, they just don't voice it.

      @@rational.deviant I agree with you, that too much individualism and capitalism is bad. And though I agree with you also that humans are interdependent and rely on one another. I disagree that it's possible for all people to progress equally.
      The world is made through hierarchies,
      where there are key things at the center, and more idiomatic things on the outside.
      (Like a city center with a core, central identity. Where the further away you get from the center, the less the identity is strong.)
      Where there are things most important/powerful at the top and things helpful that serve the top from the bottom.
      (Like a mountain, whose top allows you to see all that is below, but which isn't possible with out the lower parts of the mountain building up to the top)
      I see this as the structure of reality.
      So with that being said, I think the best way around this problem is if people at the top of the mountain (so-to-say) willingly help and support the people at the bottom with their power and wealth. And the people at the bottom serve and are loyal to the person at the top.
      This is why for the large part I'm an Orthodox Christian, because I realised you can't force rich people to care for the poor though force (government legislation). You need to change their hearts.
      The same way you can't force a deadbeat dad to care for his family through child support, you need to affect and change his heart through self-sacrificial love.
      What do you think about this idea? Do you want me to recommend some videos with this worldview I provided?

      @@olubunmiolumuyiwa Yes I agree with you like 70%. But actually I want you to imagine finance from the perspective of the law of conservation of mass and energy. If you become heavier by 10Kg there's some place on the planet that lost its 10kg. Basically if a person becomes rich, he becomes rich by the same amount that others became poor. When a person amasses wealth, they take it out of public circulation and for simplicity let's say they freeze it in their bank, no other person has access to it now. Less money in circulation means more lack of money which means more poverty. So whenever a person is getting richer, he is making someone poorer. By your logic of them helping the poor, it means that first they make others poor and then help? How about not making them poor in the first place? I have a few ideas how I would implement it.

      different doesent automatically mean better or worse it is what it is every country have it own thing because of some historical or cultural reasons and you also must add moral and ethical standards that are different and change constantly so iam reluctant to criticise. Many people believe death penalty is good, many believe is bad, many will argue keep you locked decades before execution is worse and many dont want prison at all but i must say in western world there is this weird ethical shift at least in public perception where we are caring more about criminals and victims and societal impact is "ignored". Personally i think Europe have better law system but US have better court system. And btw people should never forget regardless of your believes nothing can be perfect because people are not perfect and because it looks good on paper it will be better in reality.
