Good Day Capt.... Thanks you for a clearly illusion about QNH, QNE, Radio altimeter on flight simulator. It help us easier now to understand it... Have a nice weekend.. 😎👍
Hello Captain, thanks for this clear explanation. Just a quick one, so the altitude shown on the passengers' screens is inaccurate? Since at any point during the flight, we can know the exact height from QNE but not the exact Altitude. In this case, how's the altitude, shown on the passenger's screen, is calculated.
I'm not sure where the passengers' entertainment system takes the info from, I guess the altitude you see there is the Flight Level, using 1013.25Hpa as a reference.
I have a question: if aircraft A has set a QNH and Aircraft B has set QNE and they are approaching each other in the mid air, then would the tcas assist them to avoid collusion?
Hey, great question!! As far as I know you should still get the TCAS since this system interrogates the transponders and the transponders report the Pressure alitutdes.
Hey, I hope you are doing great!! Very good question, the QFF is the pressure at the mean sea level (like the QNH) taking into account the temperature (not like the QNH that assumes that the temperature is the Standard). Let me know if you have more questions. 👍
Hey, thanks for watching...the Altitude is higher because the QNH (in the example) is below the 1013hpa, thus the Altitude is higher than the Flight Level..

Hello captain, would you please advise which flight simulator you are using please?
Hi, I use Xpland 11 and Prepar 3d
legend .
Thanks for your support

hi captain ! what is the difference between QFF AND QNH..?

@@PILOTCLIMB thanks captain 😄

4:10 the altitude will be lower.
