  • The developer defrauded the bank and ended going to jail. The development has been left ever since.

Here in Ontario, the development would have roads, curbs, hydro, etc. in before the houses were that far along. Strange to see them like this, like someone dropped them into a field. No sewage, electric, etc. Would be a lot for someone else to buy it as-is and try to get it complete and livable.

All the main utilities at least is what I have seen on every house, or other building that I have done plumbing on, Except some mains like water and sewer on a parking garage I worked on some.

Interesting background. Nice to see coverage of other types of sites like this. Subbed you.

This is almost surreal- what the suburbs will look like when the economy and society collapses, or something like a high altitude nuclear detonation produces an EMP that fries everything electronic, rendering everything from our phones to any car made after 1981 that has computer controls.

Where is this? There is so much that could be salvaged. It's a shame to see it go to waste.

The developer needed jail time. This whole operation was a fraud.

In a legit operation, wouldn't roads come first? Followed by laying of water/sewage/utility grids? Then prototypes of available models? Then slowly, the residences themselves as the purchase orders were filled? That's the way I always thought how it worked... Maybe it's different now!

legitimate developers do start with infrastructure like you said, but in cases of bank fraud like shown in the video developers will just plop cheap, empty homes down on land. these homes are the human-size equivalent of houses you'd build in a woodshop class

From my understanding water nor sewer was ever developed owners didn't know til after they purchased which they did w/out touring the homes just went by developers word...sad
