    Most hydraulic shops sell them it’s a diamond plated tapered but for cutting threads like 2” house and stuff like that your regular taps don’t fit .. they work amazingly for real large threads put ‘em in your rotary or dremel style tool and they save the day don’t have to be as worried with a cutting off wheel.. I think napa in the us sells them too

  • @worgaron13
    @worgaron13 Год назад +2

    So am I right in saying if you remove the sun gear that'll make the wheel free spin, like how you remove the half shaft on a truck so that way you could tow it

    Mate , the CAT loader what was the fault in the end ? Did the cleaning of the hand control valve fix that ?

  • @jjhnvhn
    @jjhnvhn Год назад +2

    What is the highest torque spec you have ever had to deal with? What is the common theme of torque specs on heavy equipment? Allot of things have allot of bolts does that make torque specs lower over all or are they still high in comparison to let's say automotive or general assembly torque specs.

    • @Robs.channel
      @Robs.channel Год назад

      At Weir we used hytorq to stretch bolts and torque them that way. They went up 3000nm I think. Also big wrenches with crane mounts to to torque to spec

    • @desertdawg7727
      @desertdawg7727 Год назад

      That final drive nut Cam was torquing usually runs 1200-1400 ft lb and Cat sells a fancy 680 dollar socket that fits it 😂😂

    Hey thanks for the vid ! I'm going to be attending Heavy Duty school soon and hope to get apprenticeship at CAT. Looking to primarily work in the oil fields or mines. If I want to later go independent and get paid through my corporation, would that be easy ? Would I be able to sub contract under a company in the mines or oil fields ?
    Also as subcontractors, do they pay for the parts upfront or does the contractor who they work for deal with that ? I spoke with a HD Tech and he told me he's a subcontractor but he didn't get into any details. Hope to hear from you soon.
