Many thanks, I've just replaced the DMD on a 10 yo projector following this guide. Fully functional after repare. Let's go for 10 additional years. Full dust cleanup, the projector is like a new one.😀
I often wonder why people put these videos up, but thank you so much for doing it! Ordered the part from aliexpress and followed the video closely. No dead pixels/snow! Brilliant! Saved me a load of money replacing my projector.
I searched for about a year for the correct chip. A guy in China in a facebook group for projectors that had a warehouse of replacement parts knew what chip my projector needed. It's can get frustrating.
Thanks for the tutorial NorbertBM, did it completely solve the problem? And where did you buy the chip? I find it very expensive on some sites... I'm surprised you didn't remove any plastic protection on the thermal paste before you installed it, hopefuly it works well now.
Hi NorbertBM! Thanks for the very helpful instructional video. I have followed the steps and managed to swap the DMD chip as instructed, but now all of a sudden I have a black screen with 3 horizontal white lines, so I must have broken or adjusted something by accident. Any thoughts on what the issue could be? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Keep well.
@@NorbertBM thanks for getting back to me. I did and unfortunately old and new chip shows the same issues (except old chip shows black with white lines AND spots, but new chip shows black and white lines). I hope it could be the chip locking mechanism. I closed it without turning the lock switch.
HA! I figured it out. When you put the chip housing back at 11:47, my chip housing had a locking mechanism that I needed to unlock. I unlocked the mechanism and inserted the chip into the white housing and locked it again so that the chip was flush. Worked like a charm! Thanks again for the great video - wouldn't have been able to do it without it.
Hi, great video thanks. I know it's been 1 year so the seller on aliexpress is probably gone. You wouldn't be able to retrieve the purchase link because I can't find the chip anywhere. A thousand thanks
Hi Norbert. Can please give me the ID No. of the chip you replaced? There are a lot of different DMD chip on Aliexpress and I would like to avoid any error to fix my HD600X. Thanks Fabio
Hi Fabio. I have an Optoma HD600X-LV and used chip 1272-6439B, worked like a charm. I purchased it on Aliexpress from a seller called Shenzhen 3C Components Store would highly recommend them - fast efficient service.

Merci 👍👍👍👍
😪No lock DMD socket ?
My main concern is finding the correct DLP chip for the DMD. Are they universal ?
